I mostly listen while I work, so I have lots of hours to fill. Once you get into them, they are pretty addictive.man you guys have time to be listening to this many podcasts. Or am I missing out? Listened to maybe 2 in my life
30 minute commute twice per day, 45 minutes each way to soccer twice per week, plus some random trip to the store... so around 9 hours of car time per week. Some tasks at work can be done while listening to some podcasts. I have work travel about one week per month lately, and that lets me catch up on the occasional podcasts.I like them - no sports talk voice, no need to tie up every topic in 5 minutes before the commercial break, ridiculously few commercials... it's a good pace for me.'Judge Smails said:man you guys have time to be listening to this many podcasts. I dig Norm. And I like his podcast. He's hilarious.Norm Macdonald Podcast is the ish.
I've been using PocketCast for awhile. It's not bad, but they redid the UI recently and I hate the new format. Also some podcasts don't seem to update right away. There's a bunch of little annoying things, like just having to clear certain episodes you don't want to download one by one, things like that.any good suggestions for Android podcast management/playing apps?
I recently got into Radiolab due to so many suggestions here and it is AWESOME! My new favorite podcast.

Great radio show.Or you can download the whole thing here:http://www.stationcaster.com/stations/wtem/rss/?c=580ESPN finally added a Best of the Tony Kornheiser show to the podcast listing.
I can't recommend it highly enough. The Larry King episode was fantastic.I dig Norm. And I like his podcast. He's hilarious.Norm Macdonald Podcast is the ish.
Like sleep ear plug, or ear bud? Also just curious if you've tried using a fan or other form of white noise, I have very mild tinnitus but I've used a fan my whole life and it drowns it out perfectly for me.I have tinnitus and have got to have something going noise-wise or the ringing is unbearable. I would love to listen to this stuff while drifting off to sleep.
Can anyone recommend a particular type of earplug that works well trying to sleep on your side? I am surfing but would like to hear from any of you that have attempted this and if you found anything that works for you.
I have no idea what tinnitus is, but I usually wear one ear bud when falling asleep on my side - the one that's not on the pillow. Not sure if that will help you or not, but it's way more comfortable.I have tinnitus and have got to have something going noise-wise or the ringing is unbearable. Its a ringing in the ear, it may come and go or you could have it forever, it may be hardly noticeable or it could be excruciating.I have no idea what tinnitus is, but I usually wear one ear bud when falling asleep on my side - the one that's not on the pillow. I still use DoggCatcher, and I hear they are working on a cloud sync service as well that would let you keep track of where you are, what you've listened to, and pick up where you left on across devices. No idea where they are at with that (heard they were looking for beta testers, but no invite for me), but the standard app pretty much has everything you might need in a podcast app. I also use Presto which in conjunction with DoggCatcher lets you speed up playback, I usually listen at 2x unless it's a really complicated topic or they are playing music clips (rare for my podcasts).I've been using PocketCast for awhile. I downloaded BeyondPod yesterday out of frustration (it's free) and so far it seems to have everything one would need. Try that out first see if you can get along with that.
I use Podkicker right now. Had a few other apps for podcasts loaded that I hadn't used as much, but what's cool is that I can use a couple of them predicated on the many choices out there on Google Play.I still use DoggCatcher, and I hear they are working on a cloud sync service as well that would let you keep track of where you are, what you've listened to, and pick up where you left on across devices. I listen while running. Hardly ever listen to music when I run.man you guys have time to be listening to this many podcasts. Or am I missing out? Listened to maybe 2 in my life
Just heard an ad for this on the Sigler MVP podcast - thanks for the reminder, I'm subscribing now.Someone mentioned earlier "We're Alive". Pretty Awesome show. Unlike regular audiobooks this is a full on full cast production. Great story, production, music, sound effects and acting. Solid all the way around
One of the better ones in a while. They have a great story and remember all the details. Was terrific.marc maron @marcmaron 23 Jun

StarTalk with Neil deGrasse Tyson.Like others, a couple of my favorites are Radiolab and Freakonomics. Any recommendations for podcasts that are similar - science, stats, sociology, etc..?
I'm happy with this so far... about 14 chapters in - I'm getting a ton of work done in the yard while listening to this.Just heard an ad for this on the Sigler MVP podcast - thanks for the reminder, I'm subscribing now.Someone mentioned earlier "We're Alive".
