New real time YouTube Channel
The Korean War
Indy Niedell’s latest project.
Previously did weekly real time videos on
World War Two for nearly 6 years (still ongoing - last week the Battle of Okinawa concluded after 82 days.)
Prior to that, spent 4 years doing
The Great War (WWI.)
In between those two projects…you guessed it,
Between Two Wars (58 videos.)
Typical weekly videos drop on Saturday mornings; 20-25 minute summary of the week that was in the war they are covering. Referred to as Real Time bc each week they go over what happened over a 7 day period XX years ago.
Because the Korean conflict began on June 25th - in South Korea it’s called the 625 War - they launched the new channel yesterday.
WW2 videos will continue through September. Not sure if the weekly Korean War videos will drop on Saturdays (as was the case for The Great War and World War Two series.)
If you dig around the other channels they have amazing depth.
The Great War had many biography specials, and they dropped a lot of prewar videos that explain why the war started.
The Between Two Wars series (Time Ghost Army) is a treasure trove of historical events 1918-1939, well researched and easy to follow.
The WW2 series had several side projects: Pearl Harbor and the Normandy Landings minute by minute, Spies & Ties, War Against Humanity (Holocaust & other pogroms), Out of the Foxholes (political & world events away from the battlefields), specials on Tanks and Small Arms, et al.
Also, the real time weekly videos have fantastic maps - best I have ever come across. They partner with another YT channel that only does fluid maps with every unit identified and moving as they describe battles.
One of my favorite YouTube content creators!
