QB Deshaun Watson, CLE (6 Viewers)

IMO the only way he sees another snap is if everything by all the women was completely fabricated and it was all a master plan....and it just doesn’t feel like that with so many involved...
if he avoids a criminal conviction or even if he gets a conviction on some lesser charge that avoids jail time he's definitely going to play again in the NFL. he's 26 and is an ELITE NFL qb.

Not taking sides one way or another but has Wastson been charged with a crime?  Is he under police investigation?  Honestly haven't followed this much.  However him getting suspended has nothing to do with either of the above....

That was entirely predictable.

Buzbee is full of hot air.  That doesn't mean his clients are not telling the truth, but to the layperson it doesn't look like their a lawyer is handling this in a way that increases credibility.
buzbee said earlier this week that the evidence would be submitted hopefully by today.

edit: buzbee said he'd issue another statement by today

Huh, last week he said a packet would be with Houston PD by Monday, the Monday that was 4 days ago.

looks like i misremembered his rebuttal to rusty hardin earlier this week.

“My second reaction is a question: why would his marketing agent admit Watson had sex for pay with a massage therapist, consensual or otherwise? We will also provide a copy of the non-disclosure agreement that Deshaun Watson and his marketing manager repeatedly insisted that Jane Doe (and others) sign after (and sometimes before) the ‘massage session,’ which she refused to sign. I do appreciate Mr. Hardin’s professionalism and his words of support for victims, but would respectfully suggest there are many facts here, that we will put in public filings, that Mr. Hardin might not be aware of. We will provide additional details in a statement, consistent with our ethical obligations in due course. I’m hoping we can do so by Friday.”

You can never trust anything ESPN runs across the screen but I thought I saw briefly where they had big words on the screen indicating that the Houston Texans wanted to trade Watson but now are feeling like they need to hold on until they get thru these lawsuits.

-It also would be a wonderful time for a team that was going to make a strong pitch anyways for Watson to follow thru immediately...it sounded like Houston was sour grapes because of the lawsuits perhaps impacting his trade value but I believe they are also encouraging teams to come right at them for Watson. "If you want to give us that outlandish trade offer still we will read any and all offers"

The tune a few weeks ago was they weren't even answering the phones for Watson inquiries. That has changed drastically in the last week or two.
Now is the time on sprockets when we LOL TEXANS for not taking the 4 1sts offers

Thanks I did not think you were relaying inaccurate info, I was just pointing out that he said the same thing last week. This guy has quickly evolved into "I'll believe it when I see it" status.

This article was from last week:

https://www.khou.com/article/news/local/deshaun-watson-lawsuits-attorney-tony-buzbee-affidavits-evidence-houston-police-harris-county-district-attorney/285-cf23fbdc-c0d0-4940-a7ac-cb76c45f8a35

HOUSTON — The attorney representing the women accusing Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson of civil or sexual assault said Saturday he plans to submit affidavits and evidence to Houston authorities next week.

Attorney Tony Buzbee said his team plans to submit the documents to the Houston Police Department and the Harris County District Attorney on Monday morning. Buzbee said he also plans to request a grand jury consider the evidence provided.

This sounds so much like the opening saga of when girls do porn was exposed. From one person that came forward, to a host of women, to terrible allegations. Started as a civil action and then became criminal.

Watson flew some of these women in. I'm curious how close his actions, if proven, come to sex trafficking.

Which is a fairly typical reaction most would have if they just read one side of a lawsuit.
Not necessarily. It's usually not too hard to imagine what the other side will say in their defense. I'm not coming up with anything that makes sense.

A blank NDA.  Woah, case cracked wide open.
So you’re going with they are fabricating evidence?  There is an entire story about it.  I agree it is boiler plate junk.  Precisely the sort of thing Watson himself would pull off the internet and ignorantly believe protected him.

I don’t like how things look for Watson, but this NDA piece is ridiculous. Who is this lady even posting it?  It’s been up all day and has like 6 retweets. Why should I believe her?

also is not evidence.  It’s literally a blank NDA that no one has signed.

I may have read some bad info but understood one of the plaintiff signed it, returned it, and asked for a signed copy back but didn’t get one.

What she has there is a blank NDA that has Watson’s named typed in at the top. They claim the victim signed one but she doesn’t have a copy, they haven’t claimed to have seen a signed NDA, there is zero proof a signed NDA exists.

Yet.  If she signed and scanned to him she may still have a copy.  And, if she can prove he sent one to her the damage is done (so far as an NDA can do any damage).  Whether she signed it or not is irrelevant.

Sure, so when there’s proof, I’ll care.

OK. Not sure why you think I think it doesn't work that way? Weird.
You mean other then you saying you read one side, said it looks bad, can't offer a plausible explanation for his behavior and then proceeded to say that you can imagine his defense and none of it would make sense. Yea, that's really weird of me to think you are waiting for him to have his say before determining his guilt.
