Your Mount Rushmore of dramatic TV (1 Viewer)

Ghost Rider

You know the game. Pick four who would be on your Mount Rushmore of dramatic TV acting.

I'll go with:

Bryan Cranston (Walter White)

James Ganfoldini (The Sopranos)

Michael C. Hall (I will cheat and put him up there for both Dexter and Six Feet Under :P )

Larry Hagman (I wasn't a big Dallas fan, but he was like the original TV villain and deserves a spot)

Cranston- BB

James Garner- Rockord Files

Michael Landon- Little House

Daniel J Travanti- Hill Street Blues

House - House

Walter White - Breaking Bad

Boyd Crowder - Justified

Tyrion Lannister - Game Of Thrones

I've got Cranston, so far, and am struggling to decide the other 3. So many good ones.

I'd really like to put someone from The Wire on there, but I just can't single one guy out.

Ok, taking a cue from NorvilleBarnes, above, you have to have Alda on there, so:

Cranston

Alda

2 more to go. Hmm....

Soprano

White

Draper

Not sure yet
Oh oh oh...OMAR COMIN
It's hard to argue against those 4. Maybe Tyrion or Swearengen.
Damn...tyrion is good.
The thing about Tyrion is, unlike Draper, White and Soprano, he doesn't get a lot of screen time. He's best comparable to Omar. One or two scenes can steal the whole episode. Tyrion actualky reminds me a lot of Sterling.

I also really loved Jimmy Darmondy on Boardwalk. There just wasn't enough of him to make the all time list, but he was electric when he was on screen. The rumors of him being a total ### must be true, because he hasn't parlayed that into anything.

Damn good. I would pay good money to see nothing but tyrion, littlefinger, and varys.

Still the best TV line of all time:Shagga: How would you like to die, Tyrion, son of Tywin?

Tyrion Lannister: In my own bed, at the age of 80, with a belly full of wine and a girl's mouth around my ####.

If you don't have Soprano and Draper, I don't think your list counts. It's like a greatest WR list without Rice and Moss.

Interesting topic, and it obviously depends on which shows people have watched. For example, I've still never watched an episode of 24 or Lost, but have obviously heard many good things about both. Just not enough time, but maybe some day.

For "current" shows, I'd have to go with:

Cranston

Hamm

Hall

Spacey

For more "classic" shows, I'd say (and I'm sure I'll forget somebody/something):

Selleck

Alda

Falk

?? .... Hagman is an obvious choice, but I wouldn't say that Dallas was a show that I watched religiously, by any means. Hmmmm.....

Gandolfini and Leary fall somewhere in between (shows that ended within the last decade or so). You could also break it down by decade, and come up with some REALLY good foursomes. I'll have to think about this a bit more. Like I said, I'm probably forgetting some names/shows. And, this is by no means my list of best actors, although it could be close. It's more of a list of iconic actors on great TV shows.

Archie Bunker

Walter White

Hawkeye Pierce

Tony Soprano

I get that All in The Family was a comedy but there was enough dramatic, monumental tv moments that Archie has to be considered.
