The sure things that you should expect everyone to take. Going against this trend will hurt you in the long run.

Indianapolis @ Tampa Bay Monday, 10/3 8:30pm EST

Buffalo @ Cincinnati Sunday, 10/2 1:00pm EST

Miami @ San Diego Sunday, 10/2 4:15pm EST

Denver @ Green Bay Sunday, 10/2 4:15pm EST

The I'm taking them but I can be swayed group.

Carolina @ Chicago Sunday, 10/2 1:00pm EST

Cam Newtown's thrown a lot but they have no running game to help him.

Tennessee @ Cleveland Sunday, 10/2 1:00pm EST

Is Cleveland an improving team or are they rebuilding?

Detroit @ Dallas Sunday, 10/2 1:00pm EST

Pittsburgh @ Houston Sunday, 10/2 1:00pm EST

San Francisco @ Philadelphia Sunday, 10/2 1:00pm EST

Which Mike Vick plays?

Washington @ St. Louis Sunday, 10/2 1:00pm EST

St Louis got annihilated last week, will the real St. Louis please stand up so I have a clue who to piick.

New York(NYG)@ Arizona Sunday, 10/2 4:05pm EST

THis could easily be a trap game for the Giants after the big win against Philly.

Atlanta @ Seattle Sunday, 10/2 4:05pm EST

I don't like to pick against Seattle at home but Atl is still a preumium team in the NFL.

The toss-ups:

New England @ Oakland Sunday, 10/2 4:15pm EST

Can NE play Def?

New York(NYJ) @ Baltimore Sunday, 10/2 8:20pm EST

Couldn't stop McFadden, why will they stop Ray Rice?

Minnesota @ Kansas City Sunday, 10/2 1:00pm EST

KC has a great homefield and Minny has been terrible. Is the road team a bad choice?

I will post mine soon but I still think NE is going to hold a lot of the public majority in these pools. Taking Oakland just seems like a good way to give a game back to the field. I am not going to try and get cute with this one.

There's 7 games where the dog has > 15% of the picks:

Ten @ CLE(43%) | Can't pick CLE as an underdog until they have a decent win under their belts.

PIT(43%)@HOU | It's hard to gauge PIT this year. giving the edge to the home team

DET @ DAL(31%) | Expect DET to roll.

WAS@STL(24%) | Really tough game to call. The win means more to STL and they're home

MIN@KC(24%) | Peterson for the win

BAL@NYJ(20%) | Giving the edge to BAL for a better offense

NYG@ARI(16%) | Don't see enough out of ARI to pick against the Giants

Outside of those the only two games that interest me are:

CAR(11%)@CHI | I can see CAR coming out with a win. Look for Greg Olsen to have a big game against his former team

NE@OAK(14%): | OAK has been giving up points by the bucketfull. NE will focus on Run DMC and make the raiders beat them through the air.

So after all that, I'm only picking 1 dog this week: STL. I'm still in first place, so if someone's going to catch me they're going to have to take risks.

I may switch to CAR at the last minute.

I don't like NE flying 'cross the country but Oak off the big win and NE off the embarrassing loss doesn't make me comfortable. I'm switching my pick to NE.

Couple Notes -

Not really sure what makes Dallas a favorite in this game, and taking them strictly because I think they find a way to sneak this one out. Plus, I can see a lot of Detroit love in these pools after the hot start.

I think Washington has a distinct advantage on the ground against St. Louis, and Landry coming back is a huge improvement to the secondary.

My Picks: I'm going against the grain but I think similar to Baltimore week 2 against TENN, after a huge win i think Bills come out flat and the underrated Bengals win by a FG.

Fantastic week mcgruff. Any chance you guys post your picks and thoughts prior to sunday? I'd love to actually have a "conversation" about this rather than just posting our picks.
