alright guys, Im growing tired of the same old.

usually do tandoori or typical "southern" bbq dry rubs...

Looking for something new and different.

note: the ONLY way I cook my chicken, is whole bird, butterflied and cooked over indirect heat. LOVE that dry but moist finished product

thanks

Alabama White BBQ Sauce

2 cups mayo

2 tbsp salt

2 tbsp pepper

2 tbsp sugar

2 tbsp caynenne

6 tbsp lemon juice

6 tbsp apple cider vinegar

Change the ratios around as much as you want. This is hard to screw up. I personally don't add sugar to mine.

I guess I shouldve added Id prefer a healthy recipe.

My ### ballooned up to 230 this year, from 200.

Luckily Im 6'4", but still...

There have been a ton of recipes listed in the grilling thread and the BGE thread, you should check or post in one of those.

I cook my birds similar to yours except I use Direct Heat on a raise grill, 350 for about an hour.

Is your butterfly method the same thing as Spatchcocking a bird?

spatchcocking... LOL, it has a name? unreal.

yes that's how I do it... and thanks for the thread suggestion
