Edge signed a big WWE contract recently. From what I've heard WWE is trying to get Cena vs Edge (big plans Cena said he wanted to do something big this mania) as even though they had great feuds never had the Mania match. Cena is pushing hard for it so we might get it.

Yeah this is an easy pass from me. No interest in an over the hill, part time, Hollywood defect Cena at all anymore. And honestly Edge isn't high enough on the all time list where I feel like I have to see him (again, over the hill).

In part I agree but I like Edge more then anyone else they've brought back recently. It's better then the proposed Taker/Sting match that should've happened 2 decades ago

Cheeseburger & others respond.

I’m starting to feel bad for this dude since everyone in the entire world is jumping on him. Guy is probably a local extra talent scared sh*tless of hurting a legend on live TV in a hectic brawl. It ain’t that deep y’all.

A completely fair point but easy for us to say as outsiders or people with years of experience. My whole point is that it’s a hectic situation so I can forgive someone for making a poor judgment call. And a poor judgment call that resulted in someone NOT being hurt.

Dude came out today. He's an AEW guy (Can't remember name and forgot to save the tweet) but he said Dustin was already bleeding and he was trying to protect him and Dustin did a good job try to sell the punches. Said the dude is a legend. Granted I don't know if this is true or if this guy is taking the bullet for the team or what but it makes sense to a degree.
People want to dump on the guy, yet they’ll swallow whatever Vince shoves down their throat. 🙄

The NWA TV title tournament has started on Power.

On commentary, The Pope (I'm guessing) threw a shot at Cornette when he said Eddie Kingston was so tough he could go into the ocean and fight a shark for a cell phone.  :lmao:   I'm wondering if this is going to be a running gag.  If so, it could be hilarious.

Someone I followed asked a question about their thoughts on the Young Bucks leaving twitter. I tweeted you could tell who's a bootlicking WWE fan, people who just hate AEW, AEW supporters or just pure wrestling fans were in the thread based on the comments. Overall I feel wrestling social media is beyond toxic. The reddit Squared Circle is so slanted to Meltzers views as as many WWE ### kissers.

On other topics you then have people who will constructively criticize wrestlers. For example when Nia broke Becky's nose you had multiple fans and talent and dirt sheet writers coming out and giving their take. Some of the stuff was really good. A few made comments similar to mine like "If she wasn't related to the Samoan Dynasty Vince would've fired her already. I don't want her fired but I think she needs to be sent back down to developmental and not see a ring till she properly shows some advancement." People took the family comments as an insult. Then you have the fans who you don't even dare criticize their favorite or you are the devil and don't even know wrestling. Some kid thought he schooled me and I told him I was watching wrestling since WCW/ECW and knew who Macho Man was (Kid didn't know who that was) well before he was a thought to his parents.

The sad thing is Sammy Zayn's comments about fans during that whole Electric chair segment was dead on. Bryan with the heel angle about fans being fickle is also sadly true. Wrestling fans are so bipolar. However give the fans what they want ad they are beyond happy.

Jericho says if Tanahashi beats him at Tokyo Dome next Sat Tony Khan is personally giving Tana a AEW title match. This could be the start of what many hope is a partnership between NJPW and AEW.

Also NJPW contract on AXS contract has expired and AXS says no more NJPW will air there. So NJPW is looking for a new US TV station to cover them. If they want to make it big in the uS who they go to TV wise is gonna be HUGE

Supreme Drama Queen Melina rushes to defend Rick Cataldo.

He was accused of sexual assault allegedly more than once, but This is one account I found.
Not a good look on her part if true. also people would be shocked just how much is let go in this business and who is defended. Bill DeMontt is just a tip of the iceberg on abuse allowed in the industry. A lot has to do with how promotions or other individuals may be looked at negatively if they report this as well as numerous people never believing allegations are true. This is why many VICTIMS DO NOT COME OUT as they are looked at negatively

After the Lars incident Vince had a meeting with Sullivan and asked why he shouldn't be fired immediately. Lars explained his mental issues are part of a childhood led by abuse and he turned to porn to get the attention he thought was missing but admitted he only humiliated himself more. As of now Lars is still employed but was also told Lars is on extremely thin ice and any other issues that come out could be the final straw. Lars hasn't been on TV and out of action given he's injured right now.

Also Randy Orton tore his MCL/ACL last night at a live event. Despite some websites claiming this is all a work Ive been told by several individuals that is not the case. Randy had issues even walking to his ride and was assisted after refusal of using a wheelchair. He'll be out for almost a year as long as nothing else is found during surgery that could complicate matters.

Got to admit WWE did a good job on this one. Apparently only a few people knew what was happening. Styles wasn't informed until he got to the arena last night that Orton wasn't legit hurt. Only the people involved in this one knew what was really going on.

