Zero assisted tackles in the Falcons-Lions game (1 Viewer)

NFL stats are recorded by the home team of that stadium. Some home team stat crews award vastly different stats especially for solo and assisted tackles.

Considering that game took place in London I am not sure the NFL set a stat crew from Atlanta or Detroit all the way to London and in a cost saving move left reporting of stats up to a local London score crew.

Total speculation my part but its possible that local crew may not have been completely aware of assisted tackles or the criteria of how to award that stat but good catch and we'll have to look for that with London games going forward.

The Rams home scorekeeper used to do this many times per season.

Laurinaitis went through an entire season's worth of home games one year with 0 assists.

Since an assist is not an official NFL stat, the NFL doesn't care.
that's interesting...I wonder how that works in contract negotations, if it's even a topic of discussion.
