****OFFICIAL 2021 IN- SEASON DYNASTY TRADES****

But crossing positions created a big drop off in some leagues that doesn't exist in others.

I think you're too hung up on league format. The issue to me isn't so much a dropoff in production due to different starting lineup variations, but rather a significant difference in expected longevity. I look at a 3-year window, but some guys will force me to change that to a 5-year one. That happens at WR not RB.

It's so systemically skewed towards receivers now that you can literally say that the number one dynasty receiver is worth more than the number one dynasty running back PLUS another elite receiver.

Pick your favorite dynasty format. If I told you that I traded the guy ranked #1 overall for #5 and #45, would you say that's a good deal?
Almost always yes. Because there's rarely a huge difference between 1 and 5 unless the format creates a significant tier drop. Any time I can trade a player for someone in the same tier and add a significant piece I will do it.

Change Gurley to brown or Julio, do you trade Beckham for brown and an early first round rookie pick? Absolutely yes I do. But crossing positions created a big drop off in some leagues that doesn't exist in others.

The largest difference in value between any 5 positions is 1 to 6 versus any other 5.

The tier one is OBJ then brown and julio. Gurley is not in that group

That's a really interesting deal because I can totally see either one of them being a beast going forward, but I can also imagine a world where neither one of them is ever a fantasy starter again. Gun to my head I probably take Gordon because I'm slightly more afraid of Langford getting porked during the NFL draft than I am of Gordon getting busted in the next 3 months but I'd probably be trying to package either one for a stud I felt more confident in.

Jeremy Langford

For

Josh Gordon

Langford

This is an interesting trade because as a Gordon owner I probably wouldn't trade him for Langford even though I think that's a good deal. I've just held him for so long, and at 1 point he was the #1 overall WR with 0 good QBs. Potentially Gordon will be the better fantasy player long term, but Langford has a much higher floor (imo).

I will take Gordon all day. Of course, he could get popped again and be done forever, but I think he is the superior talent and I wouldn't be surprised if the Bears take a RB in the draft (maybe Zeke in the 1st).

I would also take Gordon over Langford

I'd take Gordon also, but I'd be very surprised if the Bears use an early pick at RB. That's not to say that a 4th round RB (for example) couldn't beat out Langford, but with a serviceable, at worst, back already on the team and a roster with a lot of holes taking a RB early would be a poor move.

I'll take Evans and Rawls with the McCoy news and I'm still an Evans believer.

Ebron vs Ajayi may depend on team need. Pretty even for me.

Give me Benjamin and Matthews easily.

Cooper for Cooks and Simms is close but I'll take Cooper.

Give me the 2.03 pick over Adams.

I'll take Ivory over the picks if I need a RB now but pretty even for me.

I'll take Watkins over Bortles.

I'll take 1.04 and Hillman over Escobar.

2 FFPC Trades:

Hopkins for Landry, 1.6, 1.11, and 2017 late 3rd

1.3 and 2013 4th for 1.6 and 2017 late 1st

Hopkins for me. Pile of picks makes pretty bait, but not buying.

I will happy take another 1st to move down theee spots. Can't see any huge tier breaks between 3-6 anyway, with the WRs not well differentiated.

I would like to know how the 2013 pick works though...can I pick anyone not rostered from that draft?

1.3 and 2017 4th for 1.6 and 2017 late 1st

I'll take Hopkins side on first deal. I like Landry but I turned down an offer yesterday for Hopkins in same format that to me was better than the haul he brought back in this trade and I was not very close to accepting that deal.

Second deal is a huge win for team moving back 3 spots for a 2017#1.

Even if the Bears did not draft a single RB or sign a FA RB for more than the league minimum I'd take Gordon.

This seems really light for Watkins.

Never played in a dual QB league but I imagine if I did I'd still think this was to light for Watkins and if it's a one start QB leagues it's just horrible.

It doesn't appear this is a 2QB or superflex league. If so that makes a lot more sense, but as is this is a horrible underpay for Watkins.

and it would be silly to totally throw the towel in on Adams.

I'm honestly not sure how "silly" that would be. Adams may have blown the best chance he's ever going to get with his terrible play last season when the team needed him. Nelson and Montgomery will be back this season and Janis' strong playoff game could push him past Adams on the depth chart as well.

Its a 16 team league and one of the pucks is 1.04. Rest are middle to end of first round. I obviously like the trade but I don't think Julius is junk and it would be silly to totally throw the towel in on Adams.

Julius is worth the 3rd, even in a TE premium league. Adams is worth a 3rd to the right person, but he's damaged goods. Also, I hope you're not counting on Barnidge (Cameron 2.0)

Agreed. Hard as it is to win a league, I will usually take the higher ceiling over the higher floor.

2016 1st round pick #1 1st overall

For

2016 1st round pick #5 5th overall

2016 1st round pick #12 12th overall

2016 1st round pick #9 9th overall

DLF rookie pick chart says this is too light for the #1 by about the value of the 10th overall pick. And in a year that most are saying doesn't currently do well beyond the first two picks, it makes it even worse.

Maybe true.

I personally don't think as much of Elliott or Treadwell as others apparently do and would prefer to split my risk out this year.

I'd have to be pretty thin at RB to trade Sammy for that
When two rb1s for a wr2 is easy to reject the format is a problem

You don't actually play in any dynasty leagues, do you? Watkins is not a dynasty WR2.

The format is the format. Thanks for the update on your views on ppr.

Isn't there a league format thread somewhere on the internet to rant on?

Besides Elliott (assuming the nonPPR guy takes him) isn't even in the NFL so hardly an RB1...this time last year Gordon was an RB1 too and how'd that turn out? Ingram (a former 1.01 +/-) took 4 years to be an RB1...

That's eight receivers I doubt anyone argues should be ahead of Watkins.

After that you get into Evans, cooks, Benjamin who have youth and talent and guys like Marshall, Edelman and Jordy who have a few years of high end production compared to a longer career that may or may not take off. Watkins is at best a low end wr1 and imo he's a wr2.

But in that format, ppr start 1 rb 1 we 3 flex, I agree that he's probably worth as much as two quality backs.
