lucked into a 2 hr craps roll at Casino Royal on Saturday. Pretty insane. :D
:kicksrock:what were you able to walk away with?
+3KLil latina next to me walked with +5KAll started with basic $3 passline/max odds (20x) bets. Once the vortex of that roll got going, started pressing numbers. Ended up leaving around 1K on the table when the 7 hit. Had I the balls to press with the Latina, i woulda been up at her level.Unreal. Never before, most likely never again.Towards the end, the pitboss's supervisor was sitting in the boxman's spot barking out orders on how to pay each bet. Payouts, because of the size and number, were taking FOREVER. They were close to having to bring in more chips, the area where the chips were was filled with the most disgusting lint/dirt combo you can imagine. Hadn't seen the light of day in a very long time. Our half of the table got paid at least 15-17K. No clue on other half. Keep in mind, low limits (Casino Royale) and no highrollers.

Ok Bachelor Party in 3 weeks. Low budget. Which strip club do I take the boys too? Was leaning to S.Rhino because they offer free limo ride and no cover if I read their website correctly.

Please advise.

Every single club in town will give you a free ride there. And if you call ahead, I am sure you can get no cover at any club as well. Pluys, any club is 10 minutes drive from just about any hotel, so really: what is a 2 mile limo drive worth to you?If you go to Sapphires or Rhino, the top two places in town, you will be small fish in a big pond (on a low budget). The women there will ll be pushing the back room, looking for hourly payments. My advice is to hit a smaller club, with cheaper drinks, and girls that are happy to get 20 bucks for a lapdance. Check out a place called Seamless. Round the corner from the Orleans, and turns into an afterhours at 4:00. They literally shut down the stage at 4:00, and put a DJ up there. the kind of place where dancers hang out and get wasted with you afterwards.

Unbelievable. You're right that you'll likely never see that again but most craps players will never see it once.

Good info. Does your suggestion stand if I tell you we are there on weekdays and not a weekend?

I started re-reading this thread from the start. Anyone been there recently to know if the below are still valid ideas?

The Mac King Comedy Magic afternoon show at Harrah’s is the best-value entertainment option in town. Collect a voucher from the coupon booth in the Carnaval Court outside, readily available around show time, then go up to the third floor showroom. You’ll pay a total of $18.76 for two, which includes a drink. You get 70 minutes of laughs, tricks, and even a shock or two along the way. This is a must-see entry on any Las Vegas itinerary. The Wynn has a 1-3 NL game that I love. You can sit down with 200 bucks and turn it into 500-600 with little risk as long as you have lots of patience

Rhino is the best.
There was a lot of hustle at Rhino last time I was there, about half the girls wouldn't do a regular dance, it was $100 (3 songs) or nothing, given Rhino or Sapphire I'd go Sapphire.

Nice. My buddy, after a losing night of poker ended up @ Harrahs rolling dice. By the time I met up with him, around 2am, he was down about $400. I jumped in and lost about $200 after rolling 3 hard 8's in a row. I went back to the room thinking he was done for the night as well. He came back 2 hours later up $1200. Said that everything he pressed won during about a 45 minute roll, the dealers all made some big bucks too. Luckily for him, the table was not crowded, so he was able to maximize his rolling.Jersey, when did you get to Vegas?

I had a seminar there Wed-Fri. Played golf Wed morn (goodtimes). The big craps roll was Saturday afternoon after the Belmont ran. Left Sunday afternoon. Weather was a little off, but overall good times. When did you guys leave?

OK, guys. Wife floored me with a "we should go to Vegas" e-mail yesterday.

This won't be my normal guy trip so I'm looking for recommendations on a hotel. Has to be on the Strip. I'd like to impress her a bit without too severely damaging my craps bankroll. This will likely be a midweek trip in the next couple of months.

Wynn, Bellagio, TheHotel, Venetian?

I'm lost here. We don't do anything above Bally's with the boys.

