I agree. When I first started, I once got insulted by an offer. Then, after talking with the owner, I realized his reasoning and his valuation process, and while I didn't agree with it, I began to think about trading and that I shouldn't get my dander up. Plus, regarding your first post, my main league is sort of a league that doesn't move guys, so any trade offer with the opportunity to counter is always appreciated by me. I like offers and counters and wheeling and dealing, and I'm in sort of a stagnant league. I love doing this, so any consideration or help in making my team better is always appreciated.See, I think that trading is a fascinating science. And I think there are subtle, psychological factors at play way beyond the actual offer. Yes, there are guys that offer ridiculous trades. But the mere fact they clicked that button to begin with tells me they are interested.
I don't think anyone is trying to take advantage of my knowledge, really. I just know that people and the way they negotiate is different. I'm also unafraid to not to do the deal if it's not beneficial, generally and hopefully to both.
