Yellowstone - Paramount TV (3 Viewers)

Loved the scenic wrangling.. Could have watched them bringing in the cattle for the full episode as it was the best parts. I knew the old guy was a goner the minute they laid down under the tree. The moment with the wife was heart breaking :sadbanana:
Tired of the whimpy Jamie getting used again and again every season. Time for Beth to finish him off for good.
The whole president coming to the reservation was stupid and a waste of time. They've been building up that storyline long enough, time to finish that one as well.
Give us more ranch time, and less soap opera stuff.

I don't know. As I think about it more, Jamie is getting conned in about the best way possible. I wouldn't mind getting conned that way. Besides, what does he owe the Dutton's anyway? They are terrible to him in every way imaginable. Take down the governor, green light the airport, and threaten to reveal the train station location to keep yourself out of jail.

Couple of comments I made to my wife when watching the last episode:

Me: "What president would authorize shooting of dogs? Only one in their final term that's for sure."
Wife: "Shut up! I'm trying to watch this"

Me: "Are there no mosquitos in Wyoming? How are they all just laying on the ground sleeping without bugs getting on them?"
Wife: "Seriously, shut up."

Me: "There's not enough in that flask. They gonna need at least 2 or 3 of those."
Wife: "Well you have a point there"

Me: "Gross! Now Beth's breath smells like cigarettes"
Wife: "Now you know how I felt all those years"

Me: "That hippy chick seriously peeled just one potato. Thanks for the help Summer."
Wife: :Now ignoring me:

Me: "Why does the evil Indian woman kind of sound like Batman?"
WIfe:

Me: "How is she walking in heels in the dirt? You always seem to have trouble doing that."
Wife: "You know... You kind of ruin everything."

We had the same discussion. There is no way that is happening and just didn't belong. Such a strange scene.

Not only that it looked like she had never peeled potatoes before. I thought she was supposed to be vegan. I would think that is 2nd nature and she could have peeled pounds of those things in seconds.

And she admitted it. He doesn’t care. She knows exactly what he wants. Their ambitions are aligned.

This show has become unwatchable. He just rides up to find the wife and she just happens to be the only one walking out of the tent?
And she just knows because she doesn't see him 1,000 feet away?

It's bad.

Told the wife after I saw it. Just once I would like to see a woman try to use sex to manipulate a guy on TV, only to have him take what shes offering, then show her the door and flip it back on her. "That's for the secks! Now see you later!"

I thought it was one of the best episodes in a few seasons that didn't involve Banshee style action scenes.

If you didn't like this episode you should probably just stop watching the show, it is obviously not for you.

Has there ever been a show that people hate watch as much as Yellowstone?
I just discovered in the winter, binged all the seasons, and now enjoying this one. only place I hear negativity about the show is this thread.

The only people walking out of the crowd would be family of those that went out to get the cattle. Being that the guy was 110 yrs old his wife was likely worried that he would have issues so would be more worried than most and once they started coming into the ranch area would likely try and search out here hubbie. Seemed plausible to me.

Episode with Lots of building. Hope it pays off..
Jamie about to take on Dad... How long will Beth hold her card to take him down? And if she uses it, does he reveal the train station, which would destroy everything the Dutton's have?
Beth looking to save the ranch by getting into the beef industry. A screen shot had 6666 on the web site. Not sure if that was just a ranch that sells the cattle to the company, or if 6666 is the company. And if so, Beth asking if
John knows the ranch and his "yea, that is who we are renting land from" response seemed to completely ignore Jimmy's side story.
Speaking of which, that story sure died a quick death..

Hopefully the mid-season finale starts the battle of all battles.

Its the same show as last week. Nothing much happens and instead of sitting around a campfire listening to music having meaningless conversations they are sitting around the fair listening to music having meaningless conversations.

The overall quality of the show has dipped but it's still entertaining. The biggest quibble I have this season so far is there isn't a fear-for-your-life bad guy. Market Equities has taken a backseat for now. There's been a poisonous weed killer incident from the past, a government agency investigating dead wolves, a bar fight, and a cat fight between Beth and Summer. The biggest potential pot boiler is Jamie and Sarah scheming a way to take down John. None of those are edge of your seat, must see TV with the main characters subjected to repeated peril or potential loss of life or limb. Maybe things will rachet up some with half the season still to come.

I think at some point before the series is over, Jamie is going to end up saving the family's bacon - in something he has been doing behind the scenes, overlooked and under appreciated.

