WR Nelson Agholor, NE

If I needed a plugin, I would certainly take a chance over many others who are available on the wire.  In some leagues, I roster him and based upon his production (and my losses due to injury/covid), the would easily be my wr3.

With Golladay and Ridley getting hurt, and Fulgham on bye, that is the type of player I'm looking for. It just feels like most analysts aren't valuing him at that level. I think it is a combination of him being a first round bust and Carr's offenses never being that strong, but he is probably a better value than people think right now.

He hasn't had quite the same level of production but it reminds me of Fulgham a few weeks ago, where no one wanted him but his production forced people to pay attention. In one league, a player has benched Boyd (WR11 in standard) every week, because they just don't respect the name and offense.

Ruggs, Agholor and Renfrow had 3 targets each. Agholor had another TD though. That's 5 TD in 8 games. Still no one talking about this guy

There’s talk.   He has a role in LV and is probably the best of the WRs to own in LV at the moment.   Carr spreads the ball around which makes Agholor difficult to trust.

Nelson Agholor caught 1-of4 targets for eight yards in the Raiders' Week 10 win over the Broncos.

Darren Waller saw five targets versus Denver while Josh Jacobs and Henry Ruggs each saw four looks. Agholor was an ancillary piece in a low-volume attack this week and he'll remain on the outskirts of fantasy viability in Week 11. The Raiders face the Chiefs next week in a game that will almost certainly see them attempt more than 25 pass attempts. Agholor will slot in as a WR5/6 in that game and should only be rostered in the deepest of leagues.

Nelson Agholor caught 5-of-6 targets for 54 yards in the Raiders' Week 12 loss to the Falcons.

The Raiders' WR1, Agholor has 50 yards and/or one touchdown in six of the last eight games and has become Derek Carr's most-trusted outside weapon behind Darren Waller and sometimes Hunter Renfrow inside. Agholor is a weekly WR4 with some touchdown upside and gets an easy Week 13 date against the Jets.

Nelson Agholor was sidelined on Wednesday with an ankle injury.

Agholor caught five passes for 54 yards in the Raiders' blowout loss to the Falcons, and it would be a shame if he missed Week 13's ideal matchup against the Jets. Perhaps Henry Ruggs would be more involved if Agholor is held out of action.

Was thinking the same thing, with Ruggs out like his chance alittle more. Thinking tonight might be a shootout.

Dont have alot of options, wither Nelson, Claypool or Viska, even tempted to go double TE with Tonyan

I have to make a call on a WR2:

B. Cooks or Algolor

Nelson Agholor caught 4-of-8 targets for 49 yards in the Raiders' Week 15 loss to the Chargers.

Tonight had a little bit of everything for Agholor, including a quarterback change from Derek Carr to Marcus Mariota after the second series. Agholor caught a 30-yard pass from Carr and drew a DPI in the end zone on a Mariota target in the third quarter. He also dislocated a finger that had to be popped back in and endured a Mariota hospital ball that resulted in a painful ribs shot. Agholor is going to need all nine days between now and the Raiders' Week 16 game against the Dolphins to heal up. He will be more of a WR4 than WR3 for the fantasy finals.

Well you guys got your floor, hard to hate that. Catching up, I am surprised people are benching Claypool for him, I know he’s had a bad few weeks but he just tore up CIN a month or so ago, and DJ is coming off a benching that would make you think they’ll involve the other WRs more.

Claypool’s usage has been mystifying after his hot start, but I’d still have a hard time benching him in the playoffs if the alternative is floor guys like Agholor

Nelson Agholor caught 5-of-6 targets for 155 yards and a touchdown in the Raiders' Week 16 loss to the Dolphins.

Agholor continues to be everything Henry Ruggs was supposed to be when the Raiders made him the first receiver selected in the 2020 NFL Draft. His score came on a deep bomb from Carr. After securing the catch, Agholor shook one defender and then crossed up a safety on his way to the end zone. It was his eighth score of the year and his third game topping 100 receiving yards. Agholor and Darren Waller have been a surprisingly effective tandem for Derek Carr. Agholor's ceiling makes him a solid WR3 option for Week 17 against the Broncos.

Raiders GM Mike Mayock said the team would "love" to re-sign impending free agent WR Nelson Agholor.

