Dwayne Allen or Antonio Gates (1 Viewer)

OK, someone dropped Gates this week. I have Gronk and Allen as my 2 Tight Ends. I already (unfortunately) started Gronk last night, so I do not need my backup tight end to play this weekend.

Who do you think has more value Week 4 and on: Allen or Gates?

...Unless you can get them cheap/free and have the roster space, or are playing matchups with two mediocre ones, or can use them as trade bait

Gates is ancient and banged up currently, but he's still gonna be a viable fantasy TE when healthy.  Allen has his own lengthy injury history though.  But the big point here is that you have Gronk, so unless your WRs and RBs suck and you can flex a TE, there is really no need to make huge moves to try and squeeze a penny's worth of value out of your backup TE spot.  Since Gates is injured right now, I'd hang onto Allen. 

I would hold on to Allen, but don't see the need for two tight ends.
