Had a movie fest this weekend and here are some of the best ones:

After Fall, Winter- very good, not your typical hollywood movie but done very well

Nice Guy Johnny- kind of a typical story line but I thought they did a real good job with it

No Looking Back- a good real life type romantic drama that was my type of movie

A few other movies worth a watch:

Get the Gringo

Albatross

Like Crazy

So excited red dwarf is on there now. I watched the first two seasons again just over the weekend. They never get old. Also queued up Hyperdrive. I've seen a couple episodes and thought it was pretty funny.

TrollHunter. Surpisingly good when you think the movie is about hunting Trolls.
I agree. Trollhunter was pretty good.http://movies.netflix.com/WiMovie/70170065?strkid=1190345339_1_0&trkid=222336&movieid=70170065
Is this Swedish? I buddy of mine keeps recommending this to me and I just  . But he swears it's good.
It is Norwegian and has English subtitles. It has a 82% rating at Rotten Tomatoes based on 99 reviews.

Welp, I know what I'll be doing tonight.

Just signed up. Was really bummed they dont have Justified. But i plan on finally watching Breaking Bad
This is a big reason wife and I sprung for the DVDs. We don't have cable and Justified, Breaking Bad (initially), Mad Men (initially), Fringe, Men of a Certain Age...lots of stuff on DVD only. Totally worth it in my opinion to couple streaming w/ DVD plan.

I recently signed up for a free month to be able to watch House of Cards. I found a movie called Jolene with Jessica Chastain where she goes nude quite a lot. I forwarded the movie to the good parts and now want it gone from my history. Now that freaking movie is in my history and I would rather not have it there forever. WTF, how does Netflix not allow me to remove this crappy tittyfest from my history?

I know Justified had been streaming previously. Itll probably be back on when another season is available or another show quits streaming or something.
Thinking of giving Parenthood a shot after some recent articles on Grantland calling it underratted. I also recently watched and liked Friday Night Lights and Parenthood is done by the same showrunner.

Parenthood is very good. That was the only network show I watched until I got hooked on Revenge last year (havent watched any of season 2 yet). If youre gonna watch Parenthood though, you gotta know what youre getting into. Its called Parenthood for a reason. I havent seen the last season or so but watched the first 2.Parenthood is not even close to my wheelhouse, but I thought it was really good so to me that says something. If I wanna watch mob movies typically yet some family drama is intriguing me, theyre doin something right. Its worth the time, but you gotta stick with it because it is based on the characters. Which is a surprise for a network show.

The Netflix TV show - House of Cards - is great. I watched all 13 episodes in a row yesterday :bag:

Awkward/embarrassing. Maybe just watch porn next time.

If Chastain was in it, of course man. But what year are we in that we cant delete simple stuff like this?

Just shows you that Google isnt always your friend since i found that with a simple search and the thing was one big lie. Read all the comments on that link.

Fair enough. :shrug:I started to try and figure it out then realized I couldn't care less....

Why do you want it removed from your Netflix history?

You should definitely check it out. The FNL DNA is very prevalent. Also like FNL, they mismarketed it early on. Early previews made it seem like it had more comedy than it does. It's certainly no comedy, though it has plenty of humorous moments. Also similar, it's a show that men and women can both love. Only Parenthood doesn't have the football element to help men justify watching it. All the men I know that end up watching it love it though, just like FNL. They send some of old FNL actors over to Parenthood. It's got Lyla, Vince Howard (though he'll always be Wallace), and Luke Cafferty. Anyway, it's great. Just don't expect Monica Potter to be Connie Britton and you'll be okay. Potter's great in her own way, but she's not Britton.

If, for some reason, you are dumb enough to get the urge to check out "The Giant Mechanical Man", I'd suggest you resist that temptation.I'm a sucker for Jenna Fischer and do like Chris Messina, but that wasn't enough to save that terrible movie. It actually could've been a decent movie, but they threw Topher Grace in there and had him playing one of the worst characters in cinema history. There other things about it that are terrible, but that was the main insurmountable obstacle.

Wanted to allow my siblings to use my account but have dont need them seeing everything I watched

I have a question for those of you who recommended (or even watched) Pontypool. WTF? I'm not intimately familiar with the zombie apocalypse genre, so maybe I missed something:

What was the deal with the black and white sections of the movie (and especially the section at the end of the credits with the 2 main characters)? Was this their new reality/view of the world or something? Also, when did the radio host become a zombie? Maybe I'm looking for a deeper meaning/explanation that just isn't there :shrugs:

Butter - A former butter carving champion is forced to give up the crown and his crazy wife decides she must take up the art to save their family's status as butter carving champions. Stars Jennifer Garner, Ty Burrell, Rob Corddry, Hugh Jackman and Alicia Silverstone to name a few. Not a great movie but definitely has it's moments usually starring the stripper (Olivia Wilde) who steals a lot of her scenes.

Invisible No More. It's an investigative documentary about the epidemic of rape (both women and men) within the U.S. military.

I am sure someone has covered this but In Bruges is fantastic and streaming. 8.5/10Ok someone sway me one way or the other. My favorite type series are The Wire, Breaking Bad, Always Sunny, Life and Times of Tim, Curb, Sopranos, FNL, Deadwood, Arrested Dev, Walking Dead, Sarah Silverman Show, The League, Workaholics, Archer, Louie, Game of Thrones. Sorry for the novel, just wanted to include all I have seen so you don't recommend something I have watched. If that helps..... should I move on to Downtown Abbey? Believe the hype? Sherlock, Damages, or In Betweeners? Other recommendations based on my likes above? ,

Lillyhammer - this is the new Netflix show staring Steven Van Zandt. I watched the first episode. It was interesting enough that I will watch 1 or 2 more and see how it goes.
I've gotten through 5 of the 8. It's decent, but not earthshattering.
Just started watching this and actually enjoying it. It's like a Norwegian Fargo.
Oh wow I found this terrible. Felt very rushed and casting seemed so odd.

from the ones listed I would watch Sherlock. I am starting to watch that now, but many friends of mine have been bugging me for a while to watch that show saying how awesome it is. I think you would enjoy Boardwalk Empire

I gave BE a few episodes and found it ok and then discovered Breaking Bad. I take it I didn't give it long enough? Added In Betweeners, House of Cards, Primers, Damages, and DA. Going to give Boardwalk a full season I think, then Sherlock. Thanks. Any other recommendations appreciated.Damn Boardwalk no longer streaming. Saw Rose Byrne on Damages. Giving this a go.

I will say Boardwalk season 1 was just decent nothing crazy good, but season 2 was really good and season 3 was an absolute treat. Well worth investing in season 1 if you want to be entertained with a well written and beautifully shot show for a while.

Also while you are at it, I would for sure watch the Shield if I were you. I think after all the shows I watched (almost every cable series over last 10 years), the Shield is the most memorable show and just nonstop awesomeness for 7 full seasons.
