Interesting turn of events last night. All of a sudden Jax looks like the unreasonable guy who doesn't bother to communicate...and Zobelle gets the SAMCRO internal conflict he's been trying so hard for basically by accident. Clearly the masturbation guy is going to be the one to 'break' the true story here...but will it be enough to bring Jax back? And will he be accepted back? Big bridge he's about to burn...

it is rapidly becoming clear to me that this is a man's soap opera... on the order of Passions or one of the other second tier soap shows.

yet i can't stop watching :D

You knew what was going to happen with Gemma telling Jax/Clay about the attack...but it was still awesome. The shots of what the other people in the club were doing while this was going on were great. Tigg and Half-Sack stoned were hysterical.

Next week...KILL...THEM...ALL!! Surely the writers will throw us a bone and let Weston die a horrible death. I'd bet on Zobelle getting away clean though...maybe by throwing his daughter into harm's way or something.

I have to admit this show has grown on me fast. Last night was some of the best television I've seen in awhile. Peggy Bundy has some decent acting chops and the scenes with Jax and the step-dad leader are very very well done from both of them.

I actually didn't put it together at first until Clay showed up at the house with her. THen I was like How did I not see this coming  Very good scene at the end.

If I am writer, I would go all medieval next week. Go after Zoebel's daughter. Use her to get Zoebel. Have Tig and the dude who got stabbed do what was done to Gemma, in front of him. When done, kill her, in front of him. That should leave him in sufficient for a brief period until Jax and Clay come in and finish him. Whatever they do with Rollins is fine, he make for a good future arch.

Did this show really make me this sick. My wife thought it was twisted but okay.

Hour and a half, and still leaving me wanting more. This is the best show on television right now. I think it may be better than the Shield in its prime; at least as good.

My prediction (which isn't much of a stretch) is that
I am many things, and "smarter then the average bear" is one of them.I'd say, "this is about to get good!" but it's already good. When the promos for this show started last year I thought it looked stupid. Now I think it's the best hour of TV (along with Mad Men) since "The West Wing" went off the air.

Looking forward to Jax and Co. bringing the pain on Rollins.

Since I'm so good at predictions...

mytagid = Math.floor( Math.random() * 100 );document.write("

The ATF lady is going to get close to catching Jimmy and end up dead, via the AB. Rollins ends up in a lot of pain, Sobele ends up on the run from the ATF and Samcro. But Samcro has a chip - they find/take the daughter. Big morality play at the end - mothers, children, wives - wherein Clay and Jax are left to decide whether to kill the daughter (who had a role in the attack on Peg) or not. Season ends, we're left waiting til next fall.

Anyone know the reason it was an hour and a half last night?
So they could fit in 40 minutes of commercials. I dvr'ed it and watched it later but it was still annoying ... 6 minutes of action, 5 minutes of commercials, repeat.
That's my method too. DVR it Tuesday and watch it Friday night skipping all the commercials.BTW, glad to see Opie getting it on with the porn chick, but a Jax/ATF lady/Tara shower scene would be unbeatable. :fishy:

"The outlaw had mercy."

Another great episode. I love how Sutter continues to develop each individual character.

Preview for next week looks pretty bad ### too. Gang war?

:goodposting: Potential gang war reminded me of that book/movie The Outsiders: Greasers v. Socs

lol

I actually watched it both times last night, it was so good. Opie's character is freakin' superb. It's getting about time to start tying up all these loose ends and letting SAMCRO and Zobel's crew go head to head.

Got to agree on last nights episode, simply superb. I love it when they don't go the obvious route, especially with Tigg

Looks like SAMCRO is gathering the blacks and chinese as allies vs LOAN/Mayans. I don't expect the blowout to start next week - I'd expect we'll see some cautious alliances being hashed out.Chibs has got himself into a real bad spot also. That's going to take some developing.

It's also time to stop showing men's asses and give us all a gander at Tara's...

There are only 2 episodes left...so things are going to move quickly.

Yes, I agree it was a great episode. Also, I have to say it again but I just shocked that Peggy Bundy has the acting chops she has. She might be the best character on the show. Not one single scene with her in it seems forced or out of context. Her emotions are perfect in every moment. She deserves an award for the show.

Opie is getting better and better and I have to admit that I admire the writing that makes him merciful instead of vengful. It seems to be able to draw the story line better from this point then the other.

The only thing that mildly irritated me, if anything, is that this seemed to be an episode where just about every principal was thrown by the wayside. You could be an informant, no problem. You could have killed the leader, no problem. You killed my wife, no problem. You slept with te bosses wife, no problem. You make a deal with color, no problem. I get the theme and again admire it, but it just opens so many soap opera problems that a clear cut black and white response to some of this stuff wouldn't allow for. But, again, it's a mild problem with me.

Best episode of the season. Really awesome.

I saw that happening as well but had a different take: I think that the episode did a great job showing the humanity of these guys who are all supposed to be bad a's. From the beginning where Clay comes to the house and finally let's his guard down to get Jax back in, to Opie's mercy, to Tigg coming clean with everyone, it all made sense. At the end, when Clay forgave Opie's dad, it came full circle and while it would never be admitted by him, I think Clay was showing that he didn't have all the answers and couldn't keep going along like a merciless dictator. But all of this REALLY comes together when you take the scene of Opie and Jax. For all this mercy and forgiveness going on, the rift between Clay and Jax has only been suspended. Jax is recruiting allies - starting with having Opie read his Dad's writings. They are still going to change the club away from Clay, it will simply have to wait."The outlaw had mercy" was absolutely awesome. That's when it flipped that for all of their illegal activity, the real moral failings of the people lie outside of the club. Awesome show. No idea if this is on the radar for Emmy's and stuff, but I'm liking this a lot more then Mad Men now. Peg Bundy and Opie are phenomenal.

This show has definitely been added to my must watch list. Cant' wait for the you bring your 10 best against ours.

I was thinking something similar to this. Not the exact scenario but what you mentioned with Rollins.

I thought the music is this episode was perfect. Great set up episode for next week.

For any "The Shield" fans.....there was a brief Lem sighting in last nights episode.

Sort of interesting....my guess is they are using him to be part of a big story line next week for the finale or next season perhaps.

I thought Tara was looking tasty when she was laying the smackdown to the admin lady.I can't wait to see how this plays out with ZObel and "Rollins" ending up in prison instead of dead. He'll show up again I think.

I caught that too. Weird seeing him in leather instead of a bullet-proof vest holding a shotgun.

The focus next week is going to be on the Mayans and the SOA, since that's who Zobel ran to for protection. Nice to see the season come full circle.

It was good to see Tara with backbone rather than a victim or upset. Her character was starting to get wearing as she just constantly seemed so 'weak'.

Well, you can't expect a woman to go from work-a-day doctor to gangster's wife overnight. And she's still learning--this was portrayed well in the coffee scene.
