I think education regarding government and civics is far more important.
High school diploma is worth one voting unit.
College degree is another unit.
Degree in the humanities, such as philosophy, sociology, economics, history, etc (something ensuring the voter has read Plato, Aristotle, Kant, Marx, mill, Adam smith, Madison, Rawls, nozick, etc.) is five more voting units.
Degree in political science is one hundred units.
JD, LLM, or a doctorate in civics or the humanities is one thousand units.
Military service also warrants one hundred units since they should have some say in where they’re sent to kill or be killed.

A maximum number of voters should be educated....in the US Constitution.
I would propose the following:
1. A comprehensive study of the US Constitution will begin in the 6th grade.
2. This study (class) on the US Constitution should continue through grade 12, advancing each year..
3. A comprehensive exam concerning the US Constitution should be administered in the 12th grade with a passing grade needed for graduation.
ETA: I don't care if the classes are offered in every language on the planet.

I think all Presidential candidates should have to pass a test on their first try getting 80% minimum or they can't run. If that had been the case in 2016 I wonder who would be in the oval office....certainly someone else.

ALL politicians holding office should have mandatory drug tests including PODs (piss on demand).
Oh...and if the winner was the HIGH SCORE... it would have been Ted Cruz (had we weren't so "racist" against people born in Canada)

actually working and owing property or businesses etc is having a vested interest in how this country goes.
I've said it before - Trump needs this country to boom, his entire wealth is vested in it. If stock market crashes, housing crashing, he is going to lose billions
If Hillary was president and it all crashed what would she lose? Nothing really - her wealth isn't tied to it.

I have no idea what's fake or not. Obviously someone is lying but how are we to know. There is not fake news, the news channels just reported what they were told. The people in the meeting are the one's telling us nonsense. How are we to know which ones are telling the truth?
I have my opinion based on what I've heard and you have yours. I won't tell people that Trump said it because I don't know for sure but I will tell people what I think happened. That's all there is to it right now.

I don't watch the news on TV. I take information in from multiple sources online and develop my own opinion. It was said. Flake said other senators at the meeting told him so before the news broke. The WH did not deny it the first 24 hours. Trump called friends asking their reaction admitting to them he said it. Lindsey Graham confirmed it indirectly and challenged Trump at the time in the meeting over those words. The two senators who dispute it now didn't remember if the POTUS said it or not and then parsed words, because it turns out they have told others privately they heard #### house instead of #### hole.
I know you have little credibility here, but at least admit he said it or words to that effect and move on rather than continuing to embarrass yourself further with something you probably don't even believe.

I wish you'd stop doing this. The background is that Cotton and Perdue - and now Nielsen - have said that Trump did not use that exact wording and that Durbin "misrepresented" what was said. When asked what Trump said they refused to state what it was. There has been no legitimate contradiction.

If the middle and lower class struggle does it affect Trump? Do Trump's business ventures cater to the middle and lower classes? I don't think so. I'm pretty confident Trump only cares about the higher class since that's his consumer base. His goal is to keep the rich that way because that's what benefits him the most.

It affects all of us but those rich corporations will remain rich and now they get even bigger tax breaks to be richer yet. Trump will remain rich as well. He caters to the rich not the middle and lower class. If everything comes crumbling down he'll be sitting high and dry. It's not much different for all the other politicians though.
