The Russia Investigation: Trump Pardons Flynn (4 Viewers)

So Mueller raids his lawyers office

Cohen records his conversations

an FBI informant, Felix Sater, worked with Trump on a number of projects and had an office in his building

all of that surveillanc (and probably more) and the best you can come up with is to try to infer meanings from what will no doubt be cherry-picked statements bereft of context and bereft of clarifying statements...

Sad

Abu Ghraib was exposed by Amnesty International.

Have we heard anything about Assad's death camps?
The Manning leaks revealed information about the torture program that were not covered by AI.  There is a ton of criminality and corruption that we know about only because of Wikileaks and its sources.

https://www.counterpunch.org/2013/08/21/what-bradley-manning-revealed/

But fair enough.  My point is, did we hear about it because the USG thought we should?  Or because whistleblowers and investigative reporters disclosed the programs?  What side do you think people like Kiriakou and Daniel Ellsberg come down on?

This sort of stuff is almost always intentionally concealed from the public until an informant steps forward.  Wikileaks is better than natsec ghouls.

Why do YOU think Trump surrounded himself with so many criminals?

Just a coincidence?

Jerome Corsi says he's being represented by Larry Klayman, who in 2013 called for a coup against Obama in order to "“cleanse the nation of the half-Muslim, anti-white, socialist fraud in the White House before the nation goes under for the final count.”
This is slightly off-topic, but Larry Klayman has been accused by a former client of raising funds on his behalf and then keeping the money.

The former client (an "internet talk show host" who was part of the 2014 Bundy Ranch standoff) filed a bar complaint. Klayman responded by suing the man for....I'm not quite sure what he's suing him for. But Klayman is randomly accusing the guy of scheming with Roger Stone to discredit Jerome Corsi.

This is just an example of the crazy world we live in now. This story has been completely forgotten. The story of clearly false allegations against Mueller doesn’t even register any more. One positive is that it seems like the Trump presidency will clean up a lot of these conspiracy theorist.

Mark Warner is on Senate Intel committee.  It wasn't a "GOP report".

Can't Cohen's lawyers make sure his testimony stays within permissible guidelines for a public hearing?  They could ask him about Prague for example, and whether this dossier claim was total garbage as has been stated publicly.  Hiding testimony behind the national security claptrap makes Schiff look like he's not exactly confident in the narrative he's been peddling the last couple years.

This is another reason why Wikileaks is better than the national security state for information.  We don't have to spend years waiting on drips of information, and relying on partisan grandstanders to tell us what it means.

It's a serious allegation that has led to accusations of treason, subversion etc., against a sitting president.  The time to be cute about the FBI/SCO's sensibilities is over.  The public deserves better than to be jerked around for years on something of this much import.
1. Not if his lawyers are the same caliber lawyers as their client;

2. What good is his testimony to the Committee if they can't get into matters that would be redacted in current court filings?  What you're describing is a way for Cohen to testify about what he wants to, not about what the Committee wants him to testify.

I'm curious Rove, what do you gain by continually trying to deflect from the crimes that are somewhat clear at this point?

I don't get why you continue to disparage the investigation.  What are you gaining by doing that?

It makes him feel less wrong about everything he's said for the last three years.  Even if you're in the middle of the ocean and drowning, you'll keep gasping for air until the last possible minute.

Maybe I am naive - but I think Mueller is close to wrapping up his involvement, and if Trump was not in Vietnam, I think its likely Mueller could have delivered a report to Barr this week.

We will see.

@mattgaetz -
Hey @MichaelCohen212 - Do your wife & father-in-law know about your girlfriends? Maybe tonight would be a good time for that chat. I wonder if she’ll remain faithful when you’re in prison. She’s about to learn a lot...

Gaetz has a lot of balls for a guy that had a homosexual affair with his pastor and his dad covered up seven DUIs.

from his wiki entry (for now):

Part-Time Job

Sometime during 2019, Gaetz decided to do some federal witness tampering and blackmail on the side -- mistakenly believing, perhaps, that this is not a jailable criminal offense.

Wasn’t there something in Russian hacker indictment about a Congressman who asked and received hacked emails from his opponent? I remember that rumor was that it was either Gaetz or DeSantis. Could be Matt has something to lose here.

Wohl stressed that the accuracy of the information he spreads is “not the important part.” All that matters is how far those claims travel, and how many people believe them.
Annnd Wohl is off twitter, for a while anyway.

Jerry Nadler on the Matt Gaetz tweet:

"I'm not going to waste time to every stupid thing that Matt Gaetz says, but it does remind me of the president's tweeting or talking to Fox News and, in effect, threatening Michael Cohen's father-in-law." @allinwithchris

I wish this could actually happen here.

"Mr. Stone told Mr. Trump that he had just gotten off the phone with Julian Assange and that Mr. Assange told Mr. Stone that, within a couple of days, there would be a massive dump of emails that would damage Hillary Clinton's campaign”

tick tock
From a legal standpoint, can Stone talk about this, or is the gag order an all encompassing type of judgment?

I don’t think it would be advisable for Roger Stone to talk about anything related to his charges.  Which include lying about contact with Julian Assange.

Oh, and @ren hoek, it does appear that the Special Counsel does have more evidence of Stone communicating with Assange than the messages we knew about long ago.  Sorry about that.

Testimony Of Michael D. Cohen - Committee On Oversight And Reform U.S. House Of Representatives [February 27, 2019]

I recognize that some of you may doubt and attack me on my credibility. It is for this reason that I have incorporated into this opening statement documents that are irrefutable, and demonstrate that the information you will hear is accurate and truthful.
I am providing the Committee today with several documents. These include:
