#Walkaway movement from the democrat party—BLEXIT is happening folks!

I assume people walk away from both sides at different times in their lives for different reason and with a country as large as ours you will always be able to find people to prove your point.  

But ignoring that, how about we focus on our community - the one where we have know people for years - people that have told their walk away story (whether it be walking away from one party to the other or from one party to being Independent).  GBs like Yankee and Ivan and Bob and Woz - hell, I will include myself to a degree.  There’s lots of people around here, smart people, who have have said that they can no longer vote with the party and for the policies of that party any more.  And that party is the GOP.  I’d love to here from somebody here that we’ve known for years and has the opposite story and would be willing to share that story.

You see, there’s always going to be policy differences, there’s always going to be differences on tax cuts and how we spend our money - I think everybody expects those things and debates around it can be healthy.  But right now we have a side that is demonizing immigration and is telling minorities they shouldn’t protest.  Immigration and protesting are two things that make our country great.  If people really want to walk towards those policies then it says a lot more to me about those people than about what they claim they are walking away from.

Simple enough....take any one of the proposed items and ask yourself how many decades of that program could be paid for by the tax cut package that Trump and the GOP gave to rich people and big business.  Being concerned about paying for things is very 1999.....that ship has sailed.

What I have heard talking to people is they are tired of feeling like they are looked down on by the left.  I've posted before that a good # voted for trump because of that.  

Maybe Gopher is saying that their platform isn't negative, but they are getting caught up in the negative tactics of the right?  Ie if you don't support young trans kids getting hormones and surgery you are a transphobe,  if you say men and women aren't the same, you are sexist and could get tagged for hate speech, etc..  it turns people off from both sides when your views are crapped on.
