oh my jesus, this Brooks guy is the most boring person in the history of television. Somebody put an end to this NOW. Awful. WHY was that segment so LONG? I've had Baptist Church sermons that seemed shorter than this. Root canals that hurt less. Audits that were less painful.

And that hair, man..my god, it looks like he has his hand on a gizmo from the Sharper Image.
I was with you until the hair part. His hair is the business.

Not when he is weeping with his head down into a gust of wind. He looks like a composer who's tirelessly at the end of a wild set.

Good looking dude, but might be the most insufferable TV personality ever presented to a general audience.

Hey Brooks, spit it out man! Good grief that was a boring hour+. I couldn't FF because my wife was so into it, and she's quite the badger when she is disturbed.

After he heard Des say she was picking him for sure and loved him, I thought he was going to say he was just kidding and that he loved her too.

I wonder what Chris and Drew thought watching this episode. Drew may go cry in his secret garden but Chris may just realize he dodged a bullet. She doesn't want to go to Seattle, she just said that because she had already decided to pick Brooks.

So, Reality Steve was wrong then? I only saw the last 1/2 hour, which was basically just Dez torture porn. Anything else happen?

That guy totally goes back. Hey, you know that feeling when you just broke a girl's heart and she's repeatedly insulting you and you don't want to leave because you want to console her? Yeah, you actually have feelings for her. Go back and win the Bachelorette. Idiot.

When you don't really dig a woman and she's crying and insulting you, you leave. You can't wait to get out of there.

If I was one of the other 2 dudes it would suck to find out that you were going through all of this without a chance in hell of not being hurt or getting laid.

:goodposting:

Brooks is so the winner. He will go back. Chris better watch out that a crushed Drew turns to the gay side and goes after him.

I think he still might come back. She basically told Brooks that he was who she chose and she chose a long time ago. She was conflicted by having to go on all the dates with the other guys. She then said in a solo interview that the other two guys are great but she loved Brooks.

If she ends up with one of the other guys, they wouldn't have let any of those words on the air because it would basically make her look like she's settling for 2nd best. We've seen Bachelors/Bachelorettes be sad when people leave like this, but we haven't seen them completely blow off the remainder of the guys.

Brooks comes back. Mark it down brohans.

That's what I said to my wife last night too...Brooks comes back, she picks him, they DON'T get engaged. I give them 2 months after the finale before they're broken up.

His little feelings rant did irreparable harm to their "relationship." There's no going back to the way things were. It's hard enough to do that on these shows anyway, much less when this kind of thing happens.

Totally disagree. If he comes back, those two are getting married. Probably for a long time.

If Brooks does come back and she accepts him, then she's foolish. You think he has second thoughts now? Wait til they get together and the dust settles. Those unsure feelings will come back and it will get worse. If he comes back she should realize he's only doing it because of how things went down and how she felt. Red flag imo.

I'm not so sure. You have to realize that towards the end of the show, they spend a lot of time apart from each other with absolutely no contact and the knowledge that she's spending that time with the other dude and his family. I actually think Brooks' reactions are pretty normal for that situation. I think more time together is what he needs.

Rumor has it, Brooks finally snapped while performing cunnalingus on Dez, and she asked him `how does chris taste?"

...and the knowledge that she's had two other guys on fantasy suite dates. That'll mess with your head.

I don't know.. he said even during the dates on the show when everyone was in the house he didn't miss her like he thought he should when he wasn't on a date with her. Or maybe I heard that wrong. Seems like he just doesn't feel the same about her as she does about him.

Think so too. If he comes back it's his heat of the moment emotions and the distance talking. He'll just flake again later.

I was thinking anybody but Drew - reminds me of that goody two shoes pilot from a few years back. If Brooks comes back he is an idiot - you never come back because you feel badly for hurting someone. Chris is the right choice anyway. Sounds like she'll walk away with nobody and go home a spinster..

I love his wavy hair. He's HOT and I would be happy to console him. :D

He will come back get engaged and they will eventually break up like most of the prior bachelor/ette couples have in the past. Wait until he meets Dez's bro. That alone should do it.

TWO SEGMENTS ON THIS? GO AWAY! DIE BROOKS, DIE!!!!!
Blame must be shared here. She acted like a crazy psycho crazy psycho in the whole thing. Surprisingly IMO--thought she'd be cooler than that.
Oh, you are totally right, but this guy could have just said what he needed to say and walked out without letter her tremble into a ball of mess for what seemed like an eternity. I know that guy is hot and all, but jesus christ....there is NOTHING entertaining or interesting about him. And he's from Utah. You ever met a normal person from Utah? Could you spend your life with a guy who drinks Kool Aid and believes in the power of Sacred Under Garments?

YOU GUYS KNOW THIS IS RIGGED AND FAKE RIGHT????

It is? Fairly decent actors.

I'm on board with the theory that he will be back, BUT...

