How many people are in these things?I didn't finish worse than 150th in any of the games... is that something to be proud of, or am I near the bottom?
I played 6 rosters this week. My rankings were 33 / 60 / 166 / 198 / 1 / 50I know last week i had a overall of 965 in one game.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO TURF WAR PLAYERS

Our results are unofficial until we get the final final scoring updates from the league and run all data through our scoring engine. Typically our results are final as of 5 pm ET on Tuedays.

You'll notice that the results (and winners list) of the "ALL" and "NIGHT" contests have just been updated to reflect the position challenge question results from last nights game between the Titans and the Saints.

Going forward we'll make it clearer that the results are "unofficial" until 5 pm ET on Tuesdays.

I got messed up with the late Maroney scratch...after rosters were locked of course :lmao:

I'm sure some others did too...I put Maroney in 2 or my 3 entries thinking he would still probably start.

Learned my lesson...maybe.

:) I took 1st and 2nd Subleagues :football:

I guess i play again next week.

btw

(if anyone cares)

what are your names over there?

mine be Carnycode

This is just another reason to miss all family outings (her side) on Sunday

I'm loving the TurfWars site - I'm cleaning house in both of the Fantasy Leagues I'm in with some friends, so this is giving me a weekly challenge to do. I did decent on the All this week, great on the Early games... and then fell on my face for the Late games - both of my entries for the Late had Westbrook, I was busy sending the Brewers off for another year at Miller Park, instead of verifying WB was/wasn't playing. C'est la vie!

I've told all of my fantasy football friends and everyone that's a football fan at work. This is an absolutely awesome idea, and any questions I submitted via the site had a great response time - get the word out to everyone you know so it's here for years to come!

You're gonna want to check out our latest video on the home page - our first installment of Turf Talk. Sarah gives a recap of last week's contest and gives some props to the winners.

More good stuff to come!

I noticed you in 'da $ too
Sweet Jesus, watching the Tennessee D score last week, which was the deal sealer for me in the Night games, was one of the most exciting football moments I've had in a long, long time. I was literally doing laps around my living room. This week, coming home from one heck of a disappointing end to the Brewers season (thanks, Ned), it was one heck of a pick me up to see the results of the Early game.I think that's part of what makes TurfWar awesome... each week is a brand new competition. Whether your full season fantasy teams are donkeys or kicking tail, everyone starts at zero each week!

I have to concur with all those raving about the game.

I thought I was a little schizophrenic BEFORE when I would have to cheer against the Chiefs when one of the guys on my fantasy roster would play them.

Now I have to deal with that on top of cheering for/against different players I may have on both my Turfwar roster/regular fantasy roster and guys I playing against in my main league, since the guys on the team I actually drafted this year aren't worth putting in a Turfwar lineup each week.

One thing - and maybe I missed it in some of the pages earlier in this thread that I skipped over - and I'll shoot an email out to customer service too: Everytime I go to purchase more credits, I put in all my billing information, fill in ALL the areas needing to be filled in, and hit "Checkout" only to have it give me "xxxxx....can't be blank." messages in red at the top for ALL of the fields - which I filled in completely.

Anyone else having this error?

I replied to the email earlier, but figure I'll post here in case anyone's having similar problems.I've tried on three home computers and one at work. Vista Ultimate 64, Vista Home Premium, XP Home, and XP Professional (work). All have IE 7. I confirmed that it gives the same error on both Vista machines, with version 7.0.6000.16512 on both - the XP Home has version 7.0.5730.11. I'm not sure on the sub-version at work, as the IT guys keep them updated. Thanks for looking into this - at least I have the second place 2 credits to work with for the week if it takes a little bit to figure out what's wrong. I'll just have to make it a homerun entry. :goodposting:

Oh you know some one is going to make a team name like "itouchmyself" if she is going to do turftalk each week lol

btw its 24 7  not 2 4 7

I'm really hoping I finish near the top this week, if only to hear her explain how "Pu Pu Platter floated to the top after a big performance by...."

The name is in honor of my main fantasy roster that initially included Leinart, SJax, Green, Harrison, and Evans, which have basically resulted in a big pile of "Pu Pu" in the standings.

I was wondering if paypal payouts are possible to the winners?
Unfortunately not at this time.
Ok just checking. I just made a boo boo with a payment plan for a video game. Basically reactivated a game account before I realized I had insufficent funds in my bank account lol. Opps Which for some reason prompted me to think about paypal payouts.
The last I heard, Paypal is considering fantasy sports payouts as gambling and as such will not allow their services to be used if there is any reference to fantasy sports on the check. A buddy of mine (the commish) last year even recieved a number of phone calls from Paypal double checking to make sure that his fantasy football payouts were not fantasy sports related and of course he lied to Paypal so that the checks would be processed and mailed. It kinda pisses me off that Paypal wants to play internet cops by ruling fantasy sports the same as offshore sports book gambling. Paypal sucks.

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for their feedback and enthusiasm - We think we have something really special and we really appreciate you guys giving us a chance.

Turf War contests for NFL week #5 are now open at turfwar.com

The site is a great idea, I just used my free credits for this week and will likely buy more. I wish I would have seen that all the contests except the 'all games' one were 1 credit, I would have used my credits more wisely. One point of feedback: when looking to choose players, it wouldn't sort them by fantasy points. It looked like that field was sortable, but it just switched names around instead of by points. Not a huge deal, but having to scroll through 500 RB's to find a guy takes some time. Also, it would help if it indicated whether a team was at home or on the road. Didn't look like that info was available.

For FBG's- I'm sure people want to keep their rosters to themselves, but what strategy do you use for this? I ended up with 3 Colts on my team, and I'm thinking that might not be the best idea. To win, it seems like all of your players would need to really go nuts, and it's hard for multiple players on the same team to do that.

Gl all....

just start the same players that you have on your regular fantasy team so that it is easy to keep up with...

Gl all....
Hey 3 hour lunch, what browser are you using. To our knowledge only Safari users aren't able to sort by statistics - we're working on it.

The site is a great idea, I just used my free credits for this week and will likely buy more. Windows XP. It actually does work now, but clicking on fantasy points sorts it by name, clicking on rushing yards sorts it by fantasy points, etc. Really weird.
