***Official Pearl Jam Thread*** (4 Viewers)

Got to chat some PJ with Steve Gleason, Saints special teams cult hero for

on him before the Super Bowl. He grew up around Seattle and met McCready somehow and played Tamborene at PJ20 during Rockin in the Free World. We have a mutual friend, so I knew he was a die hard...the ALS has really gotten to him, he's in a motorized wheelchair and it was sort of difficult to hear some of what he was saying, but he genuinely lit up when I mentioned Pearl Jam. He told me a few stories of how awesome Mike was and that the entire band sent him an autographed PJ20 book for his birthday.

Anyone recommend a few shows currently in the Goods section? Maybe a standout S. American show from last year?

I have my free download to use still and it expires in the next month.

Just had a live chat with Kelly Curtis on pj.com....I just did a copy/paste from the forums, but looks like new album plus a bunch of shows in 2013

KellyCurtis: touring in 13… lots of us shows promiseno second montanaads health seems to be great… spent a good amount of time in pain… all good now<KellyCurtis> no bootleg plan for pj 20 yet<KellyCurtis> no plans for ed boots at this time… but we will try and get a live show out there at some point<KellyCurtis> ticketing.. we did lots of upgrades and they did not work. we decided to increase the window for requesting rickets and equalize<KellyCurtis> access regardless of internet speed or connection. essentially, we went old school<KellyCurtis> we are still working out bugs for new site.. so stay patient<KellyCurtis> seniority is still in place for reserved seated pj shows<KellyCurtis> regarding tours… the band averages 36 shows a year over last ten years…. so it takes awhile to get everywhere<KellyCurtis> increase in festival.. is only because they are not working much this year.. especially after the pj 20 year.<KellyCurtis> ten club 2011 single is out digitally and vinyl is in production<KellyCurtis> all the women that work here are pushing for more female merch.. believe me…<KellyCurtis> no idea how many us dates for 2013 yet more then this year for sure… if you go look at history… you will get idea!<KellyCurtis> no plans to open for bruce<KellyCurtis> i hope new album is out next year<<KellyCurtis> filming undercover boss as we speak<KellyCurtis> so really no more dates 2012.. at least that i know about<KellyCurtis> lots of new stuff on siriusxm planned for coming future<KellyCurtis> missoula fan club seats… some on floor and some in seats… small venu<KellyCurtis> but band does not really have dna to function that way<KellyCurtis> as far as planning tours… i would like nothing more then to know what the year would look like.. we try..<KellyCurtis> we are working on getting out a blue ray deluxe package sometime soon<KellyCurtis> all live shows will premier on siriusxm in the foreseeable future… not live but first<KellyCurtis> as far as stage construction… absolutely … alway room for improvement<KellyCurtis> have not set schedule for made in america yet… will know soon<KellyCurtis> ed refund tickets we hope to get those in ten club member hands<KellyCurtis> no chance for greece in euro cup <KellyCurtis> band members will be doing same thing from time to time… meaning chat<<KellyCurtis> moving to room two<KellyCurtis> no videos planned of tour? the pj20 thing pretty much took the steam out of us for a while<KellyCurtis> eddie is feeling much better.. in fact feeling great<KellyCurtis> not accepting any accounting positions right now.. but made me laugh<KellyCurtis> touring is hard for this band.. we average 36 shows a year.. over ten years.. takes a while to get everywhere<KellyCurtis> we do small venues almost every new record…...<KellyCurtis> just to clear on former cfo…. he stole from curtis management.. not so much band.. so yes i fired him<KellyCurtis> seven nights at paramount .. would be fun.. now we only have a few weeks left to tour<KellyCurtis> seven nights at paramount .. would be fun.. now we only have a few weeks left to tour<KellyCurtis> i heard sawyer got kicked off.. i thought we were friends .. what did he do<KellyCurtis> i liked the pj beer<KellyCurtis> everynight… like you do.. then you would get same show…. this is what makes them special<KellyCurtis> as far as amount of shows… if the band played many more then they do… then you would not get a unique show<KellyCurtis> can't comment on band comments<KellyCurtis> i think they are just figuring it out like you all are right now<KellyCurtis> we all had reservations about atlanta…<KellyCurtis> we have a dog in office named bently<KellyCurtis> this is my opinion not bands.. .but after a two plus hour show.. they are exhausted… so a meet and greet… you want more<KellyCurtis> my daughter manages the "young evils"<KellyCurtis> just did canada… america would be mad at you<KellyCurtis> pj fans scare me sometimes.. but most of time… killer.<<<KellyCurtis> pete rose in.. five years<KellyCurtis> i meant usa in 2013<KellyCurtis> but usea in 2013<<KellyCurtis> no missoula 2.. sorry<KellyCurtis> yea.. glen is still opening for ed in november… check out his play in nyc.. killer<c> KellyCurtis: cool!<<KellyCurtis> we love joesph arthur.. stay tuned<<KellyCurtis> xmas will never be on time<KellyCurtis> i love camden…. miss spectrum> there will be a madseason… something.. but layne is dead.. so more like a special reissuenks, man....that sucks.<KellyCurtis> just did canada… america would be mad at you<KellyCurtis> we love joesph arthur.. stay tuned<KellyCurtis> yea.. glen is still opening for ed in november… check out his play in nyc.. killer<KellyCurtis> i like dave grohl.. nicest guy in rock<KellyCurtis> there is a plan on the 2012 bootlegs.. stay tuned<KellyCurtis> david lee for sure<KellyCurtis> the ####erous person in rock is mike love…. hate him.. love brian<KellyCurtis> heat<KellyCurtis> thanks all

