2011 offseason dynasty trades (1 Viewer)

Zealot Field league

I traded Best and my 2011 1.08 for Roddy White, his 2011 2.03 his 2012 2nd round choice.

I was pretty set at both RB and WR.

After the deal, at RB I now have MJD, Moreno, DeAngelo Williams and (will have) Ingram (and others); at WR I now have Boldin, Vincent Jackson, Megatron and White (and others).

I just was not convinced that Best would be anything more than a COP RB.

Team A:

gave up:

Year 2012 Round 1 Draft Pick

Year 2012 Round 2 Draft Pick

Year 2012 Round 3 Draft Pick

Year 2012 Round 4 Draft Pick

Year 2012 Round 5 Draft Pick

Year 2012 Round 6 Draft Pick

Year 2012 Round 7 Draft Pick

Year 2012 Round 8 Draft Pick

Team B:

gave up

Year 2012 Round 1 Draft Pick

Team B had the worst team in the league (0-13) and had the 1.1 b/f he traded it...will likely have it again next year.

Some owners just think their team is much better than it really is.

I would do this if i felt comfortable enough to think I was a playoff team and that the other team was a lock for a top 3 pick

What happens when that team uses the picks to trade for LT, Ocho, Benson, TO, Wayne, or any number of the players that can help a team win now, yet cost little due to age?Way too much risk for my tastes. All it takes is hitting on one player (i.e. Michael Vick, Arian Foster, Peyton Hillis, Brandon Lloyd...) and a couple trades to make a bad team MUCH better.

Didn't say it wasn't risky, obviously would depend on if i felt the team looked good enough to be a top 3 pick, and if I felt the owner was more than capable of keeping it as a top 3 pick.If so, then IMO it is well worth the risk.

From looking at your roster, I'd say it's a 1 qb league. Maybe he wouldn't be so bad if he wasn't carrying 8 qbs and 4 that are worthless.

Team A trades Stafford.

Team B trades Shonne Green.

Team A was stacked at QB with Romo, Flacco and Stafford.

Team B was hurting at QB with Sanchez, McNabb and Fitzpatrick.

Standard scoring, 12 team, non-ppt.

a little shocked by this trade that happened in a PPR dynasty last night

Team A gives: Harvin, Carlson

Team B gives: Sidney Rice, Amendola, 1.5 rookie pick

Call me nuts, but I thought Sidney Rice was worth more than Harvin, and to get the 1.5 and Amendola too?

I think both are valuable and it is a matter of opinion who you rank higher. Harvin has migraines but otherwise is a dynamic threat eeverytime he touches the ball. Rice is a great deep threat coming off a major injury with no certainty on where he will be playing next year.

Year 2011 Round 1 Draft Pick from Bone Collector

12 team ppr:

TEAM AAA gave up Green-Ellis, BenJarvus NEP RB;Moss, Randy TEN WR; Year 2011 pick #24

TEAM BBB gave up Year 2011 pick #5

TEAM CCC gave up Tate, Ben HOU RB;Floyd, Malcom SDC WR; Year 2011 pick #20

TEAM DDD gave up Grant, Ryan GBP RB;Ward, Hines PIT WR; Year 2011 pick #10

I took over a team this offseason that is a Contract Dynasty with IDP.

I made three trades:

1. Adrian Peterson (2 years) + 7th and 8th round 2011 Rookie Picks for Rashard Mendenhall (3 years) + Rookie Pick 3.14

2. Peyton Manning (1 year) + Rookie pick 4.07 for Josh Freeman (3 years) + Rookie Pick 2.13

3. Josh Freeman (3 years) + 5th and 6th round 2011 rookie picks fo4 Kevin Kolb (5 years), Demaryous Thomas (4 years) + Rookie Pick 2.03

I am surfing the rookie draft early, and traded away points for longer term economic stability. We'll see how that works out for me... I'll have a first, 4 2nd and a third round rookie pick. This team needs LBs and Dlinemen to be successful, plus maybe a TE or WR prospect. The second round should be a good space for those players.