“Nelly’s one of my favorite people in the whole world,” Mayock said in his press conference. "He brought a work ethic, a toughness, he brought the young guys along with him, and he brought productivity and trust with our quarterback. So all of those things he brought, we don’t want to lose. We’d love to have Nelly back. That’s a guy that I can’t tell you how much appreciation I have for.” Agholor reportedly told his teammates they "were selfish and didn’t work hard enough" after their Week 16 loss to the Dolphins, so it's unclear whether the receiver is in much of a hurry to re-sign in Las Vegas. Even so, his rapport with Derk Carr was off the charts, finishing second on the team in both targets (82) and receiving yards (896). Returning to the Raiders is arguably the 27-year-old's best-case scenario for fantasy.

Patriots agreed to terms with WR Nelson Agholor, formerly of the Raiders.

Agholor has a resurrection of sorts with the Raiders last season, going 48-896-8 on 82 targets as Derek Carr's favorite target. He played in Vegas on a one-year, minimum deal and now cashes in with the Patriots. Agholor's 2020 was a bit on the fluky side with some wildly long touchdowns. It's hard to get too excited about him in New England's run-heavy offense, but he's probably the best player in the receiver room at the moment.

Nelson Agholor (ankle) did not participate in Thursday's practice.

Well, so much for that being a non-issue. Agholor's status for Sunday is up in the air after a Thursday DNP. It's a tough spot for Mac Jones with N'Keal Harry already on IR. If Agholor sits and the Patriots don't make a move before the game, Gunner Olszewski is the most-tenured option to join the three-wideout sets with Kendrick Bourne and Jakobi Meyers. Malcolm Perry, a recent waiver claim from Miami, is another option. The Patriots have Kristian Wilkerson and Tre Nixon on their practice squad to potentially be elevated as well if Agholor can't bounce back on Friday.

Patriots WR Nelson Agholor (ankle) is active for Week 1 against the Dolphins.

It's unclear how healthy Agholor might be after missing Thursday's practice, but the Patriots are not a team to force the issue if a player isn't healthy. Fantasy managers also shouldn't force the issue with Agholor as a WR4/5 against the Dolphins' elite secondary. Inactive for the Patriots are OLB Ronnie Perkins, K Quinn Nordin, CB Shaun Wade, OT Yodny Cajuste, TE Devin Asiasi and RB J.J. Taylor.

Nelson Agholor caught 5-of-7 targets for 72 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots' Week 1 loss to the Dolphins.

Agholor did a solid job clearing space down the field while leading the Pats in receiving yards. His touchdown was a seven-yarder where he made the inside defender miss to free himself for a fairly-routine score. Agholor's ankle was not an issue after slowing him during the week. Mac Jones targeted seven different pass catchers at least three times, so this is going to be a crowded group, but Agholor could offer some big-play juice as a low-end WR4. The Jets are on tap for Week 2.

Nelson Agholor caught 2-of-8 targets for 17 yards in Week 3 against the Saints.

Agholor took a backseat to Kendrick Bourne, who led the Patriots in receiving. His eight targets were still a season high, though Agholor has now been held under 30 yards in consecutive weeks. Even with James White (hip) injured, Agholor shouldn't be counted on as more than a WR4 for Sunday night's matchup with the Bucs.

Nelson Agholor caught 2-of-5 targets for 51 yards and a touchdown in the Patriots' Week 7 win over the Jets.

Agholor's touchdown game on a trick play pass from Kendrick Bourne, and he had an additional 27 yard reception. Agholor could see similar limited target volume against the Chargers next week if the Patriots opt to attack on the ground. On the other hand, the Chargers could force the Patriots to pass in a way that the Jets' had no hope of doing. Agholor will be a weak FLEX play in Week 8.

Nelson Agholor caught 5-of-5 targets for 40 yards and a touchdown in New England's Week 11 win over Atlanta.

Agholor activated his invisibility cloak on his touchdown as he was completely unguarded over the middle and Atlanta's secondary couldn't manage to tackle him before he made it to the goal line. Kendrick Bourne's emergence has left Agholor mostly on the outs in fantasy, but if you used him in DFS tonight, congratulations on the educated guess. Week 12's matchup against the Titans will be yet another tough one to recommend Agholor in.
