Whether he Meant to or not, Houston Nutt Got Spectacular Revenge
Cliff's: Houston Nutt (I did not make that name up), who used to coach Ole Miss, is suing the school and replacement coach Hugh Freeze (ditto) on the grounds that they leaked false reports to the press to damage Nutt's reputation, and get NCAA violations pinned on him. As part of the suit, Nutt's lawyers filed a Freedom of Information Act request for Freeze's cell phone records. Ostensibly that was to prove that there was contact between Freeze and the reporters who were writing the damning stories about Nutt. Although Freeze was allowed to redact "personal" calls, somehow he missed one one-minute call to an escort service. Not sure how, but that also got out to the press, and Freeze had to resign in a very publicly embarrassing way.
