I don't think it was intentional. But don't they have anybody over 30 working there that said, "OMG you just designed a holocaust shirt'?Well it's obviously not a Star of David. Unless my Jewish friends have started rounding the edges. And if whoever designed it is young enough they probably didn't really see the connection to the camps.

The pictures I found all had vertical stripes - that looks more French navyWell it's obviously not a Star of David. Unless my Jewish friends have started rounding the edges. And if whoever designed it is young enough they probably didn't really see the connection to the camps.
That's a cool motto. I wonder if you can get that on the back of these striped sheriff shirts?I might have said it was an accident if not for the swastika hand bag a few years ago.
What's next, a shirt that says work will set you free
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that there are actually people under the age of 30 that know about the Holocaust.I don't think it was intentional. But don't they have anybody over 30 working there that said, "OMG you just designed a holocaust shirt'?Well it's obviously not a Star of David. Well sure they know but are they aware of what the flair looked like? The uniforms at Auschwitz? I bet if you showed that shirt to random people on the street most wouldn't make that connection.I'm going to go out on a limb and say that there are actually people under the age of 30 that know about the Holocaust.I don't think it was intentional. Vertical stripes are more slimming. In fairness to the designers, the concentration camp attire had the stripes going vertically. So there's that.
Oh good a dooshy smart ### response. So genius this is what history class would have taught them the uniform in Auschwitz looks like . You may see a slight difference. Please note no flair. Please note the difference in stripes and coloring. You may notice that it is actually fairly different from the shirt offered. Please feel free to make whatever dooshy response makes you feel the smartest.Yes. What the hell are you talking about? I've taught World History. We covered what you keep calling "flair". but, but vertical stripes and slightly rounded corners...Let's see if we can clear this up:
Designer: I just designed this new kids shirt. It is sort of raggity, has washed out blue stripes, and has a big, yellow star on it.
Anybody who isn't a moron: Wait...let me see your sketches.
Designer: Here
Anybody who isn't a moron: Good lord. People are going to look at this and think "concentration camp" or "holocaust". What is the matter with you?

No stars either. In fairness to the designers, the concentration camp attire had the stripes going vertically. So there's that.
Come on.This isn't the first time that Zara has been accused of selling anti-Semitic merchandise. In 2007, Zara was forced to remove a handbag embroidered with Swastika symbols.
