We do a 10 & 20L. 1L is REALLY small (half a roll of English muffins). I suggest 3 or 5 L if you're going to do it.
No issues with anything sitting in 100 proof booze that longWell the bitters will overpower the drink so go VERY light or just add later.

Hey sorry! 85% bourbon / 10% homemade simple syrup (touch weaker than normal) / 5% No Pulp OJ in the barrel.
rewatched and seen maybe subconsciously bought the Bib old grand dad. Sharing this as it was a great rec from icon and seen a few newer posters getting into bourbon as I am, posting lately. Definatly wanting to find the Weller recomended here or the Weller 12 or Antique. A@Bluesbomber - here’s a good video from The Educated Barfly around 5 favorite bourbons that won’t break the bank. Maybe check these out? I have all 5 of these and all are solid and depending on where you are located (I know where you live!) you can get all of these foe under $30.

Picked it up today. It was way less than what it would go for on the secondary market, but still an expensive bottle.

I’ll be honest - I like the Barrel Proof better so far. I want to let it sit for a while and give it another shot. I didn’t dislike it but it was different. It had an unusual upfront taste on the palate but I loved the finish.
Haven’t had any luck finding it and don’t know of anyone else around me that has. The barrel proof used to be impossible to find but now I see it a lot. Really good stuff
Yeah - I had trouble getting the barrel proof earlier in the year and then it was all over - both the B520 and C920. Both are great.

I would go with the higher proof EW BiB or WT 101 is also a good choice. I may be crazy but I think higher proof ages better.
Great point there. Originally I was dead set on EW BiB but I like BT better and I can easily get my hands on what I need.
Depends on duration of aging. The longer you go, the closer you want to approach zero bitters.

One of my all time favs.
I wasn't a huge fan of that one. It's the one aged in sherry casks, right? I find I don't like those finished bourbons as much as everyone else does.