What is everyone’s early views on how solid 2nd round picks will be this year? I have three second rounders between 2.05 and 2.10 and am trying to gauge what kind of talent will be available. I’m obviously resigned to the fact that there probably won’t be any great RB’s to choose from, but with the WR class looking pretty deep, maybe I can hit on at least one good WR with 3 swings. Or, what kind of trade value does a 2011 second rounder fetch in return for 2012 picks?

looking to acquire th 1.1. (Ingram man-crush)

and have the 1.5 and 1.6

thinking of offering both of my 1st Rd and my 2nd plus Mile Austin for his 1.1 and Dez Bryant.

Team is my "sig" is loaded but had a down year due to Romo injury , RB injuries, Moss' disapperance, and a lot of bad luck.

Adding the young talent of Ingram and Dez to the already solid team plus adding QB depth (hopefully) should put me in the Championship now and in the future.

1.1 & Dez >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> 1.5, 1.6 AustinThere is no reason for him to do that trade. This rookie class is shallow and the 1st 3 picks have more value than most years. I would rather have Dez over Austin in dynasty as well. Good luck.

I wouldn't be so sure.Miles Austin looked like the best WR in football, during the first quarter of the season. With Romo at the helm, Austin is a top 5-10 dynasty WR. Granted, Dez looked amazing for a rookie, for stretches. But I don't think it is safe to assume he will be better than Austin, at least, not enough to account for the risk. Dez and Austin is a wash, at best.As for the 1.01 compared to the 1.05 and 1.06, in PPR, it is close. Honestly, I think Green should be the no-brainier selection and would take him over the two picks. But if you are planning to take Ingram, it gets tricky. The way things look right now, the 5 and 6 picks could get you two of the following: Williams, LeShoure, and Baldwin. I would take two of them over Ingram in PPR formats.

Team A(ME) Gives: Rivers

for

Team B 1.02, Eli, Fred Jackson

I have Vick and need some help at Rb so I thought this was a good deal for me. Hopefully a RB will emerge or maybe the 1.1 doesn't take ingram. Non-PPR & I also have Spiller

Lots of Bonuses for Yardage (250-3) (300-4) (400-4) so Elite QB like Rivers have a lot of Value plus 6 pt passing td

With my Current WR group of AJ, Roddy, Miles, Steve Johnson, Crabtree, Moss , and I am high on Avery coming off IR with Bradford I couldnt justify taking AJ Green over Ingram.fast forward 4 years.... I could have a starting team of Mathews, Ingram, Moreno with Crabtree , Johnson, Bryant....with old geezers like Aj and Roddy White. lolI am hoping to entice the 1.1 OWner with the 1.5 /1.6 in hopes he wants a similar combo of LeShore / Baldwin...cause his team needs every thing.

Certainly a blockbuster, could argue for both sides there. I'm interested to know how the rosters look now and whether team A is putting it all on the line for a championship next year (looks that way)

Just went down in one of my PPR leagues:

Mike Williams (SEA)

for

Montario Hardesty, ~2.4, ~2.5

well...I'm team B that gave up MJD/Jennings/Marshall. I won the league in 2009 and although I still had a few nice players roster'd I had very little depth and felt like my team would ultimately finish in the middle of the pack saturated in mediocrity. So I decided to target 2012/2013 and blow it up now. I hated adding Choice to the deal, but I also wasn't going to let this deal fall through. I now have Bradford & McCoy @ QB R. Matthews and not much else @ RB Nicks, Dez, Britt, Demaryius Thomas, G. Tate, Meachem, D. Alexander @ WR and Finley/Carlson @ TE. I also have the 1.02 to add either Ingram or Green to this roster. I need help at RB and that will be my focus for 2011.Team A on the other hand is ready to make a serious charge for the title in 2011.

I understand going young, but the guys you gave up were still in their prime. I like Nicks and Mathews coming back, but Bradford is not a lock to be top 5 for 10 years or some of the predictions on these boards.... it looks like you gave up a ton for a QB that could actually start for you....

Also, you went young all at once - a little more gradual softens the fall. Marshall and MJD probably have more value at this time next year after better seasons in 2011...

I basically posted as a response to "The Big T" who was curious about the rosters now. I know there are plenty of FBG's out there who will think I gave up too much and that's fine - no worries. For me Matthews/Nicks/Dez/Bradford is > than MJD/Jennings/Marshall.

Marshall - yesMJD with his knee troubles and another year on the odometer - no

Maybe I'm reading this wrong, but what is team D doing? According to those two trades he gives Turner for a 2012 2nd rounder?
