Sightings of big pinky rings and Tacchini tracksuits will surely spike this month in Brooklyn as Willie DeMeo makes his directorial debut shooting the TV pilot for “The Neighborhood,” a mobbed-up drama set in the 1980s.
“I grew up in Brooklyn and I’m shooting it like it really was,” said DeMeo, who just played Sammy “The Bull” Gravano in “The Life and Death of John Gotti” opposite John Travolta.
“It’s time the world gets to see how it really went down in Brooklyn during John Gotti’s heyday.”
The cast of “The Neighborhood” includes James Russo, Lou Lombardi, Nick Turturro, A.J. Benza and Paul Ben-Victor.