Beth looking to save the ranch by getting into the beef industry. A screen shot had 6666 on the web site. Not sure if that was just a ranch that sells the cattle to the company, or if 6666 is the company. And

The Sixes is a key ranch that has been featured throughout the series. Remember when they send the broken ginger down to learn to cowboy? Yeah.

Side note... Sheridan is a part owner of the actual Sixes ranch. It's a real place.

All the artists in the show? Real Texas country artists. Walker is Ryan Bingham who I love. Abby is Lainey Wilson. Shane Smith & The Saints were featured. The show is actually fantastic in that regard.

I like the slow building. A lot. I hate shows that do nothing but manufacture drama over and over and over and over.

Do you guys think the hippie chick will ever fully heal from the beating Beth put on her? Man that has been a process. 😂

Not sure how many fights you've been in but that **** can take a couple weeks to fully go away.

The Jamie/Sara arc is the show for season 5. It will have an explosive end. I could care less for the Beth Arc. Most fans love her. I think she is a terrible human being.

Jamie on the other hand just wants his fathers approval. He always wanted to be a Cowboy and Dutton blocked that from ever happening. He has a tragic story arc.

Dutton as the Governor has been a clown show. He also has zero business acumen. Beth is gonna set up a slaughter house on the Dutton Ranch otherwise they are done.

I want to see what Jamie ends up doing along with Sara. That arc is pure scandalous. And this season has been worlds better than the extremely meh season 4.

Seasons 1-3 are gold and this one is setting up for a monster second half.

Well, dang.. That was a great episode.. And I knew it was Mid-season finale. I just didn't know that it will be summer before it returns.

There is a true :tfp: coming..
If Jamie strikes first, John and Rip will hang Jamie in the middle of the Train Station. And corporate woman will know who did it.
If Beth strikes, corporate woman knows and will take out Beth.. And possibly John as well.

The only out I see that saves John, Beth and Rip is taking both Jamie and corporate woman to the train station together... :oldunsure:

Yeah, going to be interesting to see how this fight unfolds. Neither side wants to use their trump card, cause they know the other side will do the same.

Interesting to see jimmy again.

what do you think the conversation between Dutton and psycho could have been at the end of the show? I don’t think Dutton was supporting killing Jamie.

Interesting to see jimmy again.

Thought it was pretty obvious they’d be taking their cattle to the 6666 to bring him back into the fold.

Always thought it was funny that Beth thought she had some huge trump card on Jamie. All the bodies are buried there. Guess she clearly didn’t know.

Yeah, but what was odd was how the hell did she know to go there if she doesn't know what the place is for? Did I miss something? She was there waiting on Jamie when he showed up with his Dad's body. Despite all the obvious flaws and plot holes I still enjoy the show - visually beautiful and entertaining enough.

I thought she was simply driving on that road and stumbled on Jamie getting ready to dispose of the body.

With so many folks bashing the show I can't tell if you are serious or not. Based on how they've described the location I don't see any way she just stumbled across him doing this. She knows of the place but apparently doesn't know that's where the dump bodies. Just weird all around.

You could also ask the question of why it took Jamie most of a season to figure out that it was an empty threat, but with this show, it's best to not ask those questions and just roll with it

Agree - I told my wife, theres zero chance she’d ever say anything - Jamie would have to know this.

The only people that aren't terrible humans are Tate, Monica, and Kayce. Everyone else is pretty much a horrible human. Jimmy turned himself around but I'm not sure he's fully redeemed himself at this point.

Mid season finale was meh. Hoping for an explosive second half of what has been a good season thus far.

They definitely had a whoops there. For her to get the drop on him at the train station she had to know that’s where he’d dump the body, because that’s where they dump all the bodies. And if she knew that her leverage over Jamie meant nothing.

Just finished season 3. Entertaining show but you really have to suspend reality.

Is it bad that I was rooting for the serial killer to catch Monica when he was chasing her up the hillside. I'm not sure if it's bad writing or a really bad actor, but I fastforward almost every scene that she's in.

Her character changes BIG time over season 4 and this season she is one of the best characters. Her and Casey's storyline is the best of this season so far

Agreed, my wife and I have come to love her. And my wife commented after the last episode how beautiful she is with her current hair style (no spoilers).

Interesting. I find this season’s storyline with them boring. And her acting still sucks.

I'm 7 episodes into season 4, and I still find her extremely dull. The show has fallen off the rails a bit. I'm only watching out of habit at this point.