HMFS, the Amsterdam 2 setlist:

Set List:

01. Wash

02. Last Exit

03. Animal

04. State Of Love And Trust

Ed says that he ran into someone who told him the Dutch he spoke during the first night was wonderful. So he knows that there is at least one liar in Amsterdam. He says he isn't going to speak any Dutch tonight and the crowd boos. He also notes someone vomited in the building last night so the Ziggo Dome is an official rock and roll building. And for anyone who doesn't understand my English (says something in Dutch).

05. Severed Hand

06. Corduroy

07. I Got ####

(Ed says that there is "someone here that is part of the family. She is going from 11 to 12. Her name is Lilly.")

08. Daughter/WMA

09. Nothing As It Seems

(Chad Smith of The Red Hot Chili Peppers fills in for Stone's regular tech during the guitar change)

10. Got Some

11. Dissident

12. Once

(Ed comments that he admires everyone who ride bikes in Amsterdam. He wishes that back in the states people would trade guns for bikes. He says, "It seems that Arizona and Florida are in an arms race with each other.")

14. Deep

15. The Fixer w/ Ray Cameron on percussion

16. Bugs (Ed plays this on electric guitar instead of accordion)

17. Better Man/Save It For Later-(Charley, Cox, Morton, Steele, Wakeling)

Encore Break 1

(Ed thanks the audience for the great energy over the last two nights. He mentions that they had some help with tonight's unusual set list and they don't usually play this next song at this time)

18. Release

(Ed-"I think this is one for the serious collector")

20. Alone

21. Footsteps

27. Yellow Ledbetter/Little Wing-(Hendrix)

Sick setlist. Only 3rd time ever that Wash/Release were played at the same show according to twitter. Charter 10 Club member curated the setlist. Awesome. Must listen boot.

Are they doing boots of these shows? I don't see them on their page.

edit: OOPS I see in the chat write up they have "plans" for '12 booters. Whatever that means.

nothing yet. Looks like 10 club has been pulling stuff off of youtube. EV has a strict no recording policy for these shows, so 10club are like nazis taking them down. I'm sure something will surface with a bit of time

Getting extremely pumped for Music Midtown. Have not seen them since the Spectrum almost 3 years ago and suffered through the 10C site catastrophes trying to buy PJ20 trip packages. Still stings that I wasn't there. I know this show will be a festival setlist and not a true show, but it's long overdue and I can't friggin wait! Anyone else going?

sitting in airport now.

Just freaking great shows. You really have to look at both nights like one show in my opinion. I'm beat right now and i don't have the energy to write a bunch now....but just awesome vibe the whole weekend.
Made it back alive. Last night's show was unreal. Great meeting up with you guys for the tailgate. Good times. :banned: Now it's back to reality.

