I watched the grand opening of Circa on VSIN Tuesday night, awesome.
FF League I run is celebrating our 20th year next year and we've decided to have the draft next year in Vegas to celebrate.
So I'm looking for recommendations from FBGs for a hotel suite (or more likely an executive suite) that's big enough to hold a draft. Some considerations:
1. We have a huge economic disparity amongst the group, one guy will be flying his own plane to Vegas while some others will likely have to dip into their savings to make this trip work.
2. I started looking into AirBnB/VRBOs off the Strip and I just don't see the point. We're in Vegas, so minimal sleep, no down time, and need quick access to casinos, sports books, cabanas by the pool, etc.
3. I've stayed at one of the nicer suites at Wynn Encore, which would be perfect, but I'm really aiming for a more mid-level hotel (New York New York, Ballys, Trop, etc.) so everyone can possibly afford to stay there (see #1) but I'm not having any luck finding that.
Any and all advice is appreciated!
@Buttonhook this is your answer. Make the private jet guys hook it up. Have your draft in a cabana at the pool while watching college football. It's the new Vegas Mecca.I watched the grand opening of Circa on VSIN Tuesday night, awesome.
Vdara might work. 2 br hospitality suite is good for the draft. Splitting it 4-5 ways is doable if needed and standard rooms can be had for less than most of the higher end places. Plus still very compable for anyone with any kind of mlife play. Don't sweat the lack of casino. You're in the Aria casino faster than you can get to the mgm casino from any room in the mgm.FF League I run is celebrating our 20th year next year and we've decided to have the draft next year in Vegas to celebrate.

If you need cheaper than that, 2 br suites at The Signature. It's a hike at the end of the night, and that sucks, but on a budget the cost: quality ratio is off the charts for a large group needing to host something.Vdara might work. 2 br hospitality suite is good for the draft. Me too. Seems crazy to go before summer at least.I miss Vegas. Badly. Heard Absinthe opened up. Great memories. Probably be another year for me.
Me three. Miss it in the worst way. I have a stressful job and though I love visiting new places, we always hit Vegas 1-2 times a year because it's such a great place to let loose and unwind. Really needing that right now...Me too. Seems crazy to go before summer at least.
A few of us did back in our single days, but we probably lost our hosts' business cards a long time ago...Does anyone have status with a casino? I would talk to a casino host.
Kind of what I was thinking, Vdara was definitely the closest thing I found for a reasonable price for the amount of open suite space, and can't beat the location at City Center.I've done drafts with 10-15 people in both. You want Vdara's location, but you will shell out a couple of bucks for it.
But both are doable without breaking the bank.
Tremendous offers right now, but they will evaporate in the spring once the vaccine is widespread. I was offered $129 for 30th/31st at TI, would have easily been $1K last year.I have an offer for a free stay plus a free TV that can be up to 84 inches based on how much I play. I need a vaccine to go get one of these crazy deals.
That weekend they are offering me luxury purses to play. If you have diamond, you should be able to get that offer. You also will have access to the casino hosts. I would call and ask. With caesars rewards matching my hotel status and giving me diamond level, all their hotels rooms are basically free for the next few months with the exception of Nobu. Staying at Harrah’s 1/15-18, 0 resort fees makes it even sweeter
No, but it’s where I am staying the next time I’m in VegasAnyone been to Circa yet?
52 in Vegas today but the pool is heated. Its also open 365 days. No, but it’s where I am staying the next time I’m in Vegas
I’m supposed to go in 2 weeks, not thinking it’s going to happen anymoreThinking about going end of March. Am I crazy?
Depends what you want to do.Thinking about going end of March. Am I crazy?
This is one of my primary activities when I’m out there.Depends what you want to do.
Sit at the tables and go to bars? Yeah i think you are nuts.
Go enjoy beautiful weather, place sports wagers, walk around, lounge at pool, eat outside, no not crazy.
I would add there is so much awesome hiking around, but i am definitely in the minority there.
It has completely changed Vegas for us. I had actually told my wife I didnt want to go on vegas vacations anymore. Then had a bachelor party to go to. Didnt want to go, but was one of my best friends. Another friend of mine asked if I wanted to fly out early and go to Zion. Told me it was like an hour away. So I agreed. This is one of my primary activities when I’m out there.

Weather even for those up north is not conducive to pools. I think many are actually closed during the winter months. It gets cold in Vegas.parasaurolophus said:Depends what you want to do.

I was considering it, but heading out to Portland that weekend to visit my friends you met over a year ago (wow).Starting to look at the first weekend in April.
I got a piece of paper that says the dates of my shots, doesn’t stop me from wearing a mask or social distancing but makes me more comfortable going placesThat's totally different and awesome
Did they give you anything you can use to show you were vaccinated? Or is it honor system?
The end of march is often in the 80's.Weather even for those up north is not conducive to pools. I think many are actually closed during the winter months. It gets cold in Vegas.
I've been out in October a couple of times and it is always marginal at the pools. Though, perfect for Red Rock Canyon. The end of march is often in the 80's.
Eta: just looked at some historicals 70's is more accurate, not 80's
Figured this was based on historicals, but I have no idea how they modeled that.
Circa pools are heated to over 100 degrees year round.I've been out in October a couple of times and it is always marginal at the pools. Though, perfect for Red Rock Canyon.
Saw that, definitely puts it up the list. If I'm allowed back.Circa pools are heated to over 100 degrees year round.
Did I miss a story? Do tell, do tell.Saw that, definitely puts it up the list. If I'm allowed back.
Buddy has been at Cosmo this weekend, he's been several times during all this.
100% agree. When I have to go out there for conferences (2-4x/year) I tend to get there at least a day early to get a good hike in. It's fantastic. This is one of my primary activities when I’m out there.
Here is an example of pool schedules with details. Not sure how updatedThe end of march is often in the 80's.

Plastic stalls is kind of how i describe the venetian sportsbook in non covid times.Just got back on Sunday from spending new years Eve at the Venetian.
Masks are required pretty much 100% of the time that you are out of your room, even on the strip.
Made the tables unplayable, I had zero interest in posting up masked up in a plastic stalls. But the private dining and sportsbook was pretty much the same experience that I'm accustomed to.
Mandated 25% capacity makes opening the doors difficult to pencil out.Are any shows open or does anyone know what a schedule looks like for this?
