Yet another Pitt Bull attack (2 Viewers)

The whole thing is messed up, but did you see the dude just casually walking around the incident holding the little girl by the hand? The dogs we chomping at anything in sight and this idiot is standing right there in the middle of it all casually taking it all in.

I applaud the guys who helped, but if me and my kid were right there, the first thing I'm doing is scooping her up and taking her out of the situation. WTF dude? That kid was fresh meat
I have a feeling this is normal for the neighborhood.

Pitbull attack at the dog park today, tore up another dog pretty bad. Totally unprovoked. Owner made a run for it with her dog, police boxed in the car that was suspected to be hers and were all over the place looking for her.

If a pit went after my dog, I'd kill the pit, then the owner. Then the owner's family.

Tanner Smith, a kindergartener who would have turned six on Tuesday, was severely bitten numerous times by two pit bulls around 7 p.m. Sunday while the boy was at a family friend’s Vidor home, the Orange County Sheriff's Department told INSIDE EDITION.

Tanner was bitten about 16 times, with one bit going through an artery in his neck, his grandmother, Melissa Phillips, told KFDM News.

An autopsy will determine the cause of death, but the boy's neck was so severely mauled, medical examiners were having a hard time making a final determination, officials said.

The same pit bulls were quarantined for 10 days in December of last year after they bit a 9-year-old girl and her mother as the pair walked by the Aloha Street home, police said.

The dogs allegedly dug a hole below the fence in place and made puncture wounds in the victims' skin, but the injuries did not meet the criteria under Texas law to deem the dogs dangerous, cops said.

Didn't need to read that, prob won't be returning to the thread.

Now that my stomach has dropped, I think they should put the owners down. Since that won't happen, the dogs should be put down and the owners should be charged with whatever can be thrown at them, hopefully negligent homicide or something serious like that. Owners like this need to be made an example of.

Enough with these dogs.

I'm cool with people who want to own these trailer dogs. I just wish there was a law where as anyone who owns one of these beasts that kills someone should be thrown into a lions den. It's all about accountability.

Maybe similar to sex offenders, pit bull owners should have to register their pit bulls online so you can see if you live near one?

My dad has a great hunting dog. Some sort of Brittany mix. Listens very well, probably better than any dog I've even seen. My dad has a walking path behind his house and was out walking the dog today. The neighbor's pit attacked the dog and roughed him up pretty good. My dad had to kick the pit 4-5 times before he let go of the Britt. He pretty sure the pit has broken ribs. The cops took the dog....time will tell if the owners get it back.

He should've kept stomping until it was a lifeless mass of blood and flesh. You can't rely on the animal control or owners to put it down.

I hear ya, but I'm sure in the moment, he was more concerned about his dog.

When my wife and I were young we lived in a pretty crappy neighborhood. The people that lived next door to us had a pit that they didn't do any training with. One day as I was loading my chocolate lab into the back of the SUV (leashed) to go to the dog park their pit attacked. They had the dog off leash just sitting with them in the front yard (they were on one of their TWO front yard couches, great neighborhood). The dog got a hold of the scruff on the back of my dogs neck and pulled her out of the car. Luckily, on the way down I was able to grab the pit around the neck and just started squeezing, holding both dogs in the air, until the pit let go. I slammed the pit onto the driveway and kept a hold of it's throat then mounted it until the neighbor finally got his lazy ### over there.

He was super apologetic but I told him if I ever see that dog outside without a leash again I'm going to shoot it dead. I called animal control but because my dog only had minimal damage (puncture wounds on the scruff) they determined it wasn't vicious. Those neighbors ended up evicted a few weeks later so I never had to follow through on my promise, but I absolutely would have.

My Yorkie-poodle mix would be a quick snack for a pit. I'm especially aware of this and will yank his little a$$ into the air with his leash Indiana Jones style. Then hopefully curb stomp the pit to death in front of its owner.

eta: In my dreams. In reality I'll prance off with purse dog in my arms, shrieking the whole way.

I'm no fan of pitbulls but I'm pretty sure they aren't the only breed that would devour your ##### dog.

almost had one of those vicious pitbull attacks in my house today. Came down this morning and i heard the pitbull whining. Looked over and our cat was laying near the water bowl and the pitbull was crying cause the cat wouldn't move.

We need to burn and destroy the whole breed today!!!!!!!

Picking your dog up isn't a smart thing to do either...it's going to be defenseless up there and you also won't be able to fend off the pit

We have a facebook page for the subdivsion I live in. Someone posted on it over the weekend. Paraphrasing:

As you might know I have 4 dogs. I have noticed some people here have a bias against pitbulls. Our six month old puppy is a pit mix. When it got loose it ran up to a woman and she started kicking at it. She was aggressive so he was aggressive. The next time he got loose he ran up to a man who was jogging. He didnt over react and the dog just sniffed him. Our dog is gentle and would not hurt you. If he gets loose and approches please do not kick at him, he is not dangerous.

Neededless to say there was an interesting exchange between her and my neighbor who lives right next to me. His 10 pound dog got bit by a different neighbors rescue pit 4 years ago. He cares mace and a metal rod now. There are a ton of little kids in the neighborhood and the dog owners have no common sense. It is just a matter of time.

Would love to see the exchange. Pit owners are among the dumbest people on earth.

Statistics show that out of every 1000 pitbulls, one of them is a wuss, looks like you are the lucky owner who got the wuss pitbull.

Oh yours hasn't eaten children yet? Oh, phew. It's fine then.

My neighbor has A pitbull named MAX. MAX barks and growls at anyone he sees. Long story short, MAX got out one day and jumped into the other neighbor's yard. He ended up killing the neighbor's dog, and to the neighborhood's dismay...ATE the other dog.

These are Satan's pets. That's all i got to say.

There are 100's of breeds of dog. What would compel someone to get a Pit Bull? Why be the ##### who knows they are going to scare a bunch of people, unless that is their goal, which is the reason people who own them are pricks.

My reading of that facebook post: We are dog nuts, nobody needs four dogs nor could they supervise them, but we have four. We have pits. We admit right now to owning one and hope to reduce the fear impact of that by calling it a "Mix" We do not control our dog. It regularly gets out and charges people. At least once it has been aggressive. We refuse to see that aggressiveness as any indication of the dog's temperament. We implore others to demonstrate the responsibility which we refuse to exercise.

Guys, I'm going shopping this weekend for a new oven. They have this nice GE Profile on sale, but it's not really that cool looking. There is this other model, I forget the brand, but it has razor-sharp spikes coming out of it in all directions. It looks SO bad ###. And every 30 seconds or so, it shoots cyanide out of these vents on other side. Not a big deal, just need to be careful with it. I'm a pretty responsible oven owner. Oh also it has this mechanism inside that every now and then drops glass in the food you're cooking. But boy, I gotta tell ya, this thing looks AWESOME. Totally worth it. My BIL will come over and be like "woah, rad stove dude." Yeah they both cook stuff I guess, but who is gonna think the GE is cool?

So yeah, I'm not going to get the GE. I'm getting the death stove. Because it rules. And because I can. And Murica.

Was the pit euthanized afterwards?
