Who's in for a full 7 round "match what you think the team will do" mock draft?

Trades will be allowed if both sides agree.  If you really think your team will make a specific deal but the other team here won't agree to it, for example the pats drafter thinks they trade jimmy G to the Bears for 1.03 but the Bears drafter won't agree to it, just say so here - the point is to generate discussion.

Take a team or two, first person to post gets that team.  Hope we can get this started Monday.

Advice: You'll never get through seven rounds. Start with three and see how it goes.
I kind of agree with this - plus after about Round three the exercise becomes somewhat futile in that our "guesses" are a real stretch.

With that said I'll take the Jets for now, but I have to be honest, I'd lose some interest after round 4 I think (if their is some one else that would be more enthusiastic about seven rounds I would not be upset if they take the Jets instead).

I'm not saying that you're wrong.... but why not be ambitious this early? There are 7 round mocks out there if you run out of players.
If this falters so be it.  I'm not going to push hard after the 3rd round for the reasons you, bolt and Andy state.  But I would like to see how far we can get.

They don't have a 1st round pick but I will take the Vikings. Then Andy can tell me who would have been a better pick.

I have mostly been looking at offensive linemen and safeties so far which I consider to be the Vikings biggest needs. Listened to Mike Zimmers press conference and he said he hasn't even looked at any RBs yet, but obviously the scouting department has. He said that they want to stay strong on defense and that they won't rob Peter to pay Paul, so defensive players still may be options in rounds 2 and 3 although I would prefer those picks be focused on improving the offensive line.

Zimmer said another interesting thing about player development. That it takes longer for corners and offensive linemen to develop than other positions. I am not sure if that means they don't want to invest high draft picks at the offensive line because of their impatience in developing them. If that is the case then maybe they shouldn't be taking offensive line players based on their athleticism if they are not going to coach them up. I got the sense from his comments that they intend to use free agency to address the offensive line more than the draft. I have heard him say before that he thinks line players need a year in the strength and nutrition program of the team before they are ready to play.

I suppose I shouldn't be tipping my hand to competitors, but I think safety is very strong this year and the Vikings may go that direction in round 2 if a player they like falls that far.

Under tackle and a 3rd LB are also needs.

If other Vikings fans want to give suggestions I will definitely take them into consideration. Maybe a offensive lineman will be available that they couldn't pass up, like last season when they drafted Alexander at corner while Whitehair was still on the board.

I'd do a second team if needed but would prefer it to be in close vicinity of Steelers pick I'm already doing.

Gave you the Falcons but assume you're good with changing to the pack if someone wants the Falconers.

I can take a second team as well, give me Dallas unless someone comes in that really wants them.

Wow, we can't even fill this thing in several days? What happened to this forum?

I'll also take BAL as an AFC team if that moves things along. There used to be so many great Ravens fans on this board. I can't promise I'll do what Ozzie would but who can?

Andy Dufresne said:
Denver won't give picks for Romo.
Just do us a favor as the NEW GM of the donkeys and if you are going to pound your chest on twitter when Semen has a good game at the start of the season if you are going to shrink into the shadows when your QB strategy shoots you in the foot by the end of the season. No matter what you do you couldn't duplicate elway and his huge whiff at giving his team even a chance at the post season last year.

Teams with GM "vacancies"

Chargers

Bills

Saints

Cardinals

Eagles

Seahawks

Chiefs

Patriots

Ilov80s and I are willing to take another team, which leaves 6 in need.

I'm inclined to claim the Chiefs but I thought we had at least a few big time Chiefs fans in the pool.

I will take the Chargers. I feel like their can't be many Chargers fans around.

Thought aboutIf taking the saints, but if I do I'm trading cooks to the Titans.
