Tiger Woods (5 Viewers)

Tiger Woods had the most money wagered on him at the Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook
Like printing money for these casinos.

I honestly believe Tiger has a resurgence in him that's coming at some point but get real people. All things considered it might be the worst bet on the board right now when you factor the odds you're getting.

Most picked golfer this week in my pool :loco:

It's like grown adults still believing in Santa Claus. I can't wait til he wakes up and makes things exciting again, but I'll be damned if I'm going to waste any money gambling on him before that time comes.

Yeah, there is a bit of a difference between masters level demand and just enough demand to sell out. That's why I said "at a fever pitch."
I wish they showed the entire tournament -- it's a top-3 sporting event for me -- but if they don't want to it's their right not to. I actually don't think it has to do anything with demand or money though.

They just like being exclusive (which is a better word to use than "rich" IMO). Everything they say and do (women, blacks, patrons, no front-9, 4-minutes of commercials, etc) is about making sure it's exclusive. As in the opposite of "inclusive".

But not everyone has to agree or like it or pretend what they're doing is anything other than what it is.

A bunch of rich, white southern men excluding other people. It resonates with a lot of people because there's some meta-history tied in there. But, again -- it's a private club. They can do what they want to do.
What's worse is those dang rich white guys serving cheap beer and food on the course. Obviously trying to degrade the health of the common man.

Brilliant strategy by the Golf Channel to show a bunch of 130-year-old former golfers sitting around chatting instead of showing..... The Masters.

Man I don't know if I should keep checking this thread and see how he's doing or wait and watch on dvr tonight.

Don't complain about it. Six different people here will throw a hissy fit about how you're not entitled to watch the golf (whether you said you are or not) and tell you that you should just be thankful for what you do get to watch.

Other people can complain about it.

The Masters has always had a less is more strategy. They show more than most tournaments now though. They've never been about the money either. If they wanted to they could show the whole thing and have more commercials than the NFL but they don't. 2 minutes of commercials per hour. Drinks and sandwiches on the course cost 2 or 3 bucks. They could charge 20 bucks a sandwich or 12 bucks a beers if they wanted to be like every other sporting event.
