Wow, that sucks. I haven't been on jury duty for a while but am pretty sure you can use a phone here. Not in the courtroom obviously.

I'm generally against rushing...well, anything. But my calendar is quite barren next week. Things get hectic again in March. So, selfishly - I support this idea.

Just got clarification. No phones allowed anywhere in courthouse, BUT I can go to my car on lunch-break. So Ill at least be able to make a mid-day pick.

By my count, the vote count was:
A - 7
B - 5
I did not vote, and oddly enough, neither did Hell Toupee. The new team didn't vote, but Frosty did (and it was discarded).
It's not an overwhelming majority, but I think that'll be enough to keep us with the same settings as last season.
Unless @E-Z Glider is opposed to it, I'll work with him on updating a list for his picks through the days (presuming he'll be able to check in during his jury lunches and then after hours). That'll keep us on track for a March 2 start date.
I'll be sending out instructions for draft order and league dues soon. Let's take care of those this week. If we get all 15 teams paid and draft order determined before Monday, I'm fine with starting it early.
