Game of Thrones, tv only, books don't exist, no backstory...NERDS already ruining a series that hasn't started (6 Viewers)

the headless whoresman might have died, but his death served a huge purpose, because he got the mountain to admit that he raped and killed his sister, who is part of the dornish royal family. Which means that they now have a very serious bone to pick with tywin lannister - its one thing to kill oberyn,he volunteered for the fight. Its quite another to kill the princess on orders of the hand of the king.

Everyone pretty much already knew the Mountain killed them. The question Oberyn was trying to get answered was whether Tywin Lannister ordered it. Tywin had previously told Oberyn (at the brothel) that the Mountain acted on his own.

"The Children" could mean that the Imp's fate won't be decided till Ep10 and Ep9 is the wall battle, primarily. This is a guess. I haven't watchted the previews yet.

They like to finish seasons with White Walker stuff. Since we now know that White Walkers come from babies, I'm guessing that will play into the title.

I have a pretty solid theory on the whole series' endgame, but I'm not sure I want to make it public.
Drop a hint or two in a spoiler tag?
Might as well throw out the main point here...

Dany is going to be bringing dragons into a land where there's a Stark child who can control animals. Eventually we get Brandon Stark, the First of His Name, Defender of the Realm, yada yada yada

FYI to any book readers, I DO NOT WANT TO KNOW IF THIS HAPPENS OR IS EVEN POSSIBLE.

Ha. I am a book reader, and that seems a pretty solid theory.

There is no spoiler possibility here, by the way. Book reader or not, no one knows if your theory is correct, so no problem throwing it out there. In case you were wondering.

Oh yeah, I forgot there's still another book to come.

I assumed everyone would have read homers prediction mostly because I thought it would contain young naked girls.

I deleted my post. do not read homers spoiler post if you have read massraiders post

Hadn't really thought of that connection. Good one.

Doesn't the TV show meet up with the books published to date at the end of next season? Can't come soon enough.
it is all over, so dont get your hopes up. book 3 was two seasons, and we still have books 4 & 5. some plots have caught up to book 5, some are still in 3. long story short, they could easily get 2-3 seasons out of current written material. by then book 6 might be out though.

When that happens lets have the mods merge all the threads.

If you guys are right, i agree that Tywin and Cersai should be nervous.
But maybe not Littlefinger; he may not be dynamic but his story is interesting: will he win?
Agree completely. Hope that story continues to play out. Just saying it wouldn't exactly shock me at all to see Arya gnawing on his thighbone by this time next week.
Cersai stills interests me as well. Tywin is a bore, especially since hes become hand of the king.
Agree. He's also making successful move after successful move. I'm in the camp that he bites it by seasons end.

The writers wanted me to hate Joffrey and I did- a very successful villain. Now the writers want me to hate Ramsey and all I feel is a kind of bored contempt. Why is that?

Does timschooch know there's porn on the internet?
I've been aware of that fact for some time yes. And?
I'm just saying if all you want to do is watch sex on tv that's available, so maybe you can stop posting about it.
Is it really that annoying to you that I drop a few throwaway lines once in a while about certain characters I'd like to see "more" of? Am I the only one guilty of this?
You're not the only one, but for some reason it's super creepy when you do it.
:lmao:

Never mind, looked it up.

Names of the two episodes are Watchers on the Wall, and The Children.

Hmmm.

Guess we see a big battle between Snow and Mance? Who is going to come help the Nights Watch? Cant be much of a battle with 100 guys against 100,000.

The Children? Wonder what that one is about? Do all the Stark kids finally meet up at the Wall?
I'm thinking Watchers on the Wall is the Nights Watch v the band of wildlings already on the south side of the Wall not with Mance.

Totally agree. The one question most people want the answer to is whether or not Tyrion lives, I seriously doubt they give that up before the final episode, and they may even make it a ####### cliffhanger and not answer it until next season.

I would be careful even looking at episode titles in the future. knowing the last episode was titled the mountain and the viper would have pissed people off a couple weeks ago.

Yes, we need a new thread - no books, episode titles or previews. Only the part of the show beginning immediately after the opening credits up to the closing credits.

I may be wrong on this, but didn't Tyrion say in a previous episode that he would rather be dead, than sent to the Night's Watch? As smart as he is, there has be an Ace up his sleeve that he can play at his family to get him out of his current predicament. .

2 more to come

lots of reasons:

1. ramsay is introduced much later and we already had joffrey to hate.

2. Ramsay is ####### with theon, who we didn't like by that time, and a few others we didn't know. joffrey killed ned, messed with sansa and tyrion, etc.

3. joff had more power to screw with more people.

4 we got to see more of a ramping up of the sadistic side of joffrey. goes from whiney tool to putting arrows through hookers for fun. Ramsay is a one-note villain.

that would imply that he planned this outcome to a point. as soon as he saw shae at the trial it was all emotions, no thought.

I hope "the children" means the youngest starks. would love an episode on bran with least 25mins catching up on the exploits of Rickon.

And another where we can't discuss anything that has or might have happened on TV or in the books.

I can't say as to why, but I can't shake the feeling that Varys is going to save The Imps ### somehow. The whole I didn't forget speech has to figure in eventually somehow.

He didn't step in the save Ned Stark the last time and he saw how it all turned out.

#### the haters here, Stannis is the man. You forget about Blackwater?
the battle he lost to a midget?
I seem to remember him overcoming wildfire and having the midget trapped before Tywin and Loras Tyrell led a surprise cavalry attack.
Right...so, he got pwn3d.
It took every damn trick in the book to stop him and he's still making moves. I loved when his own troops were like, "after this wildfire we can't rush the beach, hundreds will die." His inspiring response, "Thousands." He's the kind of no BS leader the 7 kingdoms need.

I think Shae has something to do with it

What is Varys going to do? Only thing he could is somehow prove that Littlefinger was really behind it, but how does he do that? Tywin won't just take his word on it.

Might've been said already, but occured to me today that is the Mountain does die then Oberyn actually did get his revenge/justice. He just wasn't around to enjoy it.
