Vegas (3 Viewers)

@Icon or anyone who has been there.

Rhino looks like a great spot. Now I have not gone nuts at a strip club in a good decade. But I am looking to get crazy (and stay under 1K) and also treat my two band mates to a great evening.

I am totally illiterate when it comes to bottle packages and such. Is that the way to go to have a truly great evening? Or just get the Limo to pick us up and pick out what girls we want. Guidance would be appreciated.

If I do a bottle package what's in it for the girls as opposed to just paying for private dances etc. Or screw all this and just get some hookers LOL.
I would definitely use the limo/bus to pick you up... call in advance and ensure it's free cover and specify you'd like a table for your group. Shouldn't be an issue.

On their website right now it looks like their single bottle is $325 and double bottle is $625... depending on the beverage you choose it will be 750ml or 1L. Be sure to be clear on that. This should be arranged beforehand (looks like may be online only? not sure).

FYI: 15 min lap dance is $100. Longer sessions get much more pricey. Tell your guys to watch out for hustles... as with any strip club there are girls looking to take advantage of drunk tourists. I can't speak to the mileage or anything as I've never gotten a dance there. We were there for 1 hour and the bachelor had just gotten back from the dance I bought him when the power went out and we got escorted out (without our 3 bottles)
Cool. I will call them and get clarity on all of it. As far as getting hustled by strippers. Been there and done that in my 20's...many wise stripper club lessons learned. I usually pick one girl I really like and pay her well for a nice hour to 1 1/2 hours of strip club pleasure.
My notebook says you are from Miami, in which case, you know you can have 3 times the fun at a fraction of the cost at a place like Tootsies.
I can and your right......we are (my buddies and I) reconsidering the whole going "to a Vegas Strip club" thing. We know how to have strip club fun down here for far less at Tootsies or Scarlets. It has been so damn long since I have indulged at a strip club (not going for Bachelor party purposes) that the idea was tossed around. But it is expensive in Vegas....crazy expensive as I am finding out from inquiring around.
It's really not horrible if you don't do VIP and bottle service. Just go in as regular guys and have fun. I find it's usually more fun that way anyway.
It's definitely a matter of where you live. We have tremendous strip clubs down here so it is never on my list when I go to Vegas.

Mon Ami is my favorite resturaunt in Vegas. That is all.
Mine too.

Maybe not the best food. Maybe not the best ambiance. Maybe not the best value.

But as a package deal, it's fantastic... and it's the only place I make sure to visit every time I'm there.
Well in that case, it's on my list for my next visit
I highly recommend the French toast at Mon Ami. It comes with blueberries and a cool whip type cream (not actual cool whip). So good. Had it on Two different trips and fantastic both times.

I can vouch for Hash Hash too. Good food there as well with very generous portions. My only complaint about them is that you'll occasionally experience longer lines compared to other places.

Fly to Niagara Falls. You will get 20% more return on your dollar. You can gamble at the 2 decent Casinos there, and hit maybe the most epic strip club, The Sundowner.

But Rush is not playing at Niagara Falls this Saturday night.

Oh well.

I think the word you are looking for is whipped cream
Not exactly whipped cream...at least not the kind you buy at the grocery store....much better than that.
Real whipped cream is pretty complicated to make. Pretty sure it only appears at Michelin starred places.

Uhh it's not complicated at all, we're not talking hollandaise sauce here. It's literally whipped heavy cream. If you want to sweeten it you can add sugar and vanilla. Problem is it doesn't keep long.

no kidding, i walk by that place all the time and never once thought to check it out. will have to now
Same here. Actually seems like you are in France for a second when you walk past it.

$1k doesn't get you very far with regards to a cabana in Vegas... at least at the better places. Looking at 2-5k Min spend at most places. Daybeds are less... $750-2k depending on venue/talent.

Get one at the Flamingo's GO Pool. Its like $350 (or it was a couple years ago). It won't be the top end "daylife" of Vegas, but there are still plenty of fun ladies there. Plus, beer pong poolside.

Standard Cabana = Spend ~$350-500 to rent cabana, then you have to buy your booze (the $350 doesn't go toward booze).

Daylife Cabana = Get cabana free with agreement to purchase a pre-set amount of booze

If it's 2-3 folks who won't be drinking like crazy... the Standard cabana is not a bad deal.

If you've got a decent sized group who are going to be drinking heavily, and or want a significantly better pool of females to go after... the Daylife Cabanas are the way to go.