It was good but it's not gonna make me come back to watch RAW good and no where Close to Mark Henry pretending to retire.

Talked to a few people over the last few days. Matt Hardy might do what the Hardyz did before signing with WWE and do a few different promotions before signing with AEW. Jeff's contract was extended do to time missed and AEW wants both Brothers. SO Matt might do some sort of run on the Indie scene before AEW (Some feel Scrull is doing this before signing with AEW too). One source said don't be surprised to see Matt in NWA. I question that as that seems like something out of the What the Hardyz do but nWA is online and most of the delete stuff Matt still does is streamed online anyway

Sad news today... BJ Whitmer and Kelly Klein are divorcing

I have a personal statement to make. My wife Kelly Klein and I are divorcing. This is happening because Kelly breached the trust in our relationship by stepping outside of our marriage. This is the only thing I have to say about the matter. This has been a very difficult time for myself and my family. News or our split was already spreading around the business and I wanted to make a statement before it made it to social media or wrestling media.

Smackdown was excellent tonight.

Side note..my phone is acting up, so I can't post a link. Google Johnny Gargano Childrens Hospital. He posted a video to a big fan here in Milwaukee. She is his favorite wrestler and in serious health trouble. They reached out on social media, and he responded in 2 hours and sent Christmas gifts. Do it.

Respect. Johnny Wrestling.

Bummer yo. Here in Albany today Cody and Brandi are gonna be at a local mall for autos/pics. But I worked an overnight last night so it'll be halfway done by the time I get back up, plus lines and all that.

Like I was saying to some friends...At least they're here and know we exist. That means we're likely a location they're prospectively looking at for shows. I'm totally down with that. Our arena here is exactly the size they like to do shows at. So I think we have a chance.
I didn't realize you were a local, I'm over near Schenectady.

TU center would be perfect for AEW,  or even the convention center where they had NXT a while back

Jon Moxley regaining the IWGP US title from Lance Archer this morning at WK14.

It will be Naito vs. Okada tonight for the honor of being IWGP double champion. Naito won the IC title from Jay White while Okada retained.

Anyone in the Minneapolis area taking in Wrestlepalooza this weekend? I'm going to night #2 tonight. Best wrestling nights of the year in the Twin Cities. Joey Ryan, Colt Cabana, Orange Cassidy and others.

Cameron should have role as valet for Enzo & Big Cass.
Cameron rumbead lot of WWE people the wrong way. I forget some of the stuff but she was really lazy and once WWE Execs realized she was using WWE as a stepping stone to other stuff she was let go. Was not very well liked there and I believe she came out on Social media blaming others for her WWE release

I'm up for Night 1 of the best show all year - Wrestle Kingdom let's freaking go!
I got my nights so mixed up I missed night 1 so now I'm watching it now. I've had a horrible head cold most of the week and last night was the first night I felt good but because I had been going to bed so early I fell asleep watching a movie on Disney+ and didn't wake up till 5 am and crawled into my own bed

I know he trained her; just curious why you call it weird.
It was always a weird marriage. I remember talking to some ROH people when they got engaged and can't remember exact details but they didn't think it would last. From rumors it sounds like Kelly was cheating on him and it was more than once. I don't know if another wrestler was involved or not.

Talked to someone close to the USO's. I won't give a lot of detail but they are doing well Jimmy is getting the help he needs. They won't be back for awhile though. WWE has nothing for them and they are coming back as faces to their 2nd theme. They want to do things right for the fans.

Also we talked about Vince and WWE overall. Basically Vince doesn't have a lot of say because it's a publicly traded company. Hunter taking over won't do a dam thing. It's the investors and brokers who have say. Essentially unless they see a drop In their pockets it's gonna continue to be status quo.
At the time there was nothing for them. I was told they'd come back closer to mania. They did come back as Faces and Help Roman. THey were always going to be on SD though

It all sounded fun till you mentioned this embarrassment of a human being. Dude is also completely full of himself.

I loved that last pre show match with the Vets for WK. Thats how you do legends who can still go. I know WWE fans would hate putting Legend matches on a pre show like that but that where those types of matches belong unless there is some sort of huge importance (AKA Liger Retirement). I love the pre show tradition of the guys not on main card not using the ramp either in a sign of respect. NJPW really gets it with the little things about wrestling like this. Their pre shows especially WK is something WWE and others need to do. 1 hour pre show with 2 matches (maybe 3 matches). Show the matches get some commentary opinions for the main card and then get a good 20 mins of a break or so before main show to go use the restroom, get food or drink etc.  NEW JAPAN PRO WRESTLING Wrestling done right!!!!!

I'll be there. I cannot believe the Hammer of the Gods was broken night one...I hope Thunderfrog is okay.

Kane is the next guest on Broken Skull Sessions. Should be a great show. Can't wait to hear them talk about their program that led to Kane's 24 hour title run lol.
