Allen Robinson (knee) is active for Week 13 against the Lions.

Robinson will play through a questionable tag after a late week setback forced him to miss practice time. Darnell Mooney (knee) is also active. It gives Mitchell Trubisky his full support cast in his second start since returning from injury, with Nick Foles (hip) backing him up. The rest of Chicago's inactives are RB Artavis Pierce, OL Lachavious Simmons, DT Daniel McCullers, WR Riley Ridley, and LB James Vaughters.

Allen Robinson (knee) was limited in Wednesday's practice.

Robinson played through the minor knee issue last week to go 6-75 on seven targets against the Lions. He's a volume-driven WR2 in a bad Chicago offense and gets a date with Houston in Week 14.

Allen Robinson caught 4-of-5 targets for 83 yards in the Bears' Week 15 win over the Vikings.

It was a mostly quiet game for the Bears passing game. Mitchell Trubisky only attempted 21 passes while David Montgomery had a career-high 32 carries. That balance hurt Robinson's ceiling chances, but the weekly WR1 remained Trubisky's go-to option. Robinson will be one of the best fantasy receivers next week against Jacksonville. The Jaguars were missing their top four corners in Week 15.

We would assume this is merely maintenance after Robinson was "full" on Wednesday, but it is a new ailment this week. Robinson's status will need a second check ahead of Sunday's smash spot in the Jaguars.

Robinson was held out Thursday but returned to a limited practice Friday. That puts him on track to play in Sunday's favorable matchup with Jacksonville. Robinson is our No. 7 ranked receiver for Week 16.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports Bears WR Allen Robinson (hamstring) is expected to play in Week 16 against the Jaguars.

Robinson gets a juicy matchup versus the Jaguars secondary this week. No team has allowed more yards per pass attempt in the past five years than this Jacksonville team. The Bears offense has looked surprisingly good since Mitchell Trubisky became the starter, scoring 25, 30, 36, and 33 points in his four starts. Robinson is a locked-in WR1 for the final week of most fantasy seasons.

Allen Robinson caught 10-of-13 targets for 103 yards in the Bears' Week 16 win over the Jaguars.

It was Robinson's return to Jacksonville after spending the first four years of his career there. Robinson easily paced the Bears in targets, catches, and yards, but just couldn't find the end zone, even as Mitchell Trubisky forced some passes his direction in the scoring area. One was picked off, and Robinson drew a DPI on another. Jimmy Graham scored both touchdowns from Trubisky. Robinson gets a Week 17 date with the Packers. He went 8-74-2 on 13 targets against them in Week 12.

Allen Robinson caught 6-of-7 targets for 55 yards in the Bears' Wild Card loss to the Saints.

Robinson appeared in all 16 games for the second straight season and caught a career-high 102 passes on 151 targets, turning them into 1,250 yards and six touchdowns. Only Stefon Diggs, DeAndre Hopkins, and Davante Adams caught more passes among wideouts, and it was good enough to make Robinson the overall WR15 in half-PPR points per game. 2021 will be Robinson's age-28 season, and he's scheduled to hit free agency. After playing his entire career with Blake Bortles and Mitchell Trubisky, one would have to think finding a star quarterback to catch passes from will be Robinson's top priority this coming offseason. He had very public disagreements with the Bears during the season and was reportedly looking for a trade. Robinson would likely be extremely angered if he were slapped with the franchise tag, but it's not out of the question.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the Bears and Allen Robinson haven't had long-term contract talks since September.

Robinson is the top impending free agent receiver, but the Bears could slap the franchise tag on Robinson even if he has no intention of playing in Chicago. One scenario laid out by Pelissero is the Bears franchise tagging Robinson and then trading him. Ultimately, Robinson would have some leverage in this scenario by naming which teams he'd be willing to sign a long-term extension with, so this could turn ugly. Who the Bears bring in at quarterback this offseason (potentially Carson Wentz) could play into Robinson's willingness to re-sign with the Bears long-term. Kenny Golladay could be in a similar situation to Robinson's in Detroit.

Speaking Tuesday, Bears GM Ryan Pace admitted impending free agent Allen Robinson could be franchise tagged. 

“We have a ton of respect for Allen,” Pace claimed. “We have to do what’s best for the Bears too. We consider everything. ... No firm decision on that yet, but we know we have it at our disposal. We want to keep our good players and Allen is a good player for us.” Long frustrated better long-term offers have not been forthcoming, Robinson has unsurprisingly seemed unenthused about the prospect of the tag. It is possible the Bears could be planning on a tag-and-trade, but their M.O. is generally to go for it. They have one more week to mull the tag.

Bears assigned the franchise tag to WR Allen Robinson. 

Robinson's coming tag was the offseason's worst kept secret. It is worth $16.4 million. The sides have not appeared remotely close to a long-term agreement, and Robinson might be feeling disrespected enough to not really consider one before the mid-July deadline. That would change if the Bears came truly correct, of course, but there has been little indication that is in the offing. With Robinson secured for at least 2021, the Bears' next order of business is figuring out who will be throwing him the football. Five months shy of his 28th birthday, Robinson remains one of the very best wideouts in football.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports unsigned franchise player Allen Robinson is in "no rush" to sign his tender. 

Chris Godwin is signing his tender Thursday, but Robinson is understandably waiting after the acrimony of his contract talks over the past year. The Bears are really going to have to come correct if they want to hammer out a multi-year agreement before the July 15 deadline. Talk of anything other than top-of-the-market money is going to be a complete non-starter for 27-year-old Robinson.

Allen Robinson signed his $18 million franchise tag for 2021.

Robinson is officially under contract, but this doesn't guarantee he'll play for the Bears. A tag-and-trade scenario is still in play if Robinson is unhappy about not securing a long-term deal. Perhaps Robinson is noticing how dry the receiver market is right now and is willing to gut through one more in Chicago. Because of their cap situation, the Bears have released their top quarterback and may have to trade DT Akiem Hicks. Robinson will be a borderline WR1 with Andy Dalton in fantasy if he sticks around.

The Chicago Sun-Times' Jason Lieser reports Bears WR Allen Robinson plans to report to minicamp on Tuesday.

Robinson didn't report to OTAs the past two weeks despite signing his $18 million franchise tag, bringing into question whether he'd hold out for the mandatory portion of Phase 3 workouts, too. Lieser reports otherwise as Robinson is expected to participate Tuesday-Thursday with the rest of the team before breaking away for a month prior to training camp. There's no denying Robinson, 28 in August, is disgruntled at the organization's lack of commitment in him long-term, but this development is still terrific news for his outlook from Justin Fields, the best quarterback the former will have ever played with the moment Andy Dalton is benched.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports the Bears and franchise-tagged WR Allen Robinson are "unlikely" to reach a long-term deal before next week's deadline.

"The two have had no substantive talks in months about a long-term deal," Pelissero reported. "At this point, it seems unlikely a long-term deal will get done." Chicago has been perpetually timid about re-signing Robinson over the past two years, though he did report to the mandatory portion of OTAs amid that turmoil. 28 in August, Robinson is fully expected to play out his $18 million franchise tag rather than holding out. Whether the two sides can even come close to a long-term deal next offseason is truly up in the air.