I've stayed at the Wynn and The Venetian with my wife. Can't go wrong with either. At the Venetian we ended up with an almost free upgrade that ended up with concierge, open bar from 5-8 every night and a continental breakfast.I made up in alcohol ten fold :own3d:

Wynn is top of the line imo, but the Venetian offers a great value. Great rooms and casino at a better price. Check the Palazzo for prices too.

Thanks for the thoughts guys.

I'll check out the Venetian.

Oddly (at least in my perception), Bellagio seems to have comparatively cheaper rates. Hmmp.

Nothing wrong with Bellagio but try and get a renovated tower room. Last time I stayed there the room was a little worn and I heard the tower rooms are much better.

I forget what tower we got - it was the new one I think 5 years ago. They screwed up our reservation, so that helped. But the shops and dining area is really nice, plus they have the cheesy gandula ride, we passed on that but it's inside or outside

And very good mexican food at Taqueria Canonita. It's a must every time we go and you can watch the people in the gondolas.

Considering this advice my list is down to:Seamless, DejaVu, Eden, OG, Penthouse or Sapphire

Palazzo. My W is not a vegas type. She loved it, still comments today.ETA: if it matters, the Palazzo/Venetian and Wynn are the least smoky hotels/casinos imo (as a former smoker).

Bali Hai, next to Mandalay Highly recommended. The front nine was torture (I hadn't played in four years, played a lot growing up and in H.S.). Back nine was much better.Course was in great shape, we had first T-time so we were all alone out there for the most part. Some scenic holes too.

we got there about 11am vegas time on Wednesday. Left out first thing Saturday morning. Some of the best sites I saw were the people coming back to the hotel as we were getting a cab.

Anyone been to Mario Batali's places? Did you like them? Which ones would you recommend?
My wife and I went to B&B Ristorante the last time we were in Vegas. The dinner was good but you have to be a more adventurous eater rather than expecting traditional Italian. It is more of a country/peasant menu that uses some more of the interesting parts of the animals they serve (beef cheek, lamb's brain, sweetbreads, etc.). I like to think that I am somewhat of an adventurous eater and my wife certainly is so we actually ordered all of the above. Come on, it's not like lamb's brain is on every menu, why not, huh?It wasn't the best meal I have ever had but it was certainly interesting and memorable. I would suggest it as long as you're not expecting spaghetti or lasagna.

I second whomever mentioned "Seamless" as the strip club to check out. No, it's not as "balla" as the Rhino, but more money gets you further and when we last went, it was me, my gf, and two buddies and we had an absolute blast. I'd highly recommend it.

Tell me more about "seamless"Also - I'm going to be out there just with the guys in two weeks. What kind of regular club can we actually get into because i know how they are about "only taking groups with girls, or groups of girls, etc", and how do we get into it?I'm staying at TI, so I'm good with any club in that area, although i'm not a big fan of the actual club that is at TI

$$$$$I'm staying at the Mandalay on Saturday night. Wish I had time to squeeze in a round Sunday AM before we leave for Mesquite

when you say 2 weeks are you talking 6/21-24? If so then I'll need to be wary of all +1 if that is the case.

I still need to make it to Mesquite. Wolf Creek looks great. I loved Bali Hai. Desert Pines and Rhodes Ranch are OK too.

My wife has played craps for fun before and likes it. Ill be finding her one of those intro craps books for the plane ride. Where is the best place for the beginner craps players where things will be fun, social, and lower stakes?

Yea, I think thats the one were gonna do for dinner. Shes a huge Batali's fan and will try ENOTECA SAN MARCO for lunch and skip the steakhouse.

Casino Royale, if you can take the smoke and grunge

Bill's, or downtown at Binion's

Anywhere downtown except the Nugget, Circus Cirucs, Excalibur, Harrah's. Any of the cheaper places with $5 tables are pretty laid back, usually.

Royale and Bill's are good suggestions. On the other end of the strip, Hooters had a $5 craps table as late as 11pm on the weekends and it's just a bunch of drunks having fun at the table.
