who gets cut off drinking at a restaurant in NYC on a Wednesday?
Who gets cut off drinking anywhere period? I think I've only witnessed it a handful of times in my life.
Sadly...very sadly it happens at the BWW that my wife manages quite often.

My wife told me a great story last week.

A new server had a table in the bar that was becoming obnoxious (yelling, spilling, throwing limes etc). Server is a tiny, little girl. Server tells my wife she wants to cut them off. Server does. Jagoffs gives her crap. Server stands her ground (wife was hovering nearby). Jagoffs eventually accept they're done at this current establishment. Server even keeps her cool when jagoffs try to give her crap about the bill.

One of the jagoffs writes on the tip line of his tab "stay out of dark alleys" instead of a tip. What a badass. Server shows my wife.

Wife gets the biggest, meanest looking vato loco from the kitchen. Dude is like 6'5", 300lbs. She says "follow me outside". They stand right outside the door while group of jagoffs hangout by their car. Wife tells big dude "I'm going to point to these guys...all you do is point and nod". Big man does it. Jagoffs see what's going on. One of them spreads his arms like "what you gonna do?". Wife says "don't do anything but shake your head".

Jagoffs slink off.

it happened to me once. I guess I was a mess, but didn't realize it at the time and got pretty pissed off about it.

still wound up having a good night.

also, GM and I were refused entrance to a bar because we "showed visible signs of intoxication" at the door.

I was kicked out of El Jardin once because someone walking up the stairs bumped into me while I was going down the stairs.

The bump made me lose my balance and I stumbled down the stairs. As I was hitting the last step, a bouncer walked into my path and i blindsided him into a wall.

Also, when 21, I got carded at the door of some place. Blatantly drunk, the bouncer decided it was better to tell me that the bar was 22 and over to get in than to let me in.

That one got ugly since the 5 people in my group that were carded before me were also 21 and already allowed in.

They wouldn't let me into a casino in Canada because I told them "enough" when they asked me how much I drank that day. Also got kicked out of a script club for trying to use the locker room as a bathroom

Re: casino They might have been concerned with my consumption because I was 19 (looked 14) and dropped my ID inside the turnaround door thing and smashed my face on the glass when trying to retrieve it

My little brother got kicked out of a strip club for giving a lap dance to a stripper. He got let back in because he used to know her in high school

What is this script club anyways? I agree when writing in cursive you should prob be sober, so they were probably right showing you the door.

A buddy and I were once turned away when we forgot we had a bottle of Black Velvet with us as we were walking in. We got upset when, after stashing the bottle in the bushes, they still wouldn't let us in.

:bag:

i got thrown out of murphy's outside wrigley field. if you've been there, this is no simple task. i was there with a big group of friends and the, day game  didn't start for at least an hour. so i snuck back in, gave the bartender a $50 and all was well. i'm fairly proud of that one.

and for some reason, one time at the grocery store, me and a couple buddies were not allowed to buy booze after playing a spontaneous game of tackle football, in the produce section, with a cantaloupe. i didn't understand what the problem was, as i was holding the crushed cantaloupe and fully intended on paying for it.

Listening to my wife doing a conference call with a bunch of other managers (from all over Cen/SoCal)

It's all about prepping for the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight.

I think D-Day took less planning.

Frigging costs BW $5000 to air the fight. Need a reservation to attend. All sold out here. $20 cover charge. I bet it is a planning nightmare. Imagine all the boxing fans absent a reservation showing up and demanding to attend. Damn.

Yeah, it's pretty nuts.

They have to hire security. They've done that in the past for big UFC fights but this is unreal. Not to mention the location here draws a semi-rough crowd.

Come on....it's not Beaverton Rough. Tell your wife to step into this Thunderdome and report back.

"you need to stop running your mouth and step your Crocs out to your Prius and go home"

Matt Forte did an "Ask Me Anything" on Reddit today.

The top voted question is:

HEY MATT! HAS PLAYING WITH JAY CUTLER MADE YOU A BETTER TACKLER?
Matt did not answer.
I posted on teh facebooks last night that the Bears should petition the league to let Kevin White wear a DB jersey number, so Cutler will be able to find him.
Lol

Somebody said they should give him #80 so fans can recycle their old Dez White jerseys.

At a dance recital :killmenow:

It's amazing how confused all the dads are about what to wear to this. I'm in a button shirt, gray pants and boots. There are guys in tshirts shorts flip flops all the way to guys in full suits.
