McJose appears to believe that an invention is when you take an existing product, change a letter in the name, and put something people are allergic to in it.

Nobody’s really allergic to gluten

Still touring DC.  George Washington had a whole lot more slaves than I remember from high school history class.

Tell the kids this joke:

Thomas Jefferson liked his coffee like he liked his women...

Hand-picked from a field.

I bet they'll get a kick out of it.

How about a personal lubricant called "Stiffy Lube"?

But don't trust me, player.  Trust this peer-reviewed article from the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.

Quote

Non–IgE-mediated food allergy encompasses a wide range of disorders affecting the gastrointestinal tract (food protein– induced enterocolitis syndrome [FPIES], food protein–induced allergic proctocolitis [FPIAP], food protein–induced enteropathy [FPE], celiac disease, and CM allergy–induced iron deficiency anemia), skin (contact dermatitis to foods and dermatitis herpetiformis), and lungs (Heiner syndrome, also known as pulmonary hemosiderosis).

Oh, snap!

@St. Louis Bob that's a rough decision, but i think you honor your friends wishes.  have you seen the will?  it might be nice to see what she intends to do before jumping into the fray.

my FIL wants me to be the executor of his will, due the f'd up nature of 2 of his kids.  i told him, thank you, but there's no way in hell i am getting involved.

GB Thorn has the right advice, but if I were you I'd do the thing anyway (the executorship, not the daughter) because I'm a softie.  But let me know if I can help in any way.

Told her about an hour ago I would do it because I'm soft, dumb and love her.   Thanks again to everyone.

It’s almost worse that I hate the guy.  Now I feel like I should be nice to him.  It’s not like he’ll remember anyway though.

Who knew fish had such an adverse reaction to gluten?

I’ve been chaperoning 8th graders since Saturday, after I flew cross country in a premium seat that I got half of because I was next to an obese guy that farted the whole way.  I’ve been sober for 4 days including my 50th birthday.  #### you with a gluten horsedick.

I would think about it in the context of helping and being good to your wife.  She is really what matters at this point.

How is the ring replacement or repair going?  How is her finger healing?

Upon jeweler’s recommendation no ring repair or replacement until it heals.  She needs at least 4-6 weeks before it’s healed. Hand specialist later this week to see if she needs surgery.  Thanks for asking.

she hates him almost as much as I do. So there’s all that conflicting stuff going on.

Gluten horsedick is what I’m naming my corn dog company.

I’d rather have Alzheimer’s and forget that I had celiac disease so that I’d  eat bread at every meal.
