My top 20 has

2 DEF

2 RB's

16 QB's

What is kind of shocking is, with so many high scoring QB's you would think a few WR's would have creeped into the top 20.

What is your leagues top 20 by position?

QB: 8 (McNabb, Peyton, Rex, Carr, Vick, Byron, Eli, Chad)

RB: 4 (Westbrook, SJackson, FGore, RJohnson)

WR: 5 (AJohnson, Holt, Coles, SMoss, Colston)

DEF: 3 (Baltimore, Chicago, Atlanta)

That's not really surprising to me. I think if you were to look back at the previous years you would see the same thing. Really it's just an arguement for VBD, lots of QBs score points, you can't say that about RBs or WRs.

QB 16 (2 of which are Free Agents --- Frye and Brunell)

RB 2 (Westbrook and Gore)

WR 0

TE 0

D 2 (Ravens and Bears)

EDITED to note that our league is not PPR, except for TEs. Also, QBs are awarded double points for their rushing yardage (2 pts/10 yards). Which means that Vick is on pace to score about a gazillion points this year (WRs and TEs get double points for rushing yardage, too, while RBs get double yardage points for receiving yardage).

Our scoring is odd. All TD's = 6, pass yds 1/50, rush yds 1/15, rec yds 1/10, rec yds for TE's 1/5 in an attempt to "even" out the scoring. Only 1 RB is on this list. We start 1 at each position, then two RB/WR/TE flex positions.

That's not really surprising to me. I think if you were to look back at the previous years you would see the same thing. Really it's just an arguement for VBD, lots of QBs score points, you can't say that about RBs or WRs.
This guy gets it.That's why kickers, who dominate the top-20 of almost every fantasy league, are chosen in the last 5 rounds andnot the first 5 rounds.

We have FBG standard rules - 1/10, 1/25 for passing yards, 4/pass TD, no PPR.

Apparently, we love QBs, too:

Interesting, except for PPR, we have the same system. Suprising to see that PPR brings things into much more balance. Thanks.

Is there a preferred breakdown in the top 20?

Our league has 4- DEF, 11- QB and 5-RB not LJ-12 team league

2005 totals were 4-DEF, 7-QB, 8-RB, 1-WR

2nd League: 1-DEF, 13-QB, 6-RB inlc LJ 14 team league

2005 totals were 0-DEF, 11-QB, 8-RB and 1-WR

So would the "best" scoring system have equal numbers from each catagory?

9 QB

7 RB

4 WR

0 TE/D/K

Ive looked at this for several years and usually its 1/2 RBs and 1/2 QB's, with 1 or 2 WRs thrown in. The QB/RBs are also well dispersed through the standings 1-20.

We go 1/30 yds passing and 3 pts per touchdown pass, which clearly moves the QB's down a bit.

My league's top 20 (my players in bold)

1. QB Donovan McNabb

2. QB Peyton Manning

3. RB Brian Westbrook

4. WR Andre Johnson

5. QB Rex Grossman

6. WR Torry Holt

7. WR Laveranues Coles

8. QB Charlie Frye

9. QB David Carr

10. RB Frank Gore

11. QB Byron Leftwich

12. QB Jon Kitna

13. QB Michael Vick

14. RB Steven Jackson

15. RB Kevin Jones

16. QB Brett Favre

17. QB Marc Bulger

18. QB Chad Pennington

19. RB Larry Johnson

20. QB Eli Manning

12 QB's

5 RB's

3 WR's

Scoring is 4/passing TD, all other TD's 6 points

1 pt/20 passing yds

1 pt/10 rushing yds

1 pt/10 receiving yds

-1 pt/fumble or interception

1 pt/reception

Ours is a 10 team league, and 19 of the top 20 are on rosters (Frye being the exception). My 4 players in the top 20 are the most of any team, and my 3-1 record is tied for the league lead with 2 other teams. I'm currently in 2nd place in scoring for the season for my starting lineup, and way out in front of everyone else in scoring from my bench. The strong scoring from the bench probably should put me in a good position to swing a trade at some point, if I can work one out that improves my team.

Pretty basic scoring.

1/25 passing 4pts for a td score

1/10 rushing 6pts for a td score

1/10 recieving 6ts for a td score 1pt for reception

1. Donovan McNabb

2. Peyton Manning

3. Brian Westbrook

4. Andre Johnson

5. Rex Grossman

6. Torry Holt

Bear in mind that MANY of the top QB's have not had a bye, while a few of the top RB's have.

No doubt Willie Parker would be on everyone's list if he hadn't had his bye week. Maybe some others I'm not thinking of as well.

Oh wait, Tiki as well.
