Wait, you were being serious? Wow. Okay then, let's rewind for a minute....
Do you think it's okay to leave an 18 month old alone with any dog? Maybe a Golden Retriever or a Labrador?
Did you read the article? They didn't leave the 18 month old alone with the dog. The 18 month old wandered into the backyard and was immediately attacked. Sure, they should have had some kind of child proofing to keep the kid from being able to get outside the house, but that doesn't have anything to do with the fact that the dog went to town on it as soon as the kid appeared. That's not a dog that should be around people - period. And its this breed over and over and over again. You don't want to see it, you'll make any and every excuse for the behavior, distort statistics, etc., etc. You're straight up delusional about this.
You can't deny how negligent the parents were here.
This dog was aggressive in the past. I don't care what breed of dog it is.....you do not leave your 18 month old with a dog and definitely not with a dog that was aggressive in the past (inside, outside...doesn't matter). They were ####### idiots. Plain and simple. You can knock the breed all you want but it's foolish to do so. That's like blaming Glock for making such a deadly gun when someone uses one in a murder instead of blaming the actual murderer. Your logic and thought process on all of this makes no sense and frankly, it's scary.
So not only did you not read the article, you couldn't even bother to read the snippet I quoted from it in my original post:
Soon after the attack, the toddler's mother surrendered the pit bull to be euthanized. She told animal control officers the dog was not known to be violent.
Thanks for verifying your delusional take on this though. Keep making stuff up and ignoring reality to support your misguided opinion.
And now back to our regularly scheduled program....
Dad: Oh, and Junior - Don't forget to not go in the back yard by yourself because our dog might kill you.
Junior: Gee Dad, it sure is swell we have such a great pet.
