Your Christmas wish list.... :selfish: (1 Viewer)

In all honesty I would rather give to my family than receive anything because I enjoy watching the joy it brings them.

However my wife insists on a list, so this thread is where we turn greedy and list the stuff we want.

PS4 Pro

Garmin Fenix 5

New Olukais

Apple Pencil

New Fork for my mountain bike

New brakes for my mountain bike

Dale Adams Enterprises The Bone Rough Rider 7031  Mechanic's Creeper https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00005A1KQ/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_2m6.zbYAJHJ9G

Wok

New Chef knife

Thursday and Taft Boot Company look to have some good looking reasonably priced stuff. That's all I can really think of. Maybe a nice bottle of bourbon.

Nothing material. Hoping to have the family together for Christmas. Looking like it will be the first time in 20 years that we won't.

Honestly? Time to chill and relax. Just quiet time at home, other than on Christmas Day, when I want to see family. But, ever since my wife's kids had kids, my vacation time is filled with babysitting. So I rarely end up taking time off other than Christmas Day.

I hear you guys.  I enjoy sitting back, not hearing an email notification, beating Shuke in chess, and watching my kids destroy whatever Santa just brought them.

However, I would like a huge bean bag chair just for me.

House cleaning, someone to organize the garage, quiet time with family, and jameson.

Oh, someone to fix my grandparents trunk.

I'd just like the wife and kids to take the dogs for a weekend away so I can sit home alone in the quiet.  Seriously.

I want a sound bar for the tv in the bedroom...  ummm that’s about it I guess. I could use some new shoes.

This year my request will be the same as previous years. I will ask Santa for my wife to pay attention to me. As with all previous years I will get coal.

My Escalade could really use a primo detailing in and out. Love a professionally cleaned car.

Admirable and unselfish.

Now what do you selfishly want.
I've been thinking about this for a day now and I can't really come up with anything. I'm at the point in my life where stuff just doesn't bring me happiness. I have too much. So, I guess I if I have to wish for something, it would be less stuff.

Yeah, I agree. Plus, I can buy something if I want it. And if I can't afford to buy it, I certainly wouldn't ask for it as  gift. However, family insists on exchanging gifts so I've learned that it's better to ask for a couple things and at least get something I want. My MIL is not so good at choosing gifts for men.

I read the title wrong at first, and now the only thing I can think of is how people would respond if I were to ask for shellfish for Christmas.

Might be worth a shot.

There's got to be something cool out there for us middle aged dudes.

Has a threesome been mentioned yet?  Clean house?  I'm really struggling here.

Dunno.  When I want something, I usually just buy it
I'm the same way, but I can also be cheap, so often don't buy things I know I don't "need".
 Been wanting to transfer my record collection to mp3's now for a couple of years.. yet even though I found one for under $35 I still haven't pulled the trigger as it is a "want", not "need".

Honestly I am the same way.  I don’t really need anything.  I would enjoy getting my son something cool and helping him build it like the lego mindstorm stuff.  I really don’t have any tru “needs”.  There is stuff I would love to have, but all in all I am hesitant to ever give anyone a list because at the end of the day I don’t need it.

I do need a new belt, so there’s that.

Not gonna happen since wife and I are on a pretty tight budget currently, but would love a new big screen TV and a PS4. Some new ski equipment, a bunch of tools I would like, a new water heater for the house.

I'd settle for just a nice bottle of scotch or some comfortable casual shoes to wear when I am out hiking or walking my dogs.

PSA: If you have kids enjoy the limited number of Christmas' you have. Those moments are fleeting. It looks like we are at least a decade from grand kids. I really miss the excitement kids have during Christmas time.
