We just buy the season pass for it as we don’t have Paramount TV. I guess the other seasons had already run the course when we ordered them.
I'm good with this, but let's replace their scenes with more of the blond barrel rider.

John Dutton going old west shoot out was nuts. Thought for sure he'd have Rip take him to the train.
I don't think wimpy Jamie was behind the hit... My guess.. Newly found Dad.. Saw it as a chance for revenge and get rich off his sons back.

Based On Jamie's response to Cassey regarding what he did after the shoot outs, and why he didn't call or visit, you'd think he'd confront his real Dad and then inform the Dutton's to redeem himself a bit.
Thought last nights episode was solid once again..
Casey making the right choice choosing his wife and Kid over the ranch. Shall be interesting if he ever is able to convince them to return again.
Beth meeting a woman with even a nastier/meaner streak then herself. "Keep your enemies close" shall setup an interesting storyline.
Liked John and Beth conversation on the porch regarding the Ranch and why it takes a toll on people..
and the comment of "This father son bond we have has gone too far" was a
moment. Actually didn't mind the Jimmy side story this week.
As much as Travis seems to dislike babysitting him, he did have a good conversation in the truck.. Really liked the part that if he really wants to be a cowboy, then he needs to do it for the horse.. Not for himself, or the crowds..

Had a discussion last night with my wife after the episode regarding whether Travis was a career actor or a career cowboy/rider, since he looks so talented on a horse. Looked him up and had absolutely no idea that Travis is played by Taylor Sheridan. Maybe that was common knowledge but we’re relatively new to the show and were completely in the dark. Reading further, Sheridan grew up on a ranch, learned riding skills at a young age and was working on a cattle ranch by the age of 14. He is also part owner of the Four Sixes ranch where Jimmy is headed.

I knew he was an actor when it clicked he was the sheriff in Sons of Anarchy. I had no idea about his history of screenwriting. I too also looked him up last season because of how natural he looked riding

Obviously it worked out for Sheridan but it could have gone very wrong for him as well. Leaving a hit show is risky. On Battlestar Galactica, a couple of minor actors left the show for other opportunities and it was a risk and it didn't work out for them. Jorja Fox left both ER and West Wing for CSI. It paid off. Rory Cochrane forced his way out of his CSI Miami contract and then basically disappeared.
The Travis character is interesting because John Dutton and Rip and Lloyd have this "Prove to me you are not a disappointment" theme and instead we get a character that kind of saw a little deeper and tried to actually listen to Jimmy.
Mayor of Kingstown isn't half bad. It's got some flaws but it's got a level of grit missing in this current soap opera. Sometimes when I see John Dutton yelling at Jimmy, it's almost like when I walk into a thread and yell at Otis.

Filler episode.. Did anything actually happen other then Jamie finding out what we all knew, and introducing a new character ( Sunny)?
We get only 10 episodes per season and if you add it all up, they have wasted at least 1 episode on 6666 and Jamie with nothing gained... What exactly is Jimmy suppose to be doing there other then "finding himself"?
We get some rambling conversations about "don't sleep on the ground" .. and "you just met 1 of the 3 most important people in the world".. what a waste of time...
The whole Rip vs Lloyd was irritating at a point, but the last conversation they had finally brought out the reason..
They both want Walker dead, but Rip reminds Lloyd that John wants him there and the Ranch Always comes first.. I think Lloyd took that to heart.. Until he walked out on the Fire sex scene.. Have to think that will come to a head here soon, with one or the other dead.
Jamie's kid.. Did anyone remember that plot line? I sure didn't until she just shows up..
How'd she find out he had split ways with the Dutton's?
I think his Dad has served his purpose, so hopefully they allow Jamie a "shot" at redeeming himself.

I liked the dialogue at the beginning about solace, but otherwise it was...eh.
Apparently Jimmy and the 6666 is getting a spin-off show, so this must be a pseudo pilot for that.

