Damn - this one stings a little. Frank Costanza is one of my all-time favorite supporting roles.RIP Jerry Stiller.
I mean he went from Frank Costanza to Arthur Spooner.....that's like a 15 year career old guyHe's one of those guys that I've thought of as an "Old Guy" most of my life.
Don't tell me Sadaharu Oh just passed to make it a trifecta.(삼가) 고인의 명복을 빕니다
I GOTTA ALOTTA PROBLEMS WITH YOU PEOPLE!!!!sat a mini-shiva on Jerry Stiller by re-watching this touchingly awkward roast of him from 20 years ago. such a lovely man, it was hard for some to "go there" on him and even harder to watch. RIP -
I ended up watching this thanks to your post. That's probably about as nice a legacy as you can leave. The man was so nice (in a business filled with the un-nice) that hardcore roasters really had a hard time going at him even in jest.sat a mini-shiva on Jerry Stiller by re-watching this touchingly awkward roast of him from 20 years ago. such a lovely man, it was hard for some to "go there" on him and even harder to watch. I'm not sure you could say a nicer thing about a man. Both talented & decent. Not as common as one would think.Corporation said:I ended up watching this thanks to your post. I wonder of she knew the answer to the eternal question: did Dottie drop the ball intentionally.Last surviving member of Rockford Peaches, of 'League of Their Own' fame, dies at 101

dammit, these guys from my youth are dropping - yeah, big time all-star - he made the 7-11 slurpee cup collectionRIP bob Watson, 74. Pretty solid player in the 70’s for Houston mainly. Scored the 1.000,000th run in MLB also.

And to think in some countries these dogs are eaten.Fred Willard, thanks for the laughs
Great character actor, all the way through to playing Phil's dad on Modern Family.Fred Willard, thanks for the laughs
“Hey , wha happened” still brings a smileFred Willard, thanks for the laughs
Oh, my goodness. We were friends with Marty Mull & his wife during his Boston years, and watched his first big showbiz break, "host"ing a night of summer pilots on CBS, with Kristin. I've naturally followed his career since and, while Mary Hartman wasn't my cup of tea, Fernwood Tonight was a thorough absurdist joy. One would think they'd have to conduct a nationwide search and possibly do some laboratory work to find a comedian more dry than Marty, but Fred Willard was that bête brut and the result was varietal ecstacy. Sarcasm's greatest hour that didn't involve David Letterman and beat him to the punch by almost a decade. I wont throw any more words at this except to say that the lockdown might be over before we get our comic timing back, losing Stiller & Willard together like that RIP -Fred Willard, thanks for the laughs
They generated something quite similar later in life though - regular guys who were actually pustules of outrage and, therefore perfect second bananas.Someone made the observation that Stiller seemed old for decades. To me, Willard was the opposite. Always seemed youthful, like he was born in his late 40s and stayed there for decades. Makes sense he was 86, but at the same time it didn’t. Always loved his work. Such a natural good vibe.
Right. I never would have guessed he was that old. Surprised me when seeing his age.Someone made the observation that Stiller seemed old for decades. To me, Willard was the opposite. It's even more surprising after you realize that he got busted at a porn theater in 2012.Right. I never would have guessed he was that old. If you have the choice, come back in the Cumberbatch Khan universe, you'll have a better shot.Ughh. Willard? He seemed much younger than 80s. These people are too close to my age and I have no desire to die. Need to look into freezing myself. Sort of like Khan's minions in Star Trek. Wake up in 2000 years and take over the world.
