Challengers to Trump in 2020 (1 Viewer)

Nobody affiliated with the current Democratic party.  He is going to drain the swamp, and all of the crooks will be indicted by Rudy.

Maybe the better question is does Trump even make it to 2020? And if he does, do the Republicans run a primary chellenger(s) at him?

Seeing some people throw out Michelle. CNN figured Bernie/ Warren would be logical choice bc they tap into some of that populist vote. Unfortunate if this somehow drags both parties closer to populism.

But two years is a long time. Depends on Trumps success but if this fails, could see experienced candidate run on Obama platform.

Let's start the post-mortem on 2016 with this:

Welcoming your thoughts, @timschochet, @squistion, @TobiasFunke, et al.
The same exact thing was being said about the Republican party 4 years ago. And 8 years ago. And to some extent, it was true. No way does a healthy Republican party nominate Trump.

I think the closer reality is that there are a WHOLE lot of people on both sides who are sick of feeling like our government, and their lives, are controlled by a few select political elites.

Biden probably too old. Looking at what Trump picked up, have to assume he would have done better than Hillary. Death of Beau Biden could be a monumental point in history albeit not guaranteed he gets nomination.

Its been long speculated that the Great Lakes region will shift republican and its finally started.  4 years from now, Minnesota, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Pennsylvania may be red states from the start.  The democrats need to start winning Texas soon just to balance that out.

Maybe Jeb! Will change teams

seriously, I think Booker and Gabbard are two that seem to have that IT factor and could be fine candidates...

Kaine and OMalley will probably explore it, but I don't think they can do it...