I could have written a better episode.
To call back on Kayce in the ghillie suit and worrying about the ranch being an open target for the enemies of the Duttons, multiple snipers attack the ranch.
Episode starts with Kayce, Monica and Tate returning and Tate and Carter seeming like friends but end up in a fight in front of John Dutton. Tate punches Carter down and Carter swears his revenge.
Gator the cook mentions his cell phone is not working, and everyone notices all their cell phones are being jammed, and then is shot in the back of the head with a Barrett Light 50 anti material rifle at long range as the snipers announce themselves. Kayce is shot and wounded in the leg and can't move from out in the open with Monica.
The ranchhands kill their horses to provide makeshift cover out in the open. Teeter is gut shot trying to make a run for the bunkhouse to get some rifles. Lloyd and Rip stop everyone from trying to get to her as she's only being left alive as bait to draw out the others.
Kayce says he's losing a lot of blood and Monica thinks he might die and finally tells him the truth. She only married him for the money and the allure of a future fortune and to escape the Reservation. And that's why she's always so resentful of him, she blamed him for not actually loving him. She was actually always in love with his brother, the dead Lee Dutton. Kayce holds her down to keep her from running to find Tate.
One of the snipers flanks Lloyd and Rip and is about to kill them when Walker charges him and stabs the assailant to death with a knife. Lloyd and Rip watch as Walker stabs the man 50-60 times. They have to come to terms with the man they hate just saved their lives.
Colby finally gets to Teeter and she's dying. He says he loves her and then the radio hidden under his jacket goes off and Teeter can hear the voices of the other snipers. No one else is around so Colby strangles Teeter to finish her off. Colby is the secret turncoat to infiltrate the ranch.
Jamie shows up to see his father to tell him the truth about the background of the man who set up the attacks. He hits the sniper with the Barrett with his truck. Pins him against a tree. Beth Dutton shows up from hiding and demands to know what took Jamie so long. Jamie walks up to the pinned assailant and promises him that he'll find the man's family and kill them all, just to make it "equal" Then he douses the man in gasoline from the jerry can in the back of his truck and sets him on fire. Beth starts going full Karen mode again and Jamie pins her up against a tree. Makes her look at a plastic bag floating around the ground by the wind. Says not to test him. Nice Guy Jamie is over.
Carter runs towards a fire in the distance and then sees a rope. Then the rope looped around a large sign post. Then Tate's body hanging from a noose from the post. The last sniper with her face covered puts a gun to Carter's head, says it should be street trash like him who is the future of Yellowstone and leaves. Carter desperately tries to undo the rope at the post, thinking he can save Tate, not knowing Tate is already dead.
John Dutton has a shotgun and is rounding the building and he sees Carter tugging at the rope and Tate dead. He remember Carter's threat to Tate and shoots Carter. Then as Carter crawls away, Dutton shoots him in the back of the head. Shot fades back and you see Sheriff Haskell witness the whole thing. He just arrived after someone managed to get to a landline phone and call the police.
Episode ends with Haskell pointing his gun at John Dutton telling him to surrender.
After credits scene - Last sniper drives away and takes her mask off. It's Mia Kirshner as Mandy from the 24 universe.
Future Conflicts
1) John Dutton is now in a massive criminal/legal mess for killing Carter
2) Kayce and Monica are now beyond repair. Their son is dead and Monica finally told Kayce the truth
3) Colby is a traitor and a secret threat to the ranch
4) Rip and Lloyd now must contend with "owing" Walker.
5) Jamie is no longer a simp, he's now the Al Swearagen version of new Jamie. He's coming to take over the ranch and Beth won't stop him. A battle for control over the ranch now boils down to Jamie and Beth as Kayce has a nervous breakdown
6) Yellowstone is now linked to the Jack Bauer universe.

As far as we know, Beth hasn't told Rip why she can't have kids.. Hopefully they are saving that for the end of this season and Jamie getting what is due to him.

While he wasn't exactly fully developed, I feel like the Lloyd storyline is a departure from what his character actually was. It would make more sense to have one of the younger cowboys want to constantly fight him, but it wouldn't give Rip the same conflict, so I get that it has to be Lloyd, but it doesn't make sense for Lloyd.

Besides the first episode, I'm disappointed so far this season. Like stated above, there are numerous story lines that I just don't care about. I guess what is going on right now is better than watching horses stop on a dime over and over like earlier in the season. While impressive, I don't need to see it numerous times.

2 Fast is one of my preferred late night, brain dead, throw on something to watch movies that I engage in with some regularity. Probably have seen it 50 times. I never would have put 2 and 2 together that Rip and Carter Verone were played by the same actor. If you gave me 10 guesses as to which actor from Yellowstone appeared in that movie, I never would have picked him.

I guess it depends what you are starting with. We have Comcast, so all episodes are available to us for free (we don't pay for Paramount+).

No cable, just over the air and free stuff like Roku. I do have Amazon Prime. I think Roku TV has season 3 & 4 but haven't looked to hard into it. I'm assuming you have to get a premium package to view via Peacock or Paramount. I will if need be, just looking for other options if available.

I have no issues with Lloyd's anger..
He had a one night stand with blondie and thought it was more then that.. Watching her hook up with someone that was suppose to be on a
has been chewing him up inside.Guessing this beat down will end the storyline, especially since the women have been booted from the Bunkhouse.

Like anything else, most services have some sort of free trial. I have a friend that doesn't have cable, but he can still somehow get the free week that Comcast gives for their paid content (IIRC, they offer that twice a year). So, he binges shows in a week when it's free. I believe that would include access to Peacock for free as well. The point being, if you researched it and timed it right, you could probably watch the entire series for free. Might want to wait until this season is over though. You might have to do that season after season moving forward. It's hard for me to try to figure out how to watch it, because all the episodes show up as being available to me.

Lots of ways to stream stuff for free. Just head over to the Terrarium thread (we really ought to change the title). I still just use Cinema HD.
Yeah, done with annoying Jimmy/Lloyd/Walker too, but, Beth makes up for it.

I’ve honestly gotten to the point that when a Monica scene comes on I use that chance to take pee or grab a drink. Just have zero interest in her character.