Why is there no kent hrbeck pulling Gant off first base video on you tube?
Because that never happened!!
:lmao: Just to set the scene for the others...Sunday afternoon tailgate scene was myself, TU, BeTheMatch, his buddy and BullDozer. AcerFC was hanging for a few but then went in early to catch some of the openers.

BTM, his buddy and BullDozier are all from Minnesota, so I mentioned that I was a Braves fan and I thought that 1991 World Series was the best one I've ever seen. Subject of Hrbek pulling Gant off of first came up....and by pulling Gant off of first, I mean basically suplexing Gant. And they all mentioned how when anyone in Minnesota brought it up everyone acts as if it never happens.

A few beers later, this guy with a Twins hat walks by us...I say "what about Hrbek pulling Gant off 1st base"...not missing a stride, the dude just keeps walking...says "never happened"...and keeps going on his way.

I was freaking dying.

One of the many stories we traded during the tailgate...really a good time :banned:

I'll go more in to the shows tomorrow

I really do find it hilarious that I can't find a clip of it on youtube. Only picspics
It was almost like we planted him or something. You can't make it up.

GB the new auto-renew feature on 10c. Been through a few member numbers. :bag: And they don't get any better.

All we need now are shows. :sadbanana:

Anyone going this weekend. My friends are. My wife gave me the OK for tonight but I have so much stuff going on

Turns out I may have hit the jackpot on a Cali work trip right before Bridge School. Id head from Fresno to the Mtn View area on Friday. Waiting for them to announce the lineups before completely deciding. Wish it was Fri-Sat too but maybe I'll only need to go Sat...

Bummed about missing the show on Sunday. Bum knee and standing in festival conditions all day just not a good marriage. So been scouring youtube for vids. This is a great one of PJ and Neil Young playing RITFW in Toronto last September.

MISSOULA- Folks who haven't grabbed up tickets for September's Pearl Jam show in Missoula better be ready to shell out some cash.

Tickets for the September 30 concert sold out in 15 minutes on Friday morning with buyers and sellers now turning to the Internet.

A pair of VIP tickets are currently selling on Ebay for $3,000, while other tickets are on the market for well over $1,000. Meanwhile, fans on the hunt are also posting on the popular classifieds website Craigslist to get their tickets.

Some lucky fans were able to get their tickets at the University of Montana box office on Friday morning, but many started waiting in line before 5 a.m.

"This is something I've always wanted to do, just camp out for some tickets for a really big show. Who knows the next time they'll be through," Pearl Jam fan Andrew Crompton told us.

Box office officials say 15 percent of the total house seats were made available to the box offices across Missoula. Tickets went on sale at 10 a.m. with each person who waited in line being allowed to buy four tickets.

But it seems only those lucky ones, who made it to the window in the first 15 minutes, will watch the performance in September which will be Pearl Jam's only non-festival show in 2012.

Montana Senator Jon Tester's office sent out a news release, saying that "fans of Pearl Jam and Montana farmer Jon Tester still have a chance to win tickets at jontester.com".

Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament is a longtime friend of Tester's and also hails from Big Sandy.

Awesome :thumbup:By next album release, we should be cracking the top 50 of the longest threads in the FFA :bowtie:

Turns out I may have hit the jackpot on a Cali work trip right before Bridge School. Id head from Fresno to the Mtn View area on Friday. Waiting for them to announce the lineups before completely deciding. Wish it was Fri-Sat too but maybe I'll only need to go Sat...
Pretty MEH to me. You'd have to pay me to see GnR. Still time to add Ed I guess, but looks like my jackpot is just going to be Cali in October.Neil Young & Crazy HorseJack WhiteGuns N' RosesThe Flaming LipsSarah McLachlanFoster the PeopleLucinda WilliamsSteve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangersk.d. lang and the Siss Boom BangGary Clark Jr.

They've added Ray LaMontagne and I'm guessing that's it. Weird no PJ or at least Vedder, I don't get it. :shrug:I still think the lineup is decent actually, but I too will probably pass on this one. Such a great event though...

Anyone into Gaslight Anthem? They're playing a few slots before PJ at Deluna Fest, and I'm curious where to start. I've heard good things.

ETA: Pretty good cover of SOLAT
