Not that you guys care.....but I'm rolling with Young tonight. It might be a gamble but I'm willing to take the chance. Thanks for all of your help.
I think this situation is one of those where you look at the team you're playing and decide if you're favored or not. If you are, you play it safe. If not, go for it and play Young. It's the playoffs now. What difference does it make when you lose in the playoffs if you don't win the whole thing. I'm playing the best team in the league this week, the Brady owner, so I'm taking the high risk route with Young.
I am thinking of starting Young this week for that reason. Going against LT and Peterson (Vikings). I have Parker, Jacobs, Dayne, and Young in a PPR league. I was pretty much slated to start Jacobs and Parker, but they have tough matchups.

-- Selvin Young May Start Tonight --

Thu Dec 13, 2007 --from FFMastermind.com

The Denver Post reports Broncos RB Selvin Young needs only 14 yards to crack the top five for the most single-season yardage as an undrafted rookie in NFL history. He likely will get those yards tonight in his hometown, Houston, where he might start against the Texans. "I'm really exited," Young said Wednesday. "I get an opportunity to go do what I love to do in front of my family. I'm really expecting to have a big game." Young, a former University of Texas player, has 100 carries for 569 yards, third among rookies behind Minnesota RB Adrian Peterson (1,200) and Buffalo RB Marshawn Lynch (858). Among all running backs, Young is second with a 5.7-yard average. Peterson leads with 6.1. The single-season yardage leader among undrafted rookies is RB Dominic Rhodes, who amassed 1,104 yards for Indianapolis in 2001. Young, who has started five of the past seven games, has dispersed 52 tickets for tonight's game to friends and family. "I'm playing for free this week," he said, laughing. "But, you know, it's worth it. I get a chance to see my family and have them see me play. Most of them have been watching on TV, but (now) they get a chance to be a part of it, see the atmosphere and get a feel for the NFL and what I'm getting a chance to experience."

This year, it’s Selvin Young’s turn to go home. Tonight, he’ll attempt to replicate what his close friend of the same surname accomplished 368 days ago — to send his hometown followers into giddy hysterics.

“I’m really expecting to have a big game,” Young said. “Hopefully I’ll have the same kind of fun (Vince Young) had when he played.”

So many of Selvin Young’s nearest and dearest will be in Reliant Stadium tonight that his paycheck is pretty much being turned over to the Houston Texans ticket office. He bought 52 tickets for the game.

“I’m playing for free this week — literally,” he said. “But it’s worth it for the chance for my family to see me play. Most of them have been watching on TV, so it’s a good chance to come, be a part of it, see the NFL and what I’m getting a chance to experience.

“This type of occasion, I’m really looking forward to.”

We’ll watch and see whether he starts. I reckon he will, since he’s opened the last two games with Travis Henry in relief, but we’ll see for certain in a few hours.

Also of note tonight … it appears as though the Texans will be wearing red pants for the first time. Red pants, red jerseys. They’re going to look like blood clots running around.

My hair is starting to turn gray worrying about whether or not to leave Selvin in my lineup tonight! Good luck to all with another Denver RB mystery.

Well, that was fun. Between that and Marshall not having a great FF day, that should mark the end of my FF season.

Count me in on listening to the Selvin Young hype.

Young over Portis for me.

Thought it was a good decision, ignoring the projections on Portis

I still dont think Portis will do that well vs NYG, but 3 friggin points from Young.

I think my FF season may be in jeopardy. Need to win this week to go to the Superbowl.

Oh well, I'll never learn.

My other options were

Portis @ NYG

Taylor @ PIT

Crossing fingers that ADP goes off vs CHI on MNF.

I started Young over Jacobs and he got me 6.7 pts in PPR. I predict Jacobs to get me roughly 9. Think it was worth the risk, but hope I dont live to regret it with a loss. :goodposting:

I thankfully sat them both this week(in both of my leagues)

just wishing I dropped them both about 5 weeks ago.....

do we really need to discuss this anymore? :(

I bet you Henry, or Hall is the guy this week.

Shanahan hates when experts think they know what he's going to do, thus the defensive stance when addressing Henry.
Do you always talk out of your ###? That statement is just stupid. Over the years, Shannahan has been relatively forthcoming with the "experts".
wow relax, open a window or better yet go outside, get some fresh air.And by the guy I don't mean they will be the sole beneficiary, just that I predict one of them (probably Trav) outperforms Selvin. I could be wrong.
Saying Travis might do better than Young > Pimping Selvin for big day. If only more were allowed to here my discouragement for Selvin... :lmao:
