GM's Thread About Everything/GM's Thread About Nothing (7 Viewers)

I had a friend who worked for a company that monitored network traffic on their customers' networks. They used to offer a free trial and deliver reports on any inappropriate behavior to management. Their biggest hurdle was that management was often the worst offenders for inappropriate searches, posts, etc. As soon as they realized what was going on you'd get some vp telling their cio that they didn't need this software and it was an unnecessary expense.

No results on my test.

So, as I was saying to Kev, :teamseton: needs more heavy drinking party blondos on the marketing team if they are going to compete with :teamstdaviss:

Color me interested.

Buddy told me they would be home at 8:30. They're not here. Fortunately, I brought booze.

My father is certain he has a long term care policy. He cannot remember who it was with and i can find no trace of it in his file cabinets or bank records. Is there any way i can find out if he actually has a policy and with whom it might be? We don't need it now, but I'd sure feel a better if I could verify its existence
Here in Texas? I would start with the Texas Department of Insurance.
He's been here 8 years, but i imagine he purchased it when in new Mexico. But that's a great starting point, thanks gb.
No prob. I would definitely get on it now. And I thought LTC insurance was something you paid on an annual basis like homeowners or auto so no bank records would be a red flag for me.
There is no database or record tracking system of this stuff. That's surprising to me. Seems like hospitals would demand access to such a thing to ensure they got paid when intaking a patient with diminished capacity, who might have coverage, but no idea when or if it was ever acquired..

Night 2 at Dell Children's hospital. Went and got more wine so that's good. Kid is finally asleep although the fever has been off and on through the day. Hopefully we can go home tomorrow. Hot nurse is not here. Fat male nurse is.

I did, however, interview today for a sales vP role at a 60 million dollar subsidiary of a publicly traded company. So I'm pretty excited about that.

@GM - washed up and old or not, seeing Bruce Hornsby or Steve Winwood play piano live is an amazing experience and should be embarked upon once.

At a conference o attend last year, a security VP at sonic wall and a network guy at Dell held a panel together. They only said "a large school in central Texas" but clearly were talking about UTexas. Said that the Internet traffic at the university between students and teachers combined broke down like this:

4% gambling

94% porn

2% research and academic related activities.

For real yo

1. Good luck with the kid

2. Good,luck with the job.

3. I'll take your word for it

Isn't Yellowstone in Wyoming? Seemed pretty awesome to me.
That's true. Grand Tetons, Jackson, prairie dogs, Brokeback. Some quality stuff no other state has. But I-80 cutting left to right or right to left is teh utmost suck. Spent a night in Kemmerer, WY once. Felt like I was being live blogged in a Stephen King novel.
not sure there's a more awful, boring state to drive through than South Dakota or Nebraska.
Never been through them but Ohio Is pretty terrible, especially now that Big Butter Jesus burned down
Has been replaced with 5 Dollar Footlong Jesus

Parenting update:

Bad: 16 month old is spending the night at the children's hospital after 9 days of constant fever (bacterial infection, now under control thanks for asking)

Good: the night nurse is smoking hot.

It's the little things.
Hope everything is ok

Just discovered that someone in China has been using my credit card off and on for the past 6 months. Having the charges taken off will drop my balance due :pickle:
How do you go 6 months without noticing this?
Even I wonder about this. :coffee:
It's a card that I never use, I just have my Sirius account attached to it. I jump on the website, make a payment and jump off. I never checked the activity because I never expected that there would be any. That day, I was looking for something specific from awhile ago when I noticed the charges.

These closeups of a Jan from Toyota are no beuno. Face has more bumps than a school parking lot.
Who?
Don't forget this is the guy who things that homely AT&T chick (Milla Bathtub or something) is hot
I think she is
Don't get me wrong, I'd certainly bang her, but nothing special
Oh S T F U

Average viewing session for an on demand movie at a hotel is six minutes. That means that for every two hour feature film, 120 people watch a movie for five minutes.

I can't even remember the last time I stayed in a hotel that offered pay movies.

Took the wife and kid to a double feature at the drive-in theater. Fun time. $28 for 2 adults and a kid for 2 movies was an excellent deal. $17 for 3 drinks, a funnel cake and a churro, not so much.

Have to say that Inside Out was pretty good. Much deeper story than even most Pixar movies.
