[Dynasty] 2020 NFL Draft Class (2 Viewers)

I am in love with this class. I went into rebuild mode mid-2019, and currently hold the 1.1, 1.8, 2.1 and 2.5 in my 14-Team Dyn League. We're midway into our 4-week RFA Period right now, with the Rookie/UFA Draft scheduled for the end of the month/early September, and while I haven't started bending over backwards, I have made fair overtures to the Owners of every pick between 1-21 in an effort to acquire as many players from this class as I can get my hands on.

 
The Athletic reports rookie Chargers WR Joe Reed has spent time with the running backs. 

An "offensive weapon" type, Reed will have to be comfortable at multiple positions to earn snaps in the Chargers' crowded skill corps. It's possible 22-year-old Reed will spend 2020 marinating on the practice squad.

Browns TE Harrison Bryant has “stood out” with his play on the field and ability to grasp the offense.

Bryant had been getting first-team reps in 12 personnel with David Njoku (wrist) sidelined. "He’s a very locked-in young man," coach Kevin Stefanski said. “He's on top of his assignments. Very pleased with where he is." Bryant opened training camp behind Austin Hooper and Njoku on the depth chart, but it’s possible he’s played his way into a timeshare for the No. 2 role.

Jets RB Lamical Perine will have an MRI on his ankle after being carted off the field in training camp.

Perine was taken to the locker room on a cart after suffering an ankle injury during a scrimmage. Ian Rapoport reports that it's believed to be just a sprain. Jets coach Adam Gase said that he will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury. He was competing with Frank Gore for the backup role behind Le'Veon Bell. Perine could have given Bell some rest on third-downs. He caught 40 passes in his final season at Florida and is a solid pass-blocker.

I think that Harrison Bryant will be a far more valuable dynasty asset to have on your roster versus David Njoku by this time next year and possibly by the end of this season.

Jets rookie RB Lamical Perine has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle.

Per the New York Post's Brian Costello, it's not believed to be serious after Perine was carted off over the weekend. The fourth-rounder isn't expected to get much run as a rookie on offense if both Le'Veon Bell and Frank Gore stay healthy.

I don't play superflex and part the reason why is QBs are made too important.  I can't imagine any fantasy draft where Herbert goes that high.

 
One thing I like about Superflex + TE premium is that it makes the rookie draft far deeper and adds some more strategy elements.  In a one QB league, we all did late round QB which devalues the position too much in my opinion.  

 
Not really the place for this convo...I don't play any superflex currently, but it makes more sense to me in general that QBs should be more highly valued and equivalent to the flex positions seeing as how they're super important in real life.

The Browns are carrying 5 TEs and a FB so this is going to be a run-first offense.  Their 'should' be a lot of 12 personnel but Bryant needs to bulk-up a bit to be effective as a blocker.  Hopefully he can carve out a role at the goal line since that 'seems' be his best shot at sub-package work.

I agree with Mac that he's a great late season dynasty add since Njuko is not likely to get an extension.  Next year he 'could' take a big step.

I think these rankings are all over the board, no?  When were these rankings created?  

Bryan Edwards and Antonio Gibson should receive a pretty high bump, as their workload is projected to increase due to injury or release of players ahead of them?

The disclaimer is in the header (August 2020).  The lag is such that I use the consensus as a reference but create my own and adjust per league rules, tendencies, and latest news.

 
Perhaps the lack of a preseason has prevented cutting thru the normal fluff but I can't remember ever (for me that's about 20 years worth of ff) being so intrigued by a wr draft class as its rookie season begins.  

When I look at most of the (offensive) class, I yawn and think:
Qbs: Average
Rbs: Average to possibly average+
Tes: Average to average-
Wrs: The bells start going bonkers.  Typically I have 2 or 3 that I want and several interesting sleepers to stash.  This year, the want list goes 8 deep (2 tiers) with an additional 5 that I really like and place above the usual sleeper stashes.
