Harris 688
I know it's a running thread but my Transcontinental Bike Race (originally set for July/August) already cancelled/postponed to same time in 2021. Had just finished building up a new set of wheels for the race too, but totally support the decision based on everything we're seeing. Organizers of the race are certainly more with it than the organizers of the Olympics it seems. 1

But if others arrive at noon, see a full lot, and still choose to participate, that's going to get things shut down in Alberta as well. Not that it matters much, as I don't think I'll have any flight options to get north for the next few weeks/months. I've only been driving to the trails here in my town, haven't been down to any on or around Mt. Tam since the shelter in place began. The trail I went to today still had a sign saying it was open and reminding users to practice social distancing, but I can see that changing based on the announcement yesterday. Kind of sucks because the trails here in town are pretty sparsely populated at the busiest of times, so it's a lot easier to keep to yourself than it is trying to run through the neighborhoods where there has been a huge increase in people out and about walking around.
gianmarco 28,450
Well, despite a steroid pack and some rest, knee still achy after my run yesterday of only 3 miles. It's not as bad as in the beginning but certainly still there. My marathon training plan is scheduled to start tomorrow with my first workout. At this point, I'm just going to jump in and do it. The pain certainly isn't anywhere near bad enough where I can't finish a run. I'm going to give it a week of running through it along with some NSAIDs. If it starts getting worse, then I'm going to legit shut it down for at least a week and deal with the consequences of the lost fitness. Frustrating as I shouldn't have tried to keep getting out there every 3-4 days this last week and a half. I am looking forward to actually starting some training, though. Tomorrow is 6 x 1 minute at 7:00. Shouldn't be terrible and a good way to jump in!

March 7 was when I felt the worst, but I never attempted to run when I felt symptoms. Zero runs from me 3/6-3/13. There was no way I would have considered running on March 7, I was struggling to breath and just tried to get through the day. Since then I have tried to keep it easy and the one 6 miler I ran might have been too much too soon. One other 6 miler turned into a 4 as I was starting to work too hard. Some of that might have been due to running in warmer temps. I feel fine now when I’m not running and confident that I will be my old self soon, the concern at the moment is that my oldest daughter is now sick. 2

SFBayDuck 7,221
I keep feeling tightness in my chest. My HR was way higher on my run today than it should have been for the effort.
