And I wasn't sure if Artie just was saying he would leave at the end of the year, or his contract was up.

Looks like you may be right, but I swear that he said at that time that his contract was up.

Today's New York Post Page Six article insuated that Artie might be leaving Sirius for a slot at Fox, but sources say that Artie's contract expiration coincides with Howard's which goes for at least another four years. If Artie gets a gig with Fox, this would theoretically enhance his exposure (to the benefit of Sirius).

The past week was the 20th anniversary of the Gary Apology Tape. I can remember hearing it first on the radio which was hilarious, but then seeing it on the E! Channel took it to another level. H

Friggin Robin... They did all this preparation over the weekend, pulling of clips and dedicated a big part of the show to him this morning, and Robin didn't even know he died. Proves she does nothing

Artie was ok but the show was at it's best with Jackie Martling.

Eric dyes his hair..

I was tempted to look up the website to check this out, but for Eric and other supporting cast, the picture in my head is usually funnier than the reality. Beetlejuice is the one exception to this.
you really haven't lived until you've seen the Eric webcam.
I've tried and I get pictures of two dogs or what looks to be him in a loop.

jfsc.tv

I think you may be right about that being a loop, but I signed up for stickam (before he left) just to see that.
eric is online now.

Does anyone else find this Joey Buttafuoco, Amy Fisher crap completely uninteresting? Every time the show starts talking about them I change the station and don't come back until the segment is over.

No, but the Ted Kennedy/Chappaquiddick mega-phone tangents about something that happened 40 years ago make me do that.

the dez white that was on with earthquake, was he same dez white that played for the bears?

I guess, because they said he played baseball and football. I didn't hear his name at the time though.
Yes same guy.The ETM phone call was hilarious today. Artie had a couple of classics;Does she know you paint your hair on?You should have one of your friends wheel you to Arizona.

My buddy got me an online Sirius account which is perfect for listening to howard.

Haven't listened in almost 2 years and it seems NOTHING has changed. Same cast of characters with the same issues. I'm a little surprised. I guess it's good because I missed it...

Over the past year or so, I've become less and less of a Howard fan and more and more of a Bubba fan. When I get in the car everyday and it's about between 2 and 6 PM central, my Sirius is on 101 and it ain't leaving.

Anyone check out Eric's "girlfriend" at Kendrassecret.com? She's pretty hot. I absolutely believe she is into Eric.... she's not using him to get free plugs on Howard's show or anthing. :goodposting: Artie had the line of the day yesterday. "Eric... that girl would marry a coyote before she would marry you." :X

BTW, I found another reason to hate Robin. Can't believe I didn't notice this before. She is a habitual sentence-finisher. If someone pauses even 1/1000th of a second when they're talking, good ol' Robin is right there to help out and finish the thought. I love it when she jumps in with what was completely NOT what the person was looking to say.

WOW. Thanks. Just don't call her a pornstar - because she's NOT.

You sure about that? listening to the replay again, they said Dez White was from Houston. The WR was from Florida. He also was signed by the Vikings for a time last year, so I would think it unlikely that he has given up on football, but I guess it's possible.

Also, the guy who they said played for the Pats and Orioles was Keivi Baker. Here is a thread about it on another board.

I can't be the only one who doesn't give two craps about Danny Bonaduce.

He's horrible. And worse, he's on there pimping Tahiti Village.
While I'm on a rant, how many times in a row is Howard gonna pull the "So Eric.... WHAT do you want to be called again" shtick?

WE GET IT... MOVE ALONG.

And Robin still talks too much.

Agreed. I was hoping ETM would just hang up on him this morning.

Robin was in interrupting heaven today. More than usually it felt like.

I agreed with the sentiment that Howard was over-playing the "eric the..." bit, but clearly he knew better because the reaction he got out of Eric today with it was awesome.

