This set of polls is for rookie picks prior to the NFL draft. There will also be a set of polls for after the NFL draft. As always - please feel free to add any comments on why you selected a player at this slot and to suggest players who you think have been overlooked (or if you voted other, then please feel free to add a post on who you voted for).

The purpose for these polls is to attempt to roughly gauge the perceived values of the rookie players without knowing the context of their draft position and team that they are drafted by. The polls that take place after the NFL Draft obviously will factor in situation as well as talent, and of course the knowledge of what NFL Draft round and team each player has landed on.

Debate is very welcome as we all want to know not only which players are specifically ranked ahead of others but also why. This also bumps the thread so that more people will see the poll and hopefully participate by voting.

I will try to stay on top of these and keep the polls moving. The more votes the better. I prefer to not close any poll until there are at least 100 votes and I might leave a poll open longer if the vote is very close between prospects.

This looks like the pick where situation will end up playing a role in the choice.

Yeah, I hold the 1.06 and this is about what I've been thinking. The first 5 are basically no-brainers. You might prefer the WR's in different order but those 3 are ahead of the rest. I'm hoping that someone really blows up the combine and has a great landing spot and jumps him up into this tier meaning I land him or I land one of the other 5 that have already been taken. If there is no guy that rises up draft boards due to combine/draft location then this is the point where there is a clear tier break.

It's interesting that since the news of Coleman came out about being in a walking boot, his value has plummeted.

It's not even just that. I've been reading a lot of analysts calling him a one trick pony lately and not a big fan of his overall game. I agree that it didn't seem like long ago that Coleman was regarded as the clear #3 RB in this draft.

Honestly, I hope his value keeps falling. He put up amazing number for the....wait for it....INDIANA HOOSIERS. I know the NFL is an entirely different animal, but I liken his performance last season to the step up he'll take going forward. He was playing with JAGs versus quality competition and destroying them. Watch the OSU game for reference.

I agree with what you guys are saying about there being a separation of opinion on this decision point at pick 1.06

After 48 votes these are four different players getting substantial support, Ayaji, Coleman, Jalen Strong and DGB, with a few votes also going to Sammie Coates and Duke Johnson as well.

It will be interesting to see if a real favorite emerges or not.

The 1:06 pick looks like a spot where there is going to be a real drop in player caliber and confidence. I'd assume that the top 5 are pretty well solidified at this point, post combine. In some order, Gurley, Gordon, Cooper, White and Parker are probably clearly ahead of whoever gets taken here. Good year top have top 5 pick.