Paying big bucks for shade pisses me off though

I think about how many people in the world live in severe poverty let alone those just struggling to make ends meet. And then there is Las Vegas.

anyone been to Life is Beautiful fest? Does it make downtown just ridiculous to navigate or what?
Haven't been, but what I've heard is that it makes East Fremont a cluster. The part under the canopy will be more crowded, but not fenced off like the area around El Cortez. If you're going, stay at ElCo, it's the official host hotel and has packages.

Do you think restaurants that charge 15 dollars for french toast are giving you whipped cream from a can?

...and then there are the people struggling to make ends meet who spend thousands in Vegas anyway

vegas costs are officially out of control. calling it. $14 smoothies at Palazzo. $25 cab ride from Palazzo to the other end of the strip with no traffic. $33 "daily resort fees". $8 bottles of water at mandalay starbucks. the list goes on, no end in sight as there will always be enough people willing to pay it
that's why downtown is making a comeback

Forgive as this is likely a Honda, but will be interesting to see the over the top TopGolf they are building at MGM Grand. Opens Spring 2016.

While the average Topgolf costs $18 million to build, May says Topgolf Las Vegas is expected to cost more than $50 million. It’ll have 102 hitting bays among the first three levels, and the fourth level, which will offer an unobstructed view of the Las Vegas Strip, will have private VIP hitting bays, private cabanas and swimming pools. Even more, a music venue built in the heart of Topgolf Las Vegas will solidify its status as a concert venue, which is unlike any Topgolf we’ve seen.

I am all over that. Nice

my main concern is getting stuck in a hotel that is dirty, noisy, has poor service or any combination of the above. I don't need the Four Seasons but i do need a clean, quiet room.

Any recommendations for where to stay or where to avoid downtown?
Golden Nugget is probably what you're looking for.

Agreed. That's the nicest place downtown and it's in a great location.

Huge fire at Cosmopolitan / Marquee / Marquee Day Club right now....
Under control, very little damage... well, considering what it looked like for a minute there.
Yah it looked worse than it was but it still burned out the whole corner with the VIP cabanas it looks like. From the early billowing smoke pics a buddy (VIP host at liquid) posted on FB, it looked like all of Cosmo was going down.

Going to a truly exotic location with that money is the way to go. :lmao: blowing that kind of money for a cabana in Vegas.

While I agree with the principle, I'm interested in the link to the place where 12 guys go to a truly exotic location for $3-5k. ;)

Link above shows fire pics from Cosmo pool, pretty impressive looking considering minimal damage to hotel/pool and minor injuries (mainly smoke inhalation)

Ellis Island Casino and Brewery ...

Located off the strip, behind Balleys. $5 table games, IPAs, dealers dressed as celebrities, and karaoke on Saturday. Had a ton of fun there.

http://ellisislandcasino.com
My Vegas expert friend took us there a couple years ago. You could get a steak, potato, soup or salad, veggies and a beer for $8.95(prime rib $11.95). Not crap either, pretty good food. It was off the menu and not sure if it's still there, but it was an incredible value.

Anyone have an opinion on Palomino? 4 guy bachelor party Labor Day weekend. Probably be there 2 or 3 hours. Website lists a package of 750ml bottle + 2 pitchers + table for 349. Worth it?

Would like to get the guest of honor 1/2 hour VIP room. Internet says $350. Is that realistic?

Don't do VIP. It's almost never worth it. You'd have much more fun blowing $350 on dances for him on the main floor.

Thinking of trying a pool (or club) crawl. Has anyone ever tried this? I realize this is not VIP style bottle service at the best places. But to an old married dude that just wants a peak at the scene and a few drinks this seems like a pretty fun idea.

Theres even a groupon for $40 lol.

I believe all their brews are $2.00 a pint as well.

My breakfast at Ellis Island for the above mentioned $8.95 price

PSA: I moved to Vegas in the past year and will be offering proxy services for the big football contests like the Supercontest at the Westgate and the Friday Football Showdown at Golden Nugget. So if any of you FBGs are coming to Vegas in the next month and looking to sign up and need a fellow FBG as a proxy shoot me a PM. I 'll get back to anyone who inquires with my website info, details, etc. I charge a flat fee and don't ask for a share of your winnings like some of the other proxies out here.

I was flipping through the tv last night and stumbled upon Con Air (gb this movie), it's amazing how different the strip looks these days compared to 1997. Jesus, 97 doesn't feel like that long ago :sadbanana:

Heading to Vegas now. Going to hang with my son at Def Con. Should be interesting since he just turned 21 and doesn't have much interest in gambling or drinking. I'm going to do my best to instill just a little corruption.

Problem with this place is the smoke is so thick. Beer is good, but we couldn't handle being there for more than 30 minutes
