Tiger Woods (1 Viewer)

He’s really not objectively.   Depends how you define the “hunt”.   He will need 64 to have a chance.   As will all the guys who played well and are -5.

Outside chance with an all time round to have a chance.  Just me, maybe.  But that’s not in the “hunt” for me.  I look at the guys in front of him and one of them gets to -12   Spief might go deeper, if he hits it off the tee like hes done the last two days.

anyway, Tiger needs 65 at worst for an outside shot.  Expect him to hit more drivers and go for it   But, in his dominant prime he did t come back and steal majors

Going to be awesome tv though   Especially if he can manage -3 through the first 6.   The ratings will explode.    Cant wait

All this is doing is delaying Otis paying off his bet for another bunch of years.

Otis:  "don't forget when Tiger got a top 10 in the 2018 british open.  I know that was 15 years ago but he's still only 57 and needs just 4 titles to tie the gold bear from the pac 10"
I have the bet with Otis and am 100% good with letting this baby play out.  He is competitive and has great results in his first year back and apperas to be playing pain free.   It is an amazing story of preserverence and return to decent pga form.   Add it is Tiger Woods.  The GOAT.   The bet is rightly parked for now, notwithstanding him winning 1-2 more majors (not 5, lol) would be a remarkable and awesome achievement.

But as the ultimate winner of the bet, it is still in here play and super fun.

The Bet shtick aside, Tiger can take a big step tomorrow without winning. No more excuses though...he’s needs to show he can finish.
Finish?  Too far back.  He could shoot a bogey free 66, which would be deadly, and that won’t get it done.

But if he does a nd jumps into third?  Huge deal and will almost assuredly plat onto a CP ( and captain) on the Ryder Cup team.

No wa he isn’t on that team now.

Has Tiger ever shot 65 before?

Big tee shot here at six... sort of shot he's had trouble with since he started playing well.

ETA:  got away with one.