... do we know for sure who the next Bachelor is going to be? Last night, when Chris was talking to Brooks, he made a point of asking whether it was just that Brooks wasn't ready to commit. They made it clear that he knows what love is, he's ready to commit, it's just not Des. I got kind of nervous they were prepping us for him to be the Bachelor, which would be the worst show ever.

(although casting him might allow me to break the addiction I have to this franchise once and for all, which would be a good thing)

I don't understand Brooks. Seems like he does love her, but something external is holding him back. Is he a Mormon? That's the only thing that would make sense. Those people are strict about marrying in the faith.

Really laborious to watch all the crying. Good grief, say your goodbyes and get in the limo.

Was interesting to see a "true" edit of this show, with Des saying flat out Brooks is the one the whole time. And he was the frontrunner since their first date. I would bet 95% of the time the bachelor/ette feels the same and the other schmucks are strung along for the sake of fake suspense at the end. I wonder how the gay guy and the fence post felt watching this episode, having laid it all out on the line on those last dates when Des had already eliminated them from consideration. Pretty deceitful of her to go along with it so convincingly. But I guess that's the gig they all sign up for.

What's the over/under on the number of poons/peens the bachelor(ette) gets on each season?

there's gotta be hella banging going on

My favorite was a guy named Charlie I believe. Maybe 7-8 years ago? He was kind of dumb and just enjoyed making out with all the hot girls. My wife read somewhere that he nailed 5 of the women. She hated him. This show has something for the whole family.

Especially enjoyed when Brooks was blubbering like a baby and a big gob of spit flew out of his mouth on one of his good cries.

Hey listen, if you're going to commit to 5 months of marriage with a woman, you should know how juicy her cooter hole is.

good for him

Exactly. I liked him because he was the only one I could relate to navigating through that absurd process and treated it like the joke it is.

It's why I wanted to piss on Sean's face. He was such a Tuna about the whole process. Ive never seen someone take something so asinine, so seriously

It's also why James lives a better live than 99% of any "hopeful" ever... He was as real as it gets. I bet he went home, started a cycle of Anadrol, bought 4 grams of coke, and did rails off skanky Chicago girls' labias all night.

James is my boy

Is James the meathead from this season who got busted for saying he could be the next bachelor?

You're not posting in this thread for the right reasons.

wasn't there something on MSN a few weeks ago that said Des is engaged....but they didn't say to who since the show was still going on....?

50/50 he comes back.....Brooks is definatley a Mormon.....I can see why the show doesn't want to bring it up, but it is a big deal....I can also see why Des (who has been on her own since 18) was ok with fitting into that type of family environment even with it's quirky things....Des has serious family issues, not just with her brother that fondled her but probably mom/dad/everybody.....perv brother will have a field day with a guy that says he is not "into" his sister and then comes back and changes his mind.....if some other dude is going to tap that ### besides him, he better have been "in love" with her since the beginning instead of just a "playa" like Sean trying to come back and get some makeup/let's cry and stoink booty....with what Des has probably been through, getting a naked cleansing from the Mormon pastor prior to the wedding will be a piece of cake....

really curious to know who she is engaged to....it can't be one of the other two...no way you could go through life being the consolation prize (at least on national TV).....

guess it has to be Brooks coming back and changing his mind at some point.....next episode is probably Des breaking the news to the gay guy and lefty who couldn't get out of single A cause all the Dominican's found his poem book and peed on him in the shower every day to make him quit....

not sure if her reuinon with Brooks will be in the next episode since it may have happened after the final episode, but they will end the show on a happy note with an update on her and Brooks (or whoever she is currently engaged to if it's not him).....

bad enough to lose out to another guy, but these last two are going to be dumped for "nobody".
It's a good illustration how the bachelorettes operate on this show as compared to the bachelors. Des said Brooks was the frontrunner from their first date and as a result she didn't fully open herself up for any of the other guys. I remember that blonde girl who picked the Puerto Rican a few seasons ago said the exact same thing. She knew she was picking him from early on.Bachelors on the other hand are probably sincere when they say each and every week that it's a nearly impossible decision who to get rid of. Once it's narrowed down to the hottest ones and you've had some laughs together, made out and gotten a boner but were unable to complete the date properly, uh, I dunno, I guess I could someday marry any of them? Probably each one retakes the lead after every date. Then the dude agonizes over the final 2 or 3 and still picks the wrong one more often than not.

He's a Mormon? Yet another thing religion has ruined.
Yep. Just googled it. Because I'm a female now apparently from watching this crap.

The Mormon thing is a major factor IMO. Only explanation that makes sense.

Another noteworthy thing about that breakup scene...Des says I love you and he looks taken aback...."Why didn't you tell me before?!". Clearly this new information that he was definitely the one she was picking changes things in his mind. Which is why he's then even more devastated afterwards. I'll bet part of him wished he could have changed his mind and gotten on that catamaran with her. So yeah, he's coming back.