Didn't hear it, what happened?
He FREAKED out telling Howard to stop playing it because a lot of people are believing that he's really saying it. No doubt people just pulling his chain too to get him going. just heard Artie on the replay..."shut up and blow the banana" :hophead:

I am lazy and want a quick answer, so bear with me:

Anyone know how much the XM conversion kits costs (they always used to talk about them)? Started looking for new cars and some dealers are a pain in the ### with the XM/Sirius thing.

If you're looking at getting a GM car, this is what I had installed when I bought my Caddy: https://www.crutchfield.com/App/Product/Ite...amp;i=607SIRGM1.

Works great with the factory GM in-dash receiver. Only problem - you don't get the song title/performer info, and it still says "XM1" when you switch to satellite band. Other than that, works fine.

I'll admit, today it was gold. I just got annoyed the day he did it literally 20-25 times in a row. Even suck-up Artie didn't laugh.

I never tire of them driving that little midget batty.

Poor Artie. Sounds like he and Dana were working on getting back together, and then that idiot Vinny accidentally emailed all the nights plans with the penthouse chicks to Dana.

Vinnie sent dana an email stating that artie would be staying in a room with 3 chics was all i heard
Because Artie doesn't have e-mail, Vinnie had Dana's e-mail in his Blackberry under Artie's contact info, from when they were dating. When Vinnie sent the info in e-mail yesterday he used the Artie contact info and assumed he had Teddy's e-mail for Artie.Teddy never got the info, so Vinnie re-sent it to the e-mail Teddy gave him. Then Vinnie checkeed to see what info he had for Artie, and where he sent it the first time, and thought it was Artie's sister's e-mail, not realizing it was Dana.

First off, let me say that Howard Stern is better than 98% of the morning guys out there, but after listening to the History of Howard Stern, I've really come to appreciate his earlier work. The guy has morphed from a rebel into this sterile and grumpy old man. Nothing edgy about him anymore, I guess he leaves all of that to his cast of characters (Artie, Sal, Richard, etc).

However, maybe the tank just ran dry for the guy. The guy has been working about 20 hours per week (prior to Sirius) on air to make us laugh in addition to all the hours he spends outside of the studio trying to put together a good show. As a guy who's working to get into radio myself, I can appreciate all the hard work he did prior to him making it big. You may not realize it, but there's a TON of prepwork you have to do to put on a good show.

Still, I've become more of a Bubba fan than a Howard fan at this point.

I agree that Howard has lost a lot of his 'edge'. He has about 10 vacation weeks a year it seems. Plus, he sold us a bill of goods as far as the commercials. In his last few months on terrestrial radio, he talked about being virtually commercial free once he went to satellite. He started out witha short break every hour, now there's a ten minute commercial, followed by old bits replayed, followed by a song. The non-live content is basically the same as it was before. Also, when he first started, he said that he would occasionally take Fridays off, He worked a few Fridays in teh beginning and probably hasn't worked one in teh last 18 months.I'm still entertained by the show when he does decide to work, so I continue to listen. Plus, I can't say I blame the guy for being powerful enough to make a deal like he did with Sirius, but that doesn't keep me from being annoyed when he's airing repeats all the time. One thing that drives me absolutely nuts is teh way he rushes through the news because he wants to get off the air. Many times, Artie, Fred, and Robin are making great and funny comments on a news story, and Howard comes in with his "Ok, what else Robin?". It's hard enjoying lisening to something when the host is giving a clear impression that he's done trying to be entertaining and wants to get out of there. Next time you listen to the news (which is at teh end of his broadcast) pay attention to how many times he says, "Ok, what else Robin".

 (Except for the previous poster's Bubba comment).Listening to some of the Master Tape Theaters reminds me why the news was always my favorite part of the show. Howard was almost always into it, not trying to rush out the door. He still has his moments, but you are right, the "What else Robin?" drives me nuts too. And even though it has been about 7 or 8 years now, I still miss Jackie quite a bit.
